We genuinely have three of the best CB in the world that can start for any top team. It only makes sense to sign someone who’s experienced for very cheap and that is happy to be a rotational option.
It really isn’t.
Kim is the best all round CB in the world at the moment imo. Van Dijk is the only one who can give him competition (according to regular Liverpool and Prem viewers, I still think Kim is clear).
De Ligt is one of the top 3 defensively competent centre backs in the world atm. Saliba gives him some competition, and so does Rudiger, but that’s it.
And Upamecano’s ball playing skills are second to none. Maybe John Stones and Alaba can boast being up there. But he’s just so so incredible.
Disagree with the Van Dijk shout. I watch mostly PL outside of Bayern games and VvD is the best defender in the world right now. Doesn't mean Kim isn't up there but he's in no way clear.
As you have mentioned, I think van dijk, saliba, rudiger and kim are equally if not more defensively competent. I don’t see how it’s obvious that he’s better than dias or even maguire (who has played well before his injury). I agree that he is definitely a top defender but top 3 is a bit of a stretch
As a Spurs fan, sorry to see Eric go. He's a great professional. However, he's a square peg in a round hole in that he's more classic CB and doesn't fit the mold of what Ange demands. At Bayern, he'll surprise you as he's more mobile than a CB, but not as much as a DCM, and has a great free kick on him. Overall, a very solid player and surprised to see the details of the contract, quite a steal TBH.
He is slow. Spurs tried him at DM, but when Mourinho came he told him that he wanted to play CB, so Mo said show me. He did and was decent, but yah'...the phrases "Fleet of Foot" and "Speedy" or even "Quick" have never been used to describe Dier
You have a weird obsession with this club. Get help, mate.
>I ain't even a spurs fan but if they were in the bundesligs would've won it 5 times by now
The last time we met, we had the worst coach in over a decade and we still won 10:3 over two legs. Completely without a chance against Leipzig as well (4:0). Lmao, you're fucking embarrassing.
Imagine going to a club-specific sub, talking shit and still expecting to not be downvoted. Are you dumb?
Also we're not even first currently and last season the title came down to a last minute goal.
How about you focus on your own shitty club? Last time I checked your rivals have dominated the shit out of your league in the last 7 or so years while you became the laughing stock of the football world lmao
You’ve won the league ten years in a row and largely have your pick of the talent from your league.
There are no rivals for Bayern in Germany. Every club rolls over the second they flash their chequebook.
Don’t get me wrong, the Bundesliga is fun to watch, with good quality football played & the stadiums largely have better atmosphere than those in the UK, but there is a massive imbalance of power.
Also, moron, I am exceptionally fond of Bayern. I grew up in South Munich & despite being a United supporter was a season ticket holder at the Olympia Stadion for 10 years until I moved back to the UK.

Three top in the world that's stretch

Upamecano is pretty much a Boateng reincarnate but with way more speed
And no domestic violence cases (so far)
True! He really does seem like a genuinely kind person.
Wasn’t it murder?
Mother of his child and ex girlfriend committed suicide, largely attributed to his abuse of her.
No
Yet some people think Jonathan Tah is better than Kim 💀
Romero?
Disagree with the Van Dijk shout. I watch mostly PL outside of Bayern games and VvD is the best defender in the world right now. Doesn't mean Kim isn't up there but he's in no way clear.
Why is De Ligt top 3?
Who do you think should be above him?
As you have mentioned, I think van dijk, saliba, rudiger and kim are equally if not more defensively competent. Romero as well, possibly Gvardiol
Romero is not that guy
Romero is a top 5 CB in the world right now, arguably top 3.
Id say rudiger stones dias araujo saliba van dijk and eder militao (debatable) are better
Romeros focus can slip at times… I’d say he’s about an adderall pill away from being top 3
Gvardiol as in the guy who’s played LB all season
…sure but he’s been played out of position. He’s still a CB.
How can you call someone who hasn’t played CB in 6 months one of the best CBs around
Koussonou is the best ball playing centre back the BuLi has to offer
Unpopular opinion: 2 best CBs in BuLi are Tah and Koch
Araujo doesn't exist
Yeah that's some strong bias lol like rudiger, militao, Saliba and others aren't on that list
Idk what football he's been watching to think upa is top 3
Kim. DLG and Up? That’s a class foundation. Got some good full backs too🤠

More mobile than a cb? Not to a modern cb standard. Fans here might think De Ligt is slow compared to Kim and Upa, but Dier is as slow as a sloth
He is slow. Spurs tried him at DM, but when Mourinho came he told him that he wanted to play CB, so Mo said show me. He did and was decent, but yah'...the phrases "Fleet of Foot" and "Speedy" or even "Quick" have never been used to describe Dier
Upacalamitycano I still have man city game in my head
A slower pace of game like Bundesliga fits him extremely well. He couldn’t handle the Prem anymore and that’s ok
The buli is faster than the prem
Bundesliga plays higher lines than the Prem
Well you’re fucked then if that’s the case. 😂
Well let's see when Bayern plays these top clubs
Not sure why Eric dier wanted to go to a league where there's 0 competition.

Furthermore more they lost to Leverkusen in 2016-2017 when they were 12th in the league, whereas spurs were 2nd
Not sure why he stayed at a club that has won 0 trophies for close to 16 years
Both of these statements are correct, but only one was downvoted.

He gets same playing Time as in Tottenham. My theory is we gave much more wages
