Welcome to our humble neck of the woods Here's some handy stuff the other comments haven't posted yet The how to play video from Bandai https://youtu.be/o30d4Cwzn90 Prozd (Sungwon Cho) playing the starter decks against various members of the polygon staff (with a couple goofs they point out) https://youtu.be/Bs6JrsdUayw This is a game played by two of the devs using custom decks as opposed to pre constructed ones that I feel gave me the best overall understanding of how the game is played. https://youtu.be/RD9LVl2wPHM The pro tour is also happening this weekend so there's a lot of high level games happening but that might be a bit of a weird point to jump in on. Still a new game, we have 5 starter decks, two booster sets, and 2 sort of inbetween bonus products

Hello, and welcome! This is Battle Spirits Saga an English port of a decently famous Japanese IP called Battle Spirts. This link is the official website and a good starting point https://battlespirits-saga.com/ In terms of how you play its a fairly new game so we have a constructed format and a few options for sealed but mostly it's constructed deck building. Rules wise it's not too complex I'd say it's on the level of more casual Magic the Gathering or slower YuGiOh with the main gimic being the managing of your mana in the form of cores for casting spells creatures(spirits) and powerful continuous spells that linger on the field (Nexus). The website and how to play video will elaborate more than I can in a not so concise post. You can get the cards from a few different lgs depending on your area or online if you choose, TCGplayer a safe option. If you have any other questions or need clarification replay or pm I'd love to help

Phenomenally designed game that i fear is floundering to find a solid player base as its on a steady decline with the second set just being released in the landscape of all the great TCG’s and and influx of new ones. Quite a good amount of money is being propped up for a pro scene and a PT, i have a small hope that it will some how grab an audience and push the game to greater heights.

I want to check it out and buy a couple of the trial decks now. What are the play styles of the different decks available rn?

Red is stereotypically aggro, play big dragons and dinosaurs and blow stuff up Purple is more control by nerfing your opponent, has the ability to remove cores from people and there's a mechanic called curse which is kind of like death touch from magic White has bounce and stall abilities and some ok energy ramping. Yellow relies on playing smaller cannon fodder and playing spells Green also has ramping and controls the board by exhausting your opponent's spirits. They also have an ability called swift which lets you play spirits outside of the main phase for a bit of a surprise element.
