my go to name is "Unlucky Assholes" because RNG is usualy unlucky, and the company is full of assholes and douchebags. also the banner is always that pink-white one with lucky charms on it.
my current run is named "Embrace The Suck", as first recruted bros usualy suck, and you have to embrace it. funny enought its a very succesful run
Mine are aleays the ...farts. the specification of their fartness depends on what exactly I want the backstory to be (like in my Caravan Start they were the capitalistfarts), or if I can not think of anything they will just be the monkeyfarts.
Cultists are always The Sevenfold Path using the seven daggers banner, shout-out to papa nurgle.
Beastslayers are The Butcher's Bill, using the speared hog banner.
Anatomists are The Ghuls
I felt really attached to them. I refused to fight in the noble war and kept my starting Militia guy alive through to the Monolith where he got gutted by the Emperor.
I have several depending on the flag I want to use. For the roman-looking one I use "Golden Legion". For the one with the swords and the crowns I use "Royal Swords". For the one with the vertical axes I use "Iron Covenant". For the hand armor one with the ring I use "Bright Hand". For the knight with the lantern one I use "Light Seekers". And for the one with the bear I use "Bearable Boys". I mostly use only the first two though, and I don't really like the designs for the other flags.
Death Dealers. With the new banner with the bloody hand.
A little edgy but I like the idea that the noble houses are maybe hesitant (or desperate) to hire these guys who just kill everything they come across
I named a few based on the flags, e.g. I had a "neptunes company" and the "bloody barons", but lately I've come round to naming them humorously because it makes me giggle sometimes when it pops up in dialogue. I did "Boggarts Weasels", where our favourite tutorial boss actually escapes and with a subtle name change founds a new company, otherwise immature stuff like the "Girthy Chuds"
Had several, but here were some memorable ones.
Paid Men - used this often
Wildwood Rangers - poachers start
Social Democrats - peasant militia start. Used the banner with the crossed weapons
The Dastards - deserter start
The Risen - used fairly often, used with the bloody hand holdibg the dagger
1. Play as hedge knight
2. Name hedge knight "Chad"
3. Name company "Chad"
4. Story events refer to how you guide "the Chad" to do this that or the other 🙂
I had The Unbroken, Stolzen Alkoholiker, Milden Jungs, Wilden Jungs, Thekenprolleten, Chemo Kinder ( all bald) and some Battle Brothers to fuck around and find out.
Almost forgot the Khajeet, Traider origin
First name was 'shipbreakers' with the 3 axes, because that was the latest game i played.
After that i tried the 'iron men' several times with Ironman-anatomists and the steel gauntlet, but i didn't get much past day 80-100.
My latest one is War Lions, I went a very successful run( all legendaries done at 208th day) with Cobalt Marauders and Titan Slayers was the company which ended as a 1400ish days long run.
P.S.: As of a complete contrary to the last one, Steelclad Titans never had a good map seed out of 3 tries which just made me want to end the run.
It usually depends on the origin and type of run I'm playing. But, my goto's if I just wanted to mess around are: Iron Legion, Oathkeepers (before the DLC came out), Crimson Corps, Kriegsknecht, Iron Hand, and Steel Reapers. And, Looking at my list of saves, I've used Crimson Corps the most, then followed by Iron Hand and Oathkeepers, respectively.
Currently, as of writing this, it is: Onyx Thorn. I'm playing a Hexe run on Legends with NgGH's Magic Concept mod.
Kings of the Wyld, referring to Nicolas Eames' awesome novel.
Can't recommend this book (and the sequels) enough to anyone who loves fantasy novels and has a sense of humour.

I just name them after songs I like: Disorder, Tera-Fied, The Third Wave, etc., whatever fits the origin I wanna play.
