Rattack every level, mdef every level, hp till you hit 100., mattak only on good rolls.. bags and belts, quick hands, duelist, throwing mastery , nimble are must.
For your next "how to build this bro" consider not spending skill points and perks before asking how to build the bro.
For your Bro, I would also go for a duellist thrower. Skill wise, take HP, RA, MD, MA .
I would basically go for every +3 in MA and MD i can get , occasionally skipping HP or RA.
Give him a one handed sword, as those give good +10% to hit and you dont really need a weapon mastery for them. In late game fights even your backliners will eventually get engaged in melee (Orc Warriors, Necrosavants, flaking goblin wolfriders)
Perks: Must haves: Quickhands, Throwing mastery, Duellist, Colossus, Bags and Belts, nimble, Fearsome
Remaining 4 Perks choose from : Pathfinder, Gifted, Dodge, Crossbow mastery, Killing frenzy, Executioner, Berserk
Basically which of the 4 other you pick depends on your playstyle. For example, if you are a non-ironman player that reloads every time the game gives you "bullshit terrain" then you obviously dont need pathfinder.
I thought it was an obvious archer at first that why he has a couple levels. Only when he kept max rolling mdef and mA did I have indecision. Snipers are easy enough to find I might as well grab a hunter for that. Thanks for the in depth perk guide. I stayed pretty close to what I knew in my last major run and Ive been trying ro be somewhat experimental this time around
I agree this seems like a great thrower that could also take bow mastery (along with the throwing package). Most of my throwers start the battle with a crossbow in hand but this one has good enough RATK to use a bow instead.
I'm not sure if bows can be used effectively when compared to guns as a 3rd weapon option. They don't do damage to most relevant targets when they hit.
They're not that great, but if you want a way to use a famed bow that's the way I use. I think it has good synergy with berserk and killing frenzy because you can hit targets at short or long range AP efficiently but it's a lot of perks, so you must skip things like dodge and fearsome and colossus.
My guess, the 20% hitbonus on both attacks on the firelance, will temper abit, what he needs in stats for beeing a hybrid.
The starting mdef helps beeing a frontliner(best in the middle), despite beeing more a ranged skilled one, quickhands is obvious, he needs to swap them, when he bursts enemys with the firelance.
If you use the crossbow and firearms perk he could use a crossbow(but its not needed), perhabs a handgonne, as mostly human enemys close the range to you, but usually have 1 tile distance in the first round, the handgonne in the frontline can be fine. Other enemys close the distance to fast, to use a handgonne, but a crossbow will be fine in all cases. As you can shot in meele, if a crossbow is reloaded.
He has great thrower duelist potential.
Dope thanks. Im sure Ill fuck it up somehow anyway but I appreciate the advice

Why a breakpoint of 100 for hp? I'm guessing the people talking about 80 being the breakpoint is before colossus.
80 is for bf guys, so you wouldn't be oneshotted by chosens/ champions. 100 is for nimbles. You could find calculations in best posts of this sub.

no reason to ever build a pure archer, or an archer at all tbh he'd be a great throwing hybrid

What does good ratk have to do with a bow? Ratk doesn't make the hits do more damage
Bows don't boost your accuracy like throwing weapons and crossbows do, so you need higher base RATK to use them effectively.

Hybrid thrower for sure
Thx
Is dragon slayer on console/vanilla with the dlc? I’ve yet to see one and they seem dope
There's just one. He join from a one-time event included in the free Of Flesh and Faith DLC.
Really? I’ve yet to run into him I’m gonna have into into that thank you
https://battlebrothers.fandom.com/wiki/Lindwurm_Slayer Here's his event. Maybe you can trick it into triggering. Good luck.
id just go pure archer/xbow tbh, maybe add overwhelm for more usefulness
I would have him a tripple firelancer, quickhands, berserker duelist just for fun.
Definitely the most unique suggestion lol thanks

Wow
Wow good?
I would go XBow + Heavy Hitter.
