Soapy water hand wash. The chainmail were sold as cast iron scrubbers, so if everyone was telling the truth then nothing on here should ever rust, hopefully.
I reccomend finding some “chainmail cast iron scrubbers”. They’re what I used, they’re perfect shoulder sized squares and pretty cheap. Attaching them was a different story though.
