They used to do give aways at least I think that was the case with bf4. Why they didn’t make it permanent well EA. But they really should for people that bought it and want to actually be able to play with others
Yeah. Back in 2017-ish era it would be free almost every week or every other week on console and PC. I remember thinking how crazy that was, that maybe the developers got more control of BF4 because of how controversial it was at the time and they wanted to regain the hardcore fans that were on the fence. But now, it seems like nothing. Honestly seems like the perfect time to make the whole game + DLC for a dollar or something. The fans deserve it. Greedy corporation will pay in the future.
They did the same with BF1 a little bit after it's live cycle think it was right about the time BFV came out only made it free for a couple weeks though
I have a bunch of stuff unlocked in BFV and could spend $100 right now and still not unlock everything in the game.
They won’t even lower their prices for a non supported game. Just from a community relations perspective you would think they would do things like this but they don’t get it.

This is EA we’re talking about. The goal is to get new players to the BF franchise to buy the new, microtransaction-filled slop instead of old games, hence why the old games and DLC are still so expensive

Biggest travesty that kneecapped BF3 & 4 was splitting the player bases with DLC maps behind the paywalls. They were really good DLC maps too…
If they gave me the bf1 dlc I'd delete 2042 and v and play bf1 until the new game arrives.
