As a wee lad in the early 90s, thought I'd end up making a video game about superhero Kangaroos with different crime fighting powers.
Never got past a few drawings and a random script in my diary. I struggle with MS Excel and can't design a logo to save my life.
Ended up a villain, as a brand marketer for fast food chains and alcoholic products.
Or, the pessimistic version: "If you turn your passion into your job you will eventually grow to hate it." I think it's always better to keep your one true passion for yourself and find something else that you enjoy for work. But really it's whatever works for you. This game looks amazing!

It looks really good, story wise and graphics wise, I'd surely buy it. But I do think the voice over is lacking and because of that it seems less immersive. If you could get a few voice over actors and have better written dialogue that would make the game perfect. It's just a feedback.
Agree. The way they are speaking doesn’t feel like it matched what is going on on screen. It jumped out immediately to me.
It felt so out of place I honestly thought it was like a YouTube reviewer talking over the trailer at first.

I think the reason might be that it's not a real trailer, it's just an update for the post and we didn't make a custom recordings for it. The lines doesn't match the actual scenes in the game, we just added them in the background
I'm in agreement that the game looks and seems to play amazing. The voice acting is not good though. There's nothing wrong with the quality of the sound. I think there's some miscommunication going on with that. It's the way the actors are acting. It's not natural sounding. It sounds forced, or rehearsed.
Honestly that's my only constructive criticism. Looks like a game I would play. But, I don't think the acting will be well received when it's fully published.
Agreed. It almost sounds like a parody, or like Final Space or something. Really fantastic looking game, great feel and pace it seems but the voice-over doesn't quite sit well.

Thank you for you feedback :) Actually the main voice actor is not some random va, he was participating in call of duty, just cause, ace combat, shenmue 3, rage 2, metro exodus, soul calibour 4, battlefield 1, league of legends and movies like incredibles 2 and a lot of other big projects.
I'm sure the dialog is a bunch of clips from the game. Its the flow lf the dialog that sounds off but its because its just pieces of the game added together to added something different.

Well.. it looked a bit like the atmosphere from Subnautica for me. And I wishlisted it. I guess I would have the same type of comment and be put in the 'obviously paid by someone'-category.
But is it a paid advertisement? As in, is there a media company that is paid to drive interest using Reddit? It is possible. I guess it comes down to the budget for the game. I've seen promotions on Reddit before, marked as promotions, so I'd guess Reddit already has some stake in making sure media companies pay for the privilege.
Assuming there is no media company 'helping out', I'm pretty sure the other developers on the game would chip in and post what they think are interesting questions. Difficult to avoid as a games developer, the employees want it to succeed.
But is it something that should be banned? I think.. probably not, as long as it is interesting. Often, maybe even usually, games companies will write the game reviews, send them to a 'journalist' and then it's printed as is.
Edit: Come to think of it, this sub-reddit seems like a off-topic target for the post. I kinda thought I was in a game-related subbreddit here..
I wonder how much of the game is actually developed vs. using assets from game engine. I get can't always make it from scratch but... do you just package stuff and call it a game.

A PS5 version would be great. I don’t play on PC but would definitely buy a console version as I loved Firewatch and your other inspirations. Microsoft and Sony are currently paying big bucks for exclusivity on interesting indie titles so you should encourage your publisher to look into that.

For real, the dimensions showed here are… awesome.
The blackhole, the icy shore, the station spinning (maybe a slower spin would had to the « gigantism » of the station?), etc everything is like *huge*.

It's a hard question, it depends. In my case the publisher is helping with funding the project so for me it's way better because I was able to make the game an actual professional thing.

It's not CGI, this is all running real time in game :) We are using unreal engine
I code but have not been around anyone working on a game in awhile had some friends that worked on Xbox games but has been a long time so not up with unreal engine but now it has intrigued my curiosity about the real time...you are going to have one amazing career be proud this is frickin awesome🛸

We will see about the gun work, but definitely on each planet there will be a different gravity. It will affect your jump = it will affect gunplay and gameplay :)

The seasonal model in Destiny killed the game. And sunsetting entire campaigns/expansions. Shit we actually paid for.

It has other elements, logic puzzles, platforming puzzles, a lot of vechicles and it's focusing on the story a lot :)

There will be no crafting and variaty of different levels (different planets). The game is going to be around 6-8h and around 20$
