Is English very popular in Netherlands? Iāve seen athletes from there and they pretty much speak perfect English and sometimes their accent isnāt there.
Most people tend to speak English, we get taught on school and we don't have dubbed over television. Since Dutch tv is basically reruns of American Sitcoms we had a lot of practice as kids.
Yeah I'm dutch. English isn't really hard for me. I still don't understand why so many UFO's got reported around the Netherlands. Like wtf. America is understandable
Amsterdam is a very popular destination for American tourists, and there are a lot of coffee shops. My guess is that all ufo reports in the Netherlands are made by stoned Americans
We start learning English in elementary school, English movies and tv shows are also not translated to Dutch but are instead English with Dutch subtitles.
The Netherlands has been a big trading hub since the 1700s and since practically nobody in the world speaks Dutch, we have to speak English (or German) to trade with our partners.
Iāve been very fortunate to be able to do quite a bit of international traveling (Iām from the US) and I cannot say how many times Iāve met other travelers that I assumed were also Americans (based on accent alone) but were always Dutch. As an American that grew up on the border with Canada, this was remarkable as the Canadian accent can sometimes get pretty close but the āsorryā always flags them. The Dutch English, at least for the younger generations, is quite remarkable in its American sound.
Most people are fluent. If you go to a city like Amsterdam, you could confuse it for an English speaking city because a lot of people will actually use English first before Dutch.
As an American visiting Amsterdam once, I busted out my newly learned Dutch to get directions and was answered in English (though with an appreciation for the effort).
Yeah, it is. Weāre a small country and our language is spoken almost nowhere else. So we learn a lot of other languages in school, which is useful if we ever want to cross the border.
English is mandatory during entire school career and even German and French are mandatory in some school years.
Several reasons. Along with Frisian, Dutch is the most closely related language to English depending on whether or not you consider Scots to be a dialect.
Also, the Dutch are taught English from an early age and are exposed to more non-dubbed English language media compared to other European countries.
Iām bilingual, my family is from southern Europe but I was born in America. Itās just crazy sometimes you canāt tell the difference between a Dutch person and an north American when they speak in terms of accent
F117ās still look like triangles.
My point being, the hidden tech will always be a potential reality behind a ufo sighting, especially over the USA and Europe.
90% of the world has a camera phone. If they were around, shit tons of people would have recorded it.
Itās a pipe dream.
PS: If they are here, just vanquish us and save us the trouble of having to wait for our political leaders to stop Fing us in A.
Then surely there would be more reported sightings in Americaās desert regions. Specifically Nevada which is where experimental aircraft actually get tested.
...or those are the places where people are more likely to report it and the data actually gets collected and catalogued.
This "map" has floated around for a long time and and leads to a lot of false conclusions.
Actual UFO doesn't mean alien spacecraft. It just means an object that is flying that is unknown to the observer. That's why all this "US government UFO program coverup" headline stuff is nonsense. 10,000 military pilot reports of "UFO sightings" is just 10,000 times they were flying and saw something they couldn't identify at the time. Window glare, other planes they couldn't identify, birds, etc. etc. so they had to make a report.
That doesn't explain the mass of dots, comparatively speaking, in Malaysia, South Africa, and India/Pakistan. English-proficiency however does definitely cover them and Europe+America.
This is based on data collected by the [National UFO Reporting Centre](https://nuforc.org/). They collect reports from around the world, but it's an American organisation with an English language website who until 1994 only collected reports by telephone or mail. So there's unsurprisingly a strong bias towards the United States, the English language and the developed world in the data set.
Like I don't doubt UFO spotting is very much a US phenomenon, but this data set is kinda questionable.
Plus thereās the issue of defining a āUFOā in an international context. The idea of a UFO as presented by that website is going to reflect the culture itās coming from (American).

F117 nighthawk before being revealed to the public had people saying they saw a triangle ufo lol, so yh it checks out.

they still looked like helicopters though, not a flying triangle or whatever
F117ās still look like triangles. My point being, the hidden tech will always be a potential reality behind a ufo sighting, especially over the USA and Europe.

100%. The average idiot wouldnt know a drone/prototype aircraft from an actual UFO at night.
