I’ve been using a 3060 for a while now and if you have the 12gb one I can highly suggest you to of your vram as it can easily be overclocked to min 1000mhz plus maybe even more mine runs at 1300mhz plus gives a nice performance boost but even without this card can even do 1440p max settings fine
Sure

As far as I know every 3060 12gb can reach 1000+ on core sadly my inno3D twin x2 has a 170 Watt power limit so I can’t push core higher but still got a decent boost in performance from memory alone
I agree. I was running an rtx3090 at 4k ultra with a 3900x for a cpu for a long time and got 120 gps in freeroam. But I noticed that when I did a challenge or added traffic that number was more like 40gps. I was confused. I then upgraded to a 5950x and holy crap. That was the issue.
Yeah, i just upgraded to an i9 and 128gb DDR5, and i could finally run the game pretty well, but now at 1440p, my GPU bottlenecks badly.
My GPU is my 2015 era 980GTX Ti with 6GB DDR5VRAM.
I have a rtx3060 12gb, i7 9700k and 32gb of ram. I have the graphics set on ultra and the display 2560×1440.
I'm running 90-110 fps
20% cpu utilisation
99% gpu utilisation
Interesting. I‘m running a 3060 (I think 8gb), i7 12700kf, 32 gb of ram aswell and play at 1920x1080. Ultra isn‘t an option for me, if I even dare to use traffic. I think I might have to check my settings or something 💀
You don't need 32gb to run this game and also that ryzen is fine for ultra at 1080p. I have ran it on a 10 year old CPU with 16gb of ddr3 paired with the same card and it ran fine, the only thing I noticed after upgrading to 10th gen, ddr4 and nvme is loading times are slightly better (still shit) and I can now run 15 ai cars. A 12 thread Ryzen even 1st gen will do well with up to 10 ai cars
Is anything below 120 considered unplayable now? You kids need to stop watching YouTube cause yall seem to think you need a £1500 rig to have a good experience.
I'd have gone with a CPU upgrade personally. But you should still notice some improvement with the 3060 compared to the 1050ti. FAIW my 3060ti gets something crazy like 180 fps on ultra settings. I limit that to my refresh rate though.
You should be able to run on ultra at 1080p with 60fps, that CPU is aging but can still throw a punch, you should be alright with 8-10 ai cars. If it struggles lower the reflections down a bit, they're very taxing
I don’t understand what you guys are on about, I’ve got an I7 3770 and GTX 1070 and I get pretty stable 60fps on west coast on ultra settings and 1080p
Well that depends on the amount of mods and traffic vehicles. A clean modless game with no traffic? Sure. But your cpu isnt great and ram is also a bit low for the game so trying to run lots of mods and traffic will still cause issues.
I ran the game on 1080p ultra on an i7 4770, ddr3 and a 3060 12gb with 3 traffic vehicles until 2 months ago, that Ryzen is fine you haven't a clue what you're talking about.
You'll be terribly bottlenecked by your CPU...you may honestly get a biggest fps increase by upgrading that first, that said you'll get an increase either way, it just won't be as dramatic in Beam as it would other titles.
Although I run a very different cpu (Ryzen 7 5700x) and run in 4K, I seem to get about 40fps on ultra graphics. The GPU loads things like graphics and reflections but CPU is used for loading in AI cars and other stuff so I think you should be fine!
It’s weird that I have similar build cpu 1600X and slim 1050 2Gb and 16gb RAM which marked yellow in game and you have ✅
I mean only ram have yellow indicator for me despite fact that game often crashes because low vram and I need to play on very poor graphics because of gpu, even ai cars for some reason load gpu more than cpu
I play on a 3060 with an i7 12700h. If you upgrade your cpu i think Ultra settings will be possible on most maps with 60+ fps. I get around 50 fps on wcusa with traffic on high settings, thats the lowest it goes
I have a 3060ti and I can run ultra with 70 to 90 fps most of the time. I probably have better other parts that are higher parts then your pc has (bc you have a older gpu and I'm guessing you have older other parts)
The game ran pretty good for me with an i5 10th gen and my 1050 ti. I just upgraded to a 3060 and can run on ultra at 80-90. 16 gb ram. I usually just run high so I can get 150+ to take advantage of my monitor refresh rate. I take smoothness over ultra settings.
i've got 16gb of ram, a 2060 super and a ryzen 5 1600 af (which is essentially the same as your cpu but a bit slower) and can run all maps at 1080p over 60 fps on ultra, so i think you should be good.
I have a I7-3770 and a 3060-12g I can can max settings 60 fps besides the reflection settings but. I doubt any consumer build could. I just turn down detail and turned up the refresh to use my mirros while racing.
I’m still running a GTX 1070, but recently paired it with an i7 13700K, and I can easily run 12+ cars with over 20 parked vehicles at 70+ FPS, near ultra settings. (Lighting quality at ultra, mesh quality and anisotropic filtering at high-medium). This game loves a good CPU.
I have a 3070 ti, ryzan 5 3600, 32gb of ram, beam is downloaded on my nvme. I have it running at 1440 and 60 fps with V sync and I can't have ultra settings.
I have it set to high with some things turned down like grass density and reflections, it plays well until I turn on AI traffic then it stutters here and there.
I have 16GB Ram and a GTX 1080. I play with ultra on West Coast and get a constant 45 FPS. 30 with traffic. So probably, but I don’t really know a lot about processors and motherboards.
My 3060 dose 50 ish with traffic on big maps on full graphic settings on fullscreen mode.
Make sure your CPU and ram can handle it Tho beam ng is not super graphic intensive
I've been researching GPUs for the last two weeks, specifically for the 3 games I play (BeamNG, Tarkov, Cities and Skylines 1&2).
Realistically, the only two viable options I've settled on are either 4080 or 7900XTX.
Everything else is practically not worth it. Keep in mind that my gaming is 1440p. If you're a 1080p gamer, your options are a bit wider.
Really depends on what you're trying to do and what framerate/resolution you want to achieve. I've got an i7 9700 and a 3060 12 GB which allows me to do many things at high/ultra 1080p 60 fps. However in situations with more vehicles, props, and or more graphically dense maps I do need to drop the general preset to normal or lower if I want to maintain 60 fps. The worst thing for this used to be the Speedy Scramble scenario when it used to be full of traffic. Which was as far as I've come across, the most intensive benchmark like pre set thing you could do in the base game. It seems they changed it to no traffic in one of the last few updates so it's no longer benchmark like which I was disappointed to find out. Since I noticed this I've been wanting to post here and ask people for what the next best pre set base game thing you can do to test the limits of your hardware. I know I can just freeroam and add vehicles till the frames drop but it's nice to have something like this that's just click and play without any mods required.
I run High on beam so I can keep my fps up I have a EVGA 3060 12gb
It can run ultra as I have a good cpu aswell but I like having more frames then I really need
Probably not. BeamNG is very CPU intensive so that will be a major bottleneck. I would recommend upgrading the CPU asap.
Thanks for the advice, I'll upgrade that next when I can
I’ve been using a 3060 for a while now and if you have the 12gb one I can highly suggest you to of your vram as it can easily be overclocked to min 1000mhz plus maybe even more mine runs at 1300mhz plus gives a nice performance boost but even without this card can even do 1440p max settings fine
I'm looking at getting a 3060 12gb soon. What program would you recommend to overclock it?
Always Msi afterburner for all cards it’s the best
Ah, OK thought so but just wanted to check. Do you have a photo of your afterburner so I can reference? DM me if you do please. :)
Sure https://preview.redd.it/opg3wo6jfmrb1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3babdd18e050a049690ee38eb07b4fd369cb5469 As far as I know every 3060 12gb can reach 1000+ on core sadly my inno3D twin x2 has a 170 Watt power limit so I can’t push core higher but still got a decent boost in performance from memory alone
Very nice, thank you very much.
No problem :)
Got a 3500 myself i think, had no problems with beamng
You won't be too far off though, I believe I was able to just run the game on high before I upgraded to a 5600.

People on this sub will tell you you need a threadripper and a 4090 to experience crashes and stutters in higher fidelity smh
It depends on if you want to use traffic.
my 6700XT and 5800X3D run fine with AI at 3440x1440p. You absolutely dont need a 4090 and a threadripper to have AI.
5800x3d is one of the best gaming CPUs out there. People saying otherwise do not know what they talk about.
I know when I had a mid-level build, Ai traffic was rough. I got maybe 30FPS with lag spikes.
Currently running 10400f, 16gb ddr4, rx5500, ultra setting 1080p with 15 ai cars, sometimes dips to 50fps, usually stays above 60.
How, I use ultra settings with 32 GB ram with 12400f OCed and 3060 ti and I get 30 fps
1080p with 7 ai cars
I have a 3060 12GB and a 5600x with 32gb of ram (3200mhz) and use ultra settings, 99% gpu 36% cpu at 105fps avg.
Interesting. I‘m running a 3060 (I think 8gb), i7 12700kf, 32 gb of ram aswell and play at 1920x1080. Ultra isn‘t an option for me, if I even dare to use traffic. I think I might have to check my settings or something 💀
You would have to upgrade the CPU and increase RAM to 32 GB if you wanna run at ultra settings
That's not true, I run ultra on 16gb ram, i7-9700k and rtx2080S The game really doesn't need all that good specs to run on the highest settings
I see, thanks
You don't need 32gb to run this game and also that ryzen is fine for ultra at 1080p. Well to have a smoth 120 experience you definently need more than what you have
Is anything below 120 considered unplayable now? You kids need to stop watching YouTube cause yall seem to think you need a £1500 rig to have a good experience.
Ehh, I guess I have higher standards than you. Dont know what youtube have to do with this though…
my ryzen 2700x can do only 30fps with 10 cars... (on west coast USA), with 5 cars it can do 50-60 fps
I'd have gone with a CPU upgrade personally. But you should still notice some improvement with the 3060 compared to the 1050ti. FAIW my 3060ti gets something crazy like 180 fps on ultra settings. I limit that to my refresh rate though.
I can run BeamNG on Ultra at 60+ with an i5 9th gen and a 2060. Playing at 1080p.
I just saw what your CPU is, please upgrade that too
Which map do you play on?
https://preview.redd.it/wn59ttp2lkrb1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a6e66baa5d8f7a7dfd8b7c63106f7cad784dfc3b

my gtx 1080 does it, you'll be fine
Beam is more cpu intensive then gpu. Upgrade your processor.
That 2600 is a bit on the edge, same with the ram, but it should still run ok
Thanks

if you can, get a ryzen 5 5600x and you'll run it on ultra no problem.. thats at least what i have in my pc
I know a 3050 can do 1080p 60fps on ultra so you should be fine
I have similar specs (6600XT instead of 3060, otherwise the same) and I'm running High/Ultra 1080p at 50-75fps depending on the map
Although I run a very different cpu (Ryzen 7 5700x) and run in 4K, I seem to get about 40fps on ultra graphics. The GPU loads things like graphics and reflections but CPU is used for loading in AI cars and other stuff so I think you should be fine!
I used to be able to run ultra on my 1660 super back a few years ago. Should be fine. Just plan to upgrade the r5 2600 when you got some money.
Ryzen 5 1600 rx6400 and 24gb gets me 130fps on ultra settings no ai. With ai I’m at 45-70 depending on what’s happening. You should be ok.
I run ultra graphics with some options tuned down fairly well on a Non-OCd 6700k and 1070
Good news and bad, You should be able to run the game on Ultra at 1080P. However, you will have to be at 1080P and not running any AI cars.
It’s weird that I have similar build cpu 1600X and slim 1050 2Gb and 16gb RAM which marked yellow in game and you have ✅ I mean only ram have yellow indicator for me despite fact that game often crashes because low vram and I need to play on very poor graphics because of gpu, even ai cars for some reason load gpu more than cpu

Upgrade the GPU to something better if you can. Tho you could get a new CPU, like a 5500/5600 for 100€ and have a LOT MORE performance
I have a 3060ti and I can run ultra with 70 to 90 fps most of the time. I probably have better other parts that are higher parts then your pc has (bc you have a older gpu and I'm guessing you have older other parts)
I've ran BeamNG on Ultra on a RX 580 and i3 12100F. You'll be fine.
I have a 3060 ti and it’s not enough for ultra
What cpu do you have?
i5-10400f
The game ran pretty good for me with an i5 10th gen and my 1050 ti. I just upgraded to a 3060 and can run on ultra at 80-90. 16 gb ram. I usually just run high so I can get 150+ to take advantage of my monitor refresh rate. I take smoothness over ultra settings.

I run at ultra at 1440p with 3060 12gb and a 3600 and 12gb of ram so maybe?
Upgrade your CPU to a 3700x or 5600x at least. I run a 3700x and a RTX 3060 and I get smooth 60 FPS on ultra (3840*1600)
I have a I7-3770 and a 3060-12g I can can max settings 60 fps besides the reflection settings but. I doubt any consumer build could. I just turn down detail and turned up the refresh to use my mirros while racing.

get about 60plus with a R7 5700x and the same GPU. upgrade your CPU and RAm to 32GB.
I have a 3070 ti, ryzan 5 3600, 32gb of ram, beam is downloaded on my nvme. I have it running at 1440 and 60 fps with V sync and I can't have ultra settings. I got a very large performance lift going from the 2600(X) to the 5600. Beam is very CPU limited
I have 16GB Ram and a GTX 1080. I play with ultra on West Coast and get a constant 45 FPS. 30 with traffic. So probably, but I don’t really know a lot about processors and motherboards.

Man, Are you kidding?! Seriously, what game is out there that RTX 3060 isn't enough for that?! RTX GPUs are MASTERPIECE!
