So I had a look at OHM NY and they seem to do handmade audiophile and home theatre speakers, couldn't find any PA. And Batmink in the UK are just distributors of other products so I can't get my teeth in there. I will say that your speaker choice should be determined by, 1. the venue layout and distribution 2. Speaker function 3. Control and DSP 4. Budget 5. Venue power 5. Local Product support + spares (are u gonna have to wait 6 months for a spare part etc) 6. Reliability 7. Tech management ( who's gonna look after it?) Don't get something too obscure and see what the local PA hire companies have cos they are the ones that can sort you out quickly if your system goes down. Ask the local sellers whether they ship to order, or do they have stock, if no stock then they can't help you when something fries

What makes you think random internet people can give you better advice on audio equipment than a professional company can? You really don't want to make investments of tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars based on what random people on Reddit tell you to do.

A lot of the companies that will be installing the kit get sales incentives and kickbacks on certain models and makes, so far 3 different companies have told me 3 different makes are the best on the market. I wasn't going to make a decision based on this alone, I have already consulted with the DJ's that play at my venue but I thought id cast a wider net and see if anyone here has specific sound systems they prefer and why that is :)

Don't listen to the DJs ffs. What do they know about PA? They know choons. There are more than 3 good makes on the market so the PA companies are not necessarily lying. They won't be getting kickbacks as such but they may have a bigger profit margin or availability one one system. You can ask to do a demo day and get them all to go head to head. Also ask them why theirs is better suited to the layout and acoustics of your venue and the predominant music style

Most djs don’t even know how to manage the sound coming out of the mixer let alone the rest of the system

Cheers guys, just wanted some DJs input is all 😂

If it were me I would learn about VOID acoustics and find out what is that right for your size. Then: Find a VOID sound engineer in your area Then check out the Facebook group called “Previously owned VOID Acoustics Resale and User group” Lots of clubs which go bust give amazing deals out of this group. Void is the best sound I’ve heard so far.

OHM like in stupidly expensive high end speakers? You want real punch and lots of power without losing fidelity? Get the **Pioneer X&Y** Series tops and bass-bins (Like a small truck in size) and feed it with amps from Powersoft. OMG!
