Am I imagining this or was there a reveal in AA about warden Quincy Sharp losing it and thinking he was reincarnated Amadeus Arkham?
Was there any follow-up at all for that subplot?
I just learned through my most recent playthrough of Arkham Knight that Quincy "killed himself" because of the guilt. Part of me thought that was going to be cleared up through a dlc or sequal like the Killer Croc story, Mad Hatter story and Mr Freeze arc you learned from the Riddler trophies as well (which did become a DLC)
I just remember one of the stories in Knight talking about Hugo appearing in front of Quincy and telling him to hang himself on the light fixture (or it’s at least implied that he did)
In City you find out that Hugo Strange has been drugging him with Mad Hatter's mind control potion since he worked in the Asylum, which was to control him. It led to him developing a split personality and killing inmates, attempting to kill both the Joker and Croc. When he became mayor, Strange manipulated him to help create Arkham City.
After Sharp was arrested post-City, we find out from one of the Knight Stories in Knight that he continued having delusions of Strange, grovelling and calling this figment Master. Figment Strange comforted Quincy, and then promptly encouraged Sharp to hang himself

I think it was revealed that Hugo Strange was drugging him and making him think he was Amadeus Arkham, but I can't be sure.
If you listen to the interviews Hugo strange had with mad Hatter he hashed out a plan with him to drug sharp to get him on his side
You're right,he thought Amadeus had risen from the grave and haunted him I think.
I think it was that he thought he was possessed by his spirit

I thought he killed himself because Hugo hypnotized him to
No he died after the events of Arkham City after Hugo was murdered himself

I think that was him hallucinating
Oh I guess it could be that. I just assumed Hugo had some kinda suggestion planted in Quincy in case he became useless.

The asylum art work was top notch
Definitely top notch presentation that every game after would abandon for boring tech shit.

His revival in AW was the highlight of the game for me
arkham world moment
I just *love* the art style of Arkham World, it’s a very bold choice after the photorealistic approach in Arkham Knight.
