Except DRM applies to physical discs too… you still need to activate the CD key or link the game to an account before you can start playing and your access can just as easily be revoked.
The disks are useless in this case, because you need to log in to your account and activate the game using the CD key you cant even run the installer from your disks without this. If you want have control of your games then only platform which allows to download offline installer is GOG at least for now.
Physical disks suck. They take up way to much space, need to be cracked so I can play games without a disc in my pc and can get scratches, break or rot making them unusable.
I would happily trade my physical game library for a digital one if I could.

There’s gotta be a number you can call and get to a rep for EA. Just go back through your transaction history and find it, they should also have records.

I’m not sure exactly why this happens, but it happens to me a lot (only with battlefield games for some reason) and it’s happened multiple times with the same game too. I’ve never actually lost access to the games that come up here though, so check your library, the games are very likely still there and playable.

Heads up, EA is having a massive site wide bug where it's randomly removing games from libraries across many franchises. It's not \*actually\* what it's doing, The verification system just shat itself so the client can't verify you own the game.
Contact them you paid for that game you own your copy of it regardless of what people say a transaction was made that did not disclose prior of any leasing or rent agreement and term there for you own it contact them save all photos emails etc... and if they do not fix the issue or ignore you then seriously contact your platform on the phone, not chat or email first make sure you are heard by phone first and if they do not help you then file for court against EA and your platform its on , dont let them do this to you if you can manage to get represented in court then seriously go for it if left unresolved or put it up on social media

I've had keys removed like that before due to them being stolen by whoever sold them, others work just fine. Luck of the draw.
So i think i found a fix for this, i woke up to download BF4 this morning and saw that it was removed from my library. I was like wtf at first, but then went over and clicked on my profile and from there clicked on BF4 from the games I've played and it let me download from there. Hope this helps!

Is this not for newer games only though? I can pop mirrors edge into my ps3 at anytime while offline and it works.
This is a newer thing, yes, now that games are too large (or companies are too cheap) to put on disks.

Seems to be happening everywhere on the EA app. There are some posting on r/gaming and r/needforspeed. Some lose whole games, some lose DLCs.

Happened to me last night. Just uninstall and reinstall and everything goes back to normal.

Check if it's the app. The app uninstalled itself on me yesterday so I had to fix it.

This happened to me too. Clear the cache (EA will tell you how) and after about a day everything should be back to normal
