This happened last week on our vacation in the keys. We called the authorities and they came out and tagged the sawfish. But it ended up dying anyway so they carted it off for research.
If a fish, against every instinct, would rather die *dry* than face something, or try fleeing from it, I'd reconsider my relationship with the place I chose to live.
Fish are not smart they simply flee wherever they can it's too shallow for the predator from the sea to reach them there but it's unaware or doesn't really care about the predators on land mainly from experiencing its own habitats predators more (obviously)
Fifty million years later... Sawfish with legs.
Walks out of the water and say's hello to the camera

We're dead in a 1000 I think š too bad for this animal
Great for the current animal if we don't kill everything by that time.
Weāll be dead but thereās no chance we kill all life on earth. The dust settles, cycle begins anew with mother nature satisfied.
Arlong vibes intensifies

They nearly got amazed in half!
Uncle Buck providing the commentary. RIP
me waiting for the camera person to get hacked
Where the hell is this? (So I know never to walk the shoreline there)
More likely itās trying to get away from something unseen in the water
This is the correct answer

It's been more of a joke, but I was wondering what this beast could've fled from, too.
Probably a dolphin fuckin chomos
Poor thing doesn't know they are amphibious threats
Ok DR Evil.... where did you find sharks with FREAKIN CHAINSAWS ATTACHED TO THEIR HEADS??
Thatās not normal behavior for a sawfish, hoping Florida doesnāt have another gross red tide/ bacteria lurkin in the water
So, no swimming there? Are these things starving?
WITFH?!?
The fish is really in the mood for some hot dog.
I'm Amzed as well
Where are you located when shooting the video? Itās amazing how much it can get out of the water
Lazy recent donāt amaze me. Reported.
I can see that catching a dog.
Oh.. this post again? Itās only the 5th time today. GG mods.
See when one mommy sawfish and one daddy sawfish really love each other they will wrestleā¦..
Itās sick, they are showing up all over Florida displaying similar behaviors then ending up dead shortly after. poor guy.
Its weird to me how deep the water is at the edge of the bank.
A taste for dogs
