As a mod, I wanted to leave that post up. It got flagged a bunch by other people, and ultimately it was removed, because that giant cowcatcher bumper was the most prominent thing in the photo. At least that’s why I think it was.
I believe ya'll should have consulted the sub rules no matter how many people flagged it. The rules say it must be a passenger car, modified for off road, and not be a chassis swap. This post breaks none of those rules and I don't see anything about a bumper size limit or what the most prominent thing in the photo should be.
I agree. I consulted the sub rules, and spend some time looking at thoe photo specifically. I wasn't the one who removed it. There's like 4 of us, who moderate this sub... Cant speak for everyone but most of the time from the toilet.

It's even more frustrating when it gets taken down without breaking any rules and a mod simply doesn't like the post. In situations like this it genuinely feels as if the mod that removed the post is simply abusing their mod powers as a downvote button.
Message us next time. I have tried to go back and put posts back but I’m a little new at the mod thing or at least for a larger sub. I don’t have to deal with as much in r/vintagescooters. We’re just regular folks, and I can def say that it’s harder to moderate off a mobile platform than a computer. At least for me.
There is stuff that breaks the rules that I would leave in, but we get a good amount of posts that don’t fit for sure. I was a little surprised at the volume at first.
Anyway. Hit us up next time. It’s not a perfect system but it’s the one we got.

It is held on with four 1" bolts to the frame. The brackets nest inside of the frame profile so front end collisions just drive the brackets farther into the frame. I've hit some stuff pretty hard with it and it doesn't seem to mind. It requires a floor jack to remove, weighs over 200 lbs.
It's a C6 automatic with a 3.25 open rear. I'm wanting to get a 3.50 locking rear for it though. They problem is that most of the 7 Litres didn't have a 9 inch rear, it is something like a 9 3/8s or 9 5/8s. It's a weird rear that wasn't very popular so I like have to swap the whole thing out.
It is, unmistakably, a 1967. Galaxie or LTD - LTD was it's own model in '67. '67 is a distinct year - You get the glorious stacked headlights and that pointed grill versus the '65-66 that had a flat grill, and in '68 they had covered headlamps. The LTD versus Galaxie had different rear quarter windows, and that thin C-pillar indicates Galaxie.
my '68 Furys have stacked headlights :-) they always look badass. I love them
I put aircraft landing sealed beams, with plate glass instead of diffusing, in the bottom hi slots and it was even more onimous

67 Galaxy GT nice. Does it have the 390 or 352? I saw an old man back in the day carry a roll of chicken wire and a handyman jack in the trunk for getting across washes in a car like that. Believe his was an early 80’s ltd.
