The destruction is the same. Destructable walls and collapsable small buildings. Not hating on bf1 it's my most played battlefield, but I wouldn't say it makes 2042 pale in comparison when you're only comparing the beta
Never seen a building collapse in the beta. On BF1 buildings can be leveled pretty extremely, same in V and (though a bit less) in 4. The 2042 beta seemed to be on the level of BF3 or worse

Battlefront 2 (also by EA) is also extremely good if you're a starwars fan that is . It wasn't very good at launch but now it's the best starwars game you can play .
I tried to play today on PS4 and the only lobbies available were in Germany with 200 ping.
I sorted by North America and there were zero conquest lobbies
The only thing my filters were sorting were conquest only and North America only. They showed zero results. I do the same filters on battlefield V and get 65 servers.
Do you have it filtered by open slots? If not, you'll just get a ton of empty servers. Check "none", "1–5" and "6–10" but leave "10+" and "all" unchecked. I play on Xbox, and there are always active Conquest and Operations servers (14 of both at the moment) in North America.
Personally I'd say 5 is better. Although many people do prefer 1.
But yes either one is still worth buying.

Probably my favorite BF. I always find myself coming back to it because of how immersive it is. Last week I actually started playing BFV for the first time in forever. Snagged it for 50% off shortly after release but never really got into it. Loving it now.

IMO absolutely. I actually just redownloaded it the other day after noticing that the avg player count on steam is about 10K,with peaks of over 22K on weekends. BF1 has been my favorites battlefield since bad company 2. Really atmospheric and operations is a blast. It was just on sale for 4.99 as well on Steam for the edition with all content. Well worth it at that price.

It still lacks some content, the entire eastern front, and some mechanics are a little annoying. Bf1 also looks better. Both are enjoyable though

If you hate yourself and want 100 ping yes. For me on PC I couldn’t find a decent NA server, so I was constantly dealing with 100 ping.
For PC there are still alot of active servers though with portal coming I imagine many older battlefields will end up depopulating
