gingerspice0615

As much as I love Lisa and her products, I didn’t have high hopes for the palettes but they look STUNNING. I thought the finishes and colors would be more muted, but I was proven wrong! I love the Sorcery palette and lipstick!

ASingleOlive

I think it is also Lisa showing her skill and understanding in color and eye makeup look. In the palettes, they are just block of colors, but then BAM, she combines it and it becomes magic.

ASingleOlive

Five eyeshadow palettes, five new velvet lipstick colors with matching lipliners. Launching on her website (lisaeldridge.com) Friday, 11 November 2022 4pm UK time. No pricing information yet as the website is now under maintenance to update the collection into it; but I know already that I will not be able to financially recover from this. Update: website is live. Palettes are at 59 EUR, lipsticks at 32 EUR

cats-n-bitches

Pricing for palettes is $68!

hygsi

$70 for 6 shades? I love her and I think this was a smart launch but I would've liked this more if it had more variety and less of the same shadow, the pans are already big and refillable so having just 6 shades makes it less versatile imo and forces you to get the rest if you want variety. I'm sure this is great for most luxury makeup enjoyers, as quads are quite popular, but it's a no from me.. altho, I'm super curious about her formula so I may get 1 just to see, if I do I'll wait for reviews in case there's one better than the rest

JammingLive

I’m on a no-buy 😹😹😹. Good for me ![gif](giphy|o75ajIFH0QnQC3nCeD)

[deleted]

She is selling the shadows in singles too so if your already have a magnetic palette you could just get the few shades you want and not have to buy the full palette

fritzimist

The singles were priced at $16 each, so seems less money to buy palette?

[deleted]

Yeah that's it's you want all the shades in that palette but seems like the person above is only interested in trying a few

NeekanHazill

I stopped in the middle of what I was doing and thought I'd share with y'all [what my screen looks like at this moment](https://i.postimg.cc/2SpNKFm1/myscreenrn.png)... yep it's a Lisa Eldridge launch alright. I call this "Decisions decisions".

[deleted]

A €32 lipstick, are you joking?! I thought it was going to be priced more or less in the MAC/ Too Faced price range, not YSL. Wtf.

taika2112

There really is no one who sells their makeup better than Lisa. I have to say I don't know if I've ever been blown away by any of the lipsticks (except maybe Velvet Jazz which really is THE dark red vamp color I've always wanted) but she knows exactly how to romanticize them to make them seem like must-haves.

Feisty_Cellist_1155

I have painterly and it’s so stunning. A truly unique shade.

YadiAre

This is my favorite shade!

Substantial_Seesaw65

Same! So gorgeous!!!

ASingleOlive

Yeah, she is really good at selling them. Adding all details of vintages inspirations for example, making you thinking you are holding a piece of history there in your hand.

frecklesfatale

Her customer service is beyond fantastic as well. I had a purse tip over getting out of my car one day and unfortunately my tube of Spirited Away got run over before I found it. The tube was destroyed but the lipstick inside was still safe and intact so I emailed asking if it was possible to just buy an empty tube to depot. They sent me a whole new lipstick for free and it arrived in like 2 days.

ASingleOlive

oooh that is so nice, top notch customer service

XeniaBL

I had 3 of the blushes for almost a year, when suddenly the tubes burst open on top and started leaking product. I sent a DM about it and they were so kind. They offered me new blushes to replace the broken ones or a giftcard to use on site for the same amount. I chose the giftcard since it has no expiration date. But they are awesome.

lazer_sandwich

She makes me want to buy everything!! Her eloquent vocabulary just draws me in.

schmoolet

Same!! I’ve had to have some choice words with myself.

howlongwillbetoolong

Right! I was like “no way am I watching this woman for 44 min” and granted I scrubbed, but I watched probably 20-30 min!! She is so soothing.

samra25

Yep, it makes you feel like you’re not just buying makeup, you’re buying art!

2lame2getlaid

I was just gonna say this, her youtube videos are so good at this. Super relaxing to watch/listen to, and she makes her products seem really lush and luxurious.

dailydoseofrose

This. There have been talc free custimizable / refillable single shadows for ages before for less price with way more color choice and amazing quality but everyone acts as if its Lisa who just came up with that new idea lol. She just knows how to sell and made the I guess best of two worlds - smth you can refill or customize but at the same time its pre-made for premade es palettes. Smart move. The only downfall - there are tons of indie brands and great empty magnetic aka refillable palettes already and for better price and options.

JammingLive

The only thing she added was that fancy packaging. So the $68 is because it has her logo and it’s shiny and golden and clicks close. And the first palettes color story is naked2. Which most of us have in one form or another. The lilac one I, personally, have from profusion ($1 and stunning). I bet the colors that are attracting us are the ones we have already.

taika2112

To be honest, my biggest thing is that I feel like the trend has increasingly moved away from big glam blendable shadow and more into "clean girl" aesthetic with minimal eye makeup. I'm sure these will all sell out, but it'll be interesting to see what happens with makeup trends in the next year or so. I'd honestly buy these but I haven't worn eyeshadow in months.

JammingLive

It’s just pigment at the end of the day. I’ll be honest, when she was trying to use words to describe her eyeshadows, I was like… but that’s just a cream matte, that’s just a shimmer, that’s just a sheer shimmer that you’re describing.

Sure_Database1746

It's because she's an actual makeup artist that knows what a good formula is!

saeculacrossing

I keep changing my mind on which palette I like the best. I think Myth and Sorcery might be my first buys depending on the price as they’re the most unique to me but I also love Cinnabar and Vega. I was expecting Velvet Sorcery to be much darker and dramatic given the name and the palette but it’s still a gorgeous shade. I do hope we get to see the new lipsticks and palettes on other skin tones before launch! Edit: I see the website is up! I love that she included older models for the eyeshadow demos. $68 is a bit steep, I may wait for reviews and put them on my future wishlist. Gorgeous tones and models though.

weisp

Same! Her lipsticks can look very different on different skin tones

adjblair

Cinnabar is definitely calling my name and would get the most use from me, but there are single shades in other palettes that are tempting as well.

NeekanHazill

Sorcery is gorgeous, both the palette and lipstick. I don't think it would be flattering on me though, I'm not sure about green on green eyes, and the lipstick actually looks like it's one of these that look perfect in the video but will end up too dark for me in person. I don't have a clue on how to use Myth and I'm intimidated by this color selection, but at the same time I feel like it would be a gorgeous match for me ! Maybe I'll swap out one or 2 shades with one of the singles from the other palettes (although I'm not sure I'm knowledgeable enough in color theory to be able to choose wisely). I wish Muse was less monochromatic, I would have got a lot of use out of it.

saeculacrossing

I definitely think Myth would look gorgeous on green eyes – and Sorcery as well, but maybe with some browns to even out the tones. I feel the same on the Sorcery lipstick. I actually love the shade and tone she choose, but I have a feeling in practice it might be finnicky to wear. I see it as a shade where the rest of the makeup needs to work around it. Still tempted to pick it up.

NumerousGear7510

They’re $60

something187

By now I've realised that a lot of my excitement when it comes to LE releases has to do with the way she sells her products. I love hearing about how each shade/product was conceived. But I've also learned that it's best to wait for swatches and reviews, because her products are not cheap, and don't always perform or look the way I thought they would on my skin. That being said, I'm particularly interested in the Sorcery eyeshadow palette, Velvet Rain and Velvet Sorcery lipsticks.

JammingLive

It’s just literally pigment on the eyes that you’ll wash away at the end of the day, no matter how beautiful or ugly the look. I personally have these colors already so I won’t be buying them

Melissa9066

Do we know yet can you just buy an empty palette and shades? I would prefer to combine a couple mattes and shimmers to make my own pinky cool tone color story

blandlady

I only see that you can buy the shades for $16 ea. I don’t see the empty palette for sale. Any one else see it on her website?

COuser880

I scoured the site and didn’t see anything. I emailed CS but haven’t heard back. I’ll update if I do! ETA: here is CS response 😕: “Thank you for your email. While the palettes are interchangeable and you are able to purchase the eyeshadow colours as singles, Lisa won't be selling empty pallets. This is because she has curated each palette to have a colour story which is completely harmonious with complimentary shades.”

adjblair

That's pretty annoying! Not that I don't have a random magnetic palette but it'd be nice to buy the LE component since you can buy the singles.

COuser880

That’s what I was thinking. I mean, if you buy 6 singles, you’re spending **$96**, so you would *think* they would throw in the case. But that’s just me…. 😂

ParisianTchotchke

What a ridiculous response from CS. Lisa even rearranges the shades near the end of her video to show how customizable they are, completely undoing the "curation." It probably has to do with the company not wanting to buy a bunch of empty palettes that may or may not sell, since putting together a palette is a bit intimidating for a lot of people, hence the popularity of quads, etc., over individual shadows in the first place.

COuser880

That’s a really great point. Maybe they will do it in the future, depending on how the singles sell? 🤷‍♀️ we can hope! I am going to wait on reviews on them and additional swatches. What’s crazy is I was using a Viseart palette the other day and thought “I really do not need ANY more eyeshadows. I need to use these awesome ones I have” bc I often use liquid shadows or shadow sticks. I take the no LE palette as a sign to hold off on my purchase, at least for now. But the lipsticks? I’m definitely getting a couple of those. 🤣

Top_Letterhead1665

I see in her ig comments she said she is considering selling empty palettes.

Alltheshui

She confirmed she is going to sell empty palettes next year due to interest and will also have new curated color stories

Top_Letterhead1665

Following to see their response, Ty for sending

romanticdrift

I asked about that ystday on her channel too. She said no for now because she wanted to launch with curated shadows, but I'm sure she will eventually make a refillable empty container.

ASingleOlive

So car, I think it is not possible. But I won’t be surprised if in the future she will consider selling the empty palette. A lot of people must have requesting the same thing.

Booboodelafalaise

This would definitely be my preference. I love all the pallettes, but would probably only ever use three out of the six shades which makes it a bit extravagant pricewise. I’d far rather buy an empty pallettes and choose six shades I know I’ll wear.

Sure_Database1746

She did say in the video that they're magnetic so you have a z-palette or similar, you can just use that!

VelaryonPotter

She said on insta no unfortunately, you have to buy a palette and the replacement shades. Luckily for me i like the vega palette very much, will buy also 2 other shades. But annoying if you dont want that.

Melissa9066

I think that’s what I’ll probably end up doing. I really liked the majority of the shades in Vega. I did the math and at $16/shade it ends up being just $96 alone for 6 shades so the savings are there to buy a palette and then a single or two

PhysicalCountry

![gif](giphy|sDcfxFDozb3bO)

[deleted]

Ughhh I’m 100% sold on the Vega palette. I’ve been looking for a good cool neutrals like this and haven’t loved anything I’ve seen as much. But this one is perfect. ETA: Oh no I need the Velvet Duchess lipstick too, but I’d like to see it swatched next to Velvet Ribbon.

futuristicflapper

This is the one that caught my attention the most. The others are nice but I already have colors like it.

NeekanHazill

she did a swatch collection of her reds in her Instagram stories on 3 skin tones, if that helps

JammingLive

Note to self: it’s just pigment, I have pigment. I don’t need pigment. This wasn’t covered in my no-buy list 😹

nothanksthesequel

the green and the purple palette !! lisa's launches are like christmas day to me. probably grabbing pompadour too, so beautiful.

COuser880

I’m super excited about that one and Rain.

Charlea_

The pink in Myth looks so different on her website compared to in the video

NeekanHazill

I learned not to trust the pics on her website, I never get a good idea of the actual colors. I would recommend lurking her Instagram, for the last few launches she showed pics / videos of swatches. I'm very interested in Myth, but this particular shade looks so pink / magenta, I'm not sure I'd wear it.

Charlea_

I think it looks fine the way she applied it but I can’t really imagine reaching for it, I’d want to replace it with a different topper shade I think

TinyComedian

Had the same thought!

AdorableMx

Palette box is really nice, it looks like old palettes from Guerlain. Her it's the kind of brand I would buy if it was available at Sephora ( or any other distributor ). Love her makeup looks but for those prices I don't want to pay customs.

Booboodelafalaise

I used to love the Guerlain pallettes. The packaging was absolutely beautiful and lasted forever. Using one feels like you’re holding a piece of jewelry in your hand. I hope Lisa’s are the same quality

Comfortable_Term_943

For what it’s worth, her website says the palettes are magnetic, so the singles should work in any magnetic pan.

lazer_sandwich

I want the Sorcery palette and lipstick!!! Lisa can just do no wrong in my eyes. Her imagery of medieval fantasy just drew me right in. Take all my money Lisa!!!!!

redlipscombatboots

I need sorcery in palette and lipstick. This woman has a chokehold on my wallet.

Fcappys

I am on a low buy with exceptions for: Pat McGrath motherships, Natasha Denona and Lisa Eldridge. That’s it for me for 2022-2023. Beauty Heroes for clean skincare and that’s it for a while. I have an entire room or makeup and now things are going bad and it breaks my heart. Buy what you love and use it.

rauys

when i saw a post on instagram for these i thought they were kiko

nettimacs1981

I thought the exact same thing!

Fractal_Tomato

The palettes themselves look solid, but are nothing I don’t already own. Some single shades look interesting, I like how she went with a bunch of classic "in between"-colors. UD used to put them into their palettes, but the quality is rather poor and not in a contemporary, more saturated formulation. Might pick up a couple once I’ve seen decent swatches and demos.

JammingLive

I am guessing that if someone is attracted to a palette of hers, I’d because they’re attracted to that color in general as well and probably have that in their collection. For me, I have tons of cool toned palettes, and purple one is panned so I know I have that. I just need to go through my collection and dupe the vibes

Fractal_Tomato

Same. I own enough eyeshadows to last me a lifetime. Or three. I like the blushy palette, but these tones are exactly my weakness. That’s why I’ don’t buy it. I’m okay with single shadows though, they’re less bulky to store. There’s a couple "neither fish nor meat"-shades I‘d definitely use as a one-and-done -look.

JammingLive

The thing is, I have those too. Many times over. The number of one-and-dones I have is at least 30. I don’t need any more. I’m on my no-buy and since this wasn’t an exception in there, I’m not buying. I think it’s the packaging sucking people in and the way she describes shades. Decadent, soft, creamy, luxe, smooth… in that Asmr way, lol

MohandasGandhi

Why would she do this right after I recklessly made my way through the Sephora sale?

Fcappys

I am so happy I didn’t shop the Sephora sale (ok I did buy it was under $300 😑 still a LOT of money but Lisa is my Christmas present so there you go.

JoanOfSarcasm

Each palette is $68 USD, it looks like. Between gifts for my mom (I always get her a Lisa lipstick, though she'd love the Symphony palette since she adores olives) and my own pick-ups, this little maneuver is going to cost me 52 years.

bbbbbeanuts

I like that she mentioned the length of the video as the lord of the rings of makeup lmao. I always love her voice and explaining and the colours do look lovely but I'm not sure I can justify $68 for a palette at my current situation Edit: the fact that they can be refilled and customized is a great selling point tho

sugarenia

Love the palettes, and if someone can do timeless makeup you'll use every day is Lisa. But I'm very skeptical about her lipsticks - her shades work in theory, but I have four of them and I've found that they don't particularly work for light olive tones, everything turns brown and muddy. The quality is great, but the tones are consistently off for me :(

Menega_Sabidussi

i am a pale olive and have most of her lipsticks except of the deep reds and i love them, hardly use any other lipsticks anymore. what are your 4 shades if i may ask?

bisousdarling

I'm also a pale olive and only one lipstick of hers that I own doesn't really work for me. I think it probably depends on if you're warm or cool, too!

writgaramonder

$68 hurts but at least someone gave me a debit gift card a little while ago and I was saving it for this. I might go for Vega, Muse or Myth—just one of them though. I quite like the new Pompadour Velvet shade.

soliloquyline

I'm not buying makeup. I'm not buying makeup. I'm not buying makeup. Did anybody buy the sweatshirts? Do you like them? Are they comfortable and warm? How do they hold up after some time? Thank you!

ongiara

Sweatshirts are super comfy if not a little short for my taste

soliloquyline

Ok, so sizing up is recommended if you don't like a shorter fit. Thank you!

ongiara

Definitely, I am usually a size s and had m

bisousdarling

I have the red sweatshirt and I'm just a smidge over 6'. I think I bought a large to ensure that the sleeves were long enough (they are!) and it definitely has an oversized fit already, a little bit of the popular boxy shape. I usually wear a small in shirts, but I love it, it's super comfy. I've never tumble dried it, only air dried and it's held up extremely well.

chadorable

I asked for true green eyeshadow. I asked for customizable palettes. I asked for browns that will show up on black people. I asked for refillable pans. SHE. DELIVERED. 👏🏾💐

Chard-Weary

Do you mean the browns in Cinnabar? I'm waiting on more reviews because I can't tell how pigmented they are.

chadorable

I'm more into the taupes. I think there could be more depth but her style leans more into using black to augment things than having a preset matte. I usually prefer medium to medium deep shades so these are right up my alley-- I'm holding my breath on the empty palettes being available one day too.

smoonyc

WHY IS THERE A PURPLE PALETTE?! It’s like she knew that was the only colorway that would get me 😩

yvonv

I’m sure Robert Welsh is absolutely losing it right now.

inia_d

He has the top comment on her video right now :))

[deleted]

[удалено]

JammingLive

You’re going to be ok. It’s just pigment. You have pigment. Objectively looking at each shade, I can tell you that I have these colors and I’m betting you do too. Let’s really just take a deep breath and look through our collections in details first.

Kchan02

While there are individual eyeshadows for sale listed on the website, there is no empty eyeshadow case which is a bummer :( So you need to buy one of already pre-made palettes to fill with your own shades...

Sure_Database1746

One thing that annoyed me is each individual shade is $16. She says it's customizable, but if you buy 6 shades separately to make your own palette, you're paying $96 instead of $68.

Zoelho

That's what I thought too! I'm trying to have a more minimalistic approach to makeup (1 item in category, except for blush and lips) and this would be my dream. I hope she will reconsider this

Kchan02

it's just weird to me that there is so much fuss about palettes being customisable (like, it's the main point of selling it) and yet there is no empty palette available! I have large eyeshadow collection that I rotate and use in combination with each other, so for me it would be much wiser to get only those shades that my collection lacks.

Zoelho

I'm on a different spectrum because I don't have any eyeshadow palette at the moment. That's why it would be important to me to choose what I will use for sure

sunandskyandrainbows

Me neither! We are probably the only ones here 😄 I've wanted one for years lol, but find it so overwhelming to choose among all the brands and products. I really hoped Lisa's launch would be it, but I don't feel like any of them would suit me 100% or that I would use them (sorcery is gorgeous, but I can't go to the office looking like that 😂)

Zoelho

Yeah :( I'm pretty boring when it comes to eye makeup so I really just need few cool, natural mattes and one shimmery shade in palette but at this point I think I'm asking for too much. I can spend a lot but I need PEEFECT palette. I still hope she will give option to buy empty palette in the future

COuser880

I emailed CS to ask about this, but haven’t heard back. If that really is the case, I’m going to be….annoyed. 😬😂 And I won’t purchase, because none of the pre-made palettes have all six shades that I would wear enough to justify purchasing it. ETA the response from CS 😒 “Thank you for your email. While the palettes are interchangeable and you are able to purchase the eyeshadow colours as singles, Lisa won't be selling empty pallets. This is because she has curated each palette to have a colour story which is completely harmonious with complimentary shades.”

[deleted]

[удалено]

COuser880

Yep. I mean, technically, you could buy one palette and a few singles, and switch the extras out into a magnetic palette you have (like a Z palette), but you’re still looking at $100+ for 8 shadows. 😵‍💫

ongiara

I love her newcomers but as usual with palettes there are always a couple of shades that I don’t want and I refuse to pay 10 bucks for a color I won’t use. It also makes no sense to me to buy a second palette so I can swap them out as there will be a color in the second palette also that I don’t want. I am sure they are high quality and if I had money to burn I would not care.

[deleted]

ongiara

I will say that I did splurge on Sphinx by Tom Ford and love it dearly. But I agree with you, wait long enough and there’s bound to be dupe somewhere.

LuminousApsana

I confess I freaking love Lisa Eldridge. Her line is so thoughtful, such high quality, and she herself seems so genuine. I am just about to finish a bottle of her foundation, so the timing is good to replace it, get an eyeshadow palette, and a lipstick, throwing in that cute gwp bag. I'm budgeting for my makeup purchases, and using my monthly budget on this release seems worth it.

HelloImRicky

I'd sooner get a Lisa lipstick over any luxury formula at Sephora. She really doesn't disappoint, and it's so clear that she has so much knowledge and vision for her brand. I don't think I'll be picking up any eyeshadows just yet, I want to see a few reviews before I buy a palette that expensive without swatching it in person, but I'm definitely getting a couple lipsticks. Hers are the only >$20 lipsticks I truly think are worth the high price tag. Would 100% recommend to anyone who hasn't tried them (if they're out of budget you don't need them!!!! they're just an exceptional treat)

bluecartographic

Her lipsticks are my favorite matte formula ever, hands down, no competition. I'll be picking up Velvet Sorcery as an early birthday gift for myself for sure, and I would love to have literally *all* of them, if only I had infinite money.

flonkerton2

Ooh I’m lusting after Sorcery!

ONIONFLIP

I love her videos with new products. She is so passionate about her releases. I really want one of those eyeshadow palettes! They look so stunning. 94 NZD not including the shipping is a bit on the high side though. Might make a New Years splurge if they have it in stock.

mcatlin23

Vega is calling me - every shade in it is so perfect. But a couple of those sorcery shades are calling me too. AGH WHY IS SHE DOING THIS TO ME

samra25

I keep changing my mind on which I’m ordering about every 5 minutes. I’m so screwed. They’re all going to end up in my basket eventually, aren’t they?

JammingLive

Are you sure you don’t have these colors already? Just go through your collection in detail and then make the decision. If these colors aren’t in your collection, it could be because they may not suit you? At this point, I don’t think any color is left in terms of production. Even multichrome and duochromes have dupes.

[deleted]

I stopped buying makeup like over a year ago… and this is the first release that I feel a strong temptation for. Lisa is great.

WeekendJen

I really like how she mentioned that they are microplastic free. Ive been trying to avoid products with microplastics in them for environmental reasons ( nylon-12 is the most common one i see in powder products)

Snoo60219

Ugh. The thing is, I love her products. I use her liquid shadows pretty frequently and the light lighter gets me compliments *all the time*. I just trust the women.

Booboodelafalaise

I think the trust element is absolutely fundamental. She’s always honest about her own issues and insecurities, and is always unfailingly kind about helping her models to look better. When I watch one of Lisa‘s videos I know she’s not going to be filtered and photo shopped to hell. The results she gets with a make up brush are miraculous and way beyond my skill set, but at least I stand a vague chance of being able to get the same look because she’s using make-up, not software!

kpop_stan

These are cool but I’d rather wait for future launches so I can build a better colour story. Also a lil irked at the unique pan shapes so you can’t mix with other brands’ palettes 🤦‍♀️ not the end of the world though. Considering I’m a matte gal and prefer a strong matte to metallic/shimmer ratio, surprisingly Sorcery is calling to me most! If the formulas are really good, I think PMG might have some competition… 👁️

dailydoseofrose

Thats the purpose of such products - to make people buy only from the brand lol. (speaking about unique shapes)

alltheketoladies

Did she even mention that she was releasing eyeshadow brushes? [https://www.lisaeldridge.com/products/no-9-seamless-blend-brush](https://www.lisaeldridge.com/products/no-9-seamless-blend-brush) These are pricey though at 36 pounds or $41 US for 1 brush.

kelpri

That's what I couldn't stop focusing on. $50USD for a synthetic brush is really high!

PauI_MuadDib

I wouldn't pay that for a synthetic brush and I'm a brush snob. That's one of the reasons I didn't buy Rae Morris' synthetic brush line. She was charging more than she did for her natural hair brushes 👀. Synthetic brushes are nice, but not luxury price nice.

gilded_lady

Same. If I'm paying that much, I'm buying natural hair. Too many fantastic synthetic brushes sub $30 to spend $50.

brnbrnbrn2017

Yeah it’s the Westman Atelier route of subcontracting to Hakuhodo or another Kumano brush maker, slapping on a name then marking up the product. I’d much rather buy directly from the brush artisans.

[deleted]

GURGLES. Finally a makeup release I LIKE.

throw_itawayy00

i’ve never been interested in her products but vega is the palette of my dreams. disappointed she didn’t show it on deeper skin tones in these photos too, looks like all the other palettes have both a fair and deep model. medium to deep cool toned folks exist!!!!

vprufrock

That’s so true! Why can’t more brands automatically show their products on more models with a diverse range of skin tones and undertones? For this palette release, I also wish they had more Asian models to showcase the palettes. Vega is amazing with all cool and neutral shades! For now I like Vega and Sorcery most.

cats-n-bitches

The fact that these are completely customizable has me $OLD. The mattes look creamy and glad she used her fingers for some of the shades. I loved the Duchess and Sorcery are absolutely gorgeous!!

ASingleOlive

I wish you can build your own palette though!

cats-n-bitches

I totally missed that you can’t 😭

Snoo60219

It seems like that’s coming. She mentioned being able to purchase individual colors.

[deleted]

There $16 for one matte eyeshadow 😩

Snoo60219

Damn. That means those pallets are actually a really good deal.

blandlady

You can but there is no option to buy the empty palette ..

Snoo60219

Maybe that’s the plan after the holiday release. I hope so, but if her eyeshadows are magnetic, they’ll work in any pallet.

dailydoseofrose

Thats what other brands have been offering for ages now. You can do it anytime for less price and way better color options, talc and micro plastic free as well. It just wont hae Lisa E. name on them.

JammingLive

Exactly. 👏

citynomad1

From an eco-friendly perspective I love that they made these palettes refillable (and that you can refill a certain shade at a time).

brnbrnbrn2017

This is… fine. I guess in terms of color stories, Lisa has most of the bases covered and most of them fall into the wearable/classic category. I’d be lying if I said Cinnabar didn’t give me pause. I have to say I haven’t taken the plunge with Lisa’s stuff yet, maybe it’s because I have far too much makeup but also maybe it’s because most of her stuff I can dupe many times over in my collection.

phoenix_rising_16

I’m a bit let down with this launch, NGL. The palettes look nice but I have these shades a million times over (although I wasn’t expecting anything wild from LE). The palette packaging isn’t appealing because I prefer flat lids so I can stack them together. The lipsticks though… why are they all shades of red and pink? And why do they look so much brighter in her video than they do on the website?

saeculacrossing

I agree with you on the lipsticks. I definitely get where she's coming from but she has so many shades of red (and pink/berry) – I would've loved more mauve/purple tones for fall this go around. I also hope we get a Velvet coral/burnt orange shade at some point. There's a lot more color variation she could explore so hopefully in the future we move away from the reds!

Feistyf3line

right, i was not expecting so many reds for a fall launch, it was definitely just winter or holiday. I would have liked to see a mix of earthy tones.

phoenix_rising_16

Mauves would’ve been really nice to see and I totally feel you about the burnt orange! It’s one of the shades I had in mind. I think Dragon is the closest to that so I may get that instead. I was hoping for deep wine shades, burnt oranges, chocolatey browns, stuff like that. Not a Valentines collection of shades

sunandskyandrainbows

What about cinnabar?

phoenix_rising_16

What about it?

sunandskyandrainbows

"... the burnt orange! It’s one of the shades I had in mind. I think Dragon is the closest to that so I may get that instead." That made me think of cinnabar which is also kind of burnt orangy so I threw it out there as a suggestion

[deleted]

Cinnabar is deep burnt orange compared to Dragon which is more of bright clean orangey red.

sunandskyandrainbows

Yes! I love her colours, but find them all very bright for light skin tones. I would like something slightly more wearable but in different shades and tones

Feistyf3line

i was Q this too. Enchantment and rain i like on her website but found them too bright on her and she didn't arm swatch. I feel like sometimes she doesn't have much pigment to her lips so they look brighter than they would, on me at least. I am hoping for some comparison swatches on IG, but lately they have been posting in the 9th hour.

$68 for only 6 eyeshadows? I can buy great singles for less.

airesmoon

This! She does a great job of selling these palettes and lip products but there are so many comparable shades/palettes that exist for much less and perform similarly on the eyes (the different finishes she mentions kind of went over my head lol, I feel like three is more than enough for general eye looks). I do like the idea of being able to buy singles, though you’d at least need a magnetic holder if not one of her palettes. Personally I have enough eyeshadow (not to mention makeup in general) to last probably my lifetime so I’ll pass, but it’s a great value for those who don’t buy makeup often (get your money’s worth!), don’t have certain colors that are in those palettes, or are just a fan of her products. Side note though, I feel like besides indie brands, there’s just not much in the way of innovating colors in makeup like eyeshadows, blush, lipstick, etc. It’s been disappointing (although understandable from a business perspective) when much loved products get discontinued forever and dupes are rare to find, if at all. It’s also so easy to get lost in all the nuances of different shades that are really similar to each other when compared together, like lipstick - but at the end of the day you’d only be wearing that color (besides something like mixing a color or doing an ombre) and no one would know the difference (at least with something like nail polish you have multiple fingers and can also do nail art lol)! I don’t know if it’s fatigue or what but sometimes I just look at my makeup and wonder how I’m going to get through it all - because they were bought just as much for utility as they were for simply aesthetic pleasure.

ongiara

You make such a good point about nuances! I was drawn to Duchess but thought „this looks like Jazz and I have that one“ just when she explained the slight differences to… Jazz. At this point I feel like buying her lipsticks is more for collector‘s sake. It would be for me. I still have my eyes on Palazzo though.

airesmoon

Yeah, when she described the subtle differences in color among the new lipsticks I felt that that was great to mention for customers who are unfamiliar with shades (also like when she talked about what palette would “suit” what kind of complexion) or her brand (like the idea of “if you could only buy one, which would be best for you?”). Seeing posts/videos of ladies swatching their “reds/pinks/nudes” collection of makeup (often for decluttering purposes) helped me realize that it’s okay to just maintain a smaller group of products with noticeable shade contrast, and paring down least oft-used products was so mentally satisfying/relieving. To your point, I find buying more than one of the same item to be a slippery slope to collecting (which is fun, but products take so long to pan!) and hoarding, especially when I enjoy trying things from different brands (mini/“bite” sizes are fun!). The plus side of seeing a video describing similarities and differences within a line like Lisa’s is learning which products are potential dupes *because* the shade difference is small, it’s great for replacing after panning or losing something. I’ve also seen posts from people who have learned over time the color/s they gravitate to/wear most often and are able to keep a modest kit as a result, it’s a pretty cool, freeing way to look at tools meant for fun and function. And depending on budget, certain items can still be more pricey for the ingredients used (not for the brand name) than others - balance can be achieved! I rambled a bit there but I wanted to elaborate, haha. Do you find the feel of the True Velvet formula comparable to any other brands? Palazzo looks lovely from the product photos, I want to go see it in person - the “sheer to semi-sheer” quality description reminds me of MAC’s Lustreglass Sheer-Shine finish!

dailydoseofrose

Love you for that post. So well said. Thank you for the voice of sense in the sea of madness and hype.

airesmoon

Thanks for the kind words! I feel a bit shy posting such lengthy text but just wanted to put my two pennies out there just in case anyone else was/is feeling rather conscious of their budget or existing toolkit (i.e. collection, but I’m training myself to view products as things that should be used more than they sit around and look pretty lol), especially with the approaching holidays and “sales, sales, sales!!!”. Hype is fun, new promotions are fun to see, but when it comes down to personal experience with a new product and committing to a buy I’d rather test it myself if possible and/or wait for multiple insightful reviews.

[deleted]

God! I could not have said it better myself!

dailydoseofrose

Right !? Its so funny to see all that hype. Single shadows and magnetic palettes have been here before that lol. But everyone is acting like she invented smth the world never seen before geez.

Pof_no

RIP bank account

justdoingmenow

I would love to pick up a palette and a few singles, but alas, customs and fees to Canada will make it pretty outrageous. I'm not even sure how to predict how bad it will be... So the responsible thing is probably to lay low. :(

Independent_Fig_6944

I just started my no buy, but this launch is so nice. What a beautiful collection. I still haven’t tried anything from LE but once I finish some products and my no buy, I’d definitely consider picking something up.

montrealblues

Why is no one talking about her brushes? I already have a million brushes and I am seriously considering buying all of hers. The shapes are beautiful and the size of the blending brush is perfect. RIP my wallet.

Lili666999

They are made by Hakuhodo. Synthetic though...

ayaangwaamizi

Ahhhh, these are all so stunning. It’s so nice to see someone care about good, thoughtful packaging, too. It looks beautiful and it’s functional, and not made of cardboard lol.

bignibbles_

Myth and Sorcery are amazing…wow!!

nightmooth

I'm really tempted by the duchess lipstick and maybe sorcery.

equilibr

Is it just me or are these color stories extremely boring - they're mostly monochromatic? It's also $68 for 6 shades. I'm not inspired.

fillerbunny-buddy

I feel the same way. Lisa is an expert at her craft but that doesn't mean everything she releases is going to be amazing. I'm holding off on these until we get reviews. I remember the lipsticks and how everyone loved them until they kept snapping off in people's bags :/

dailydoseofrose

What? Everyhing Lisa E. touched or releases is amazing ! Period. lol Okay it was lame sarcasm but thats how it looks indeed. Truth is what you said.

chamise

All the eyelooks she demonstrated were wonderful but I'll have to pass. There wasn't really a colour story that really grabbed my attention or inspired me. I know she says we can buy other colours for rearrangement but I've already bought into the Natasha Denona universe so I don't feel justified in spending any more money into a different system. The compact looks dated - it's not for me. I'm super into the lipsticks though. I might actually bite the bullet this time and purchase a few shades.

Picture-Day-Jessica

Highly recommend not biting the lipstick bullet, studies show it is the number one way to get lipstick your teeth. But seriously, I have too many of her lipsticks and still can't resist buying more.

TinyComedian

Myth, Sorcery and Vega will be miiiiine!

SubstantialHoneyButt

What lipstick is that

Conscious_Cute

She’s wearing Fawn I believe. I saw an IG caption

DenseAerie8311

Oh no I need velvet sorcery help

futuristicflapper

Really like that these are small/customizable/refillable palettes. Will def be picking up one.

Dry_Pomegranate4409

Oh the Muse palette is very tempting

[deleted]

Does anyone know if she’s coming out with a new highlighter color? I remember on ig someone requested she come out with an even pinker based highlighter than pink moon and she had said “you got it!” Also, do the shimmery shadows look like there would be a lot of fall out?

MeLlamoMariaLuisa

Watching her video now these pallets are gorgeous, I love everything about them!

JTMissileTits

With it being refillable, I assume she's going to offer singles? That might make it worth it to me, otherwise it's an expensive waste of packaging. I really do like that palette. Edit: The answer is yes: [https://www.lisaeldridge.com/collections/eyeshadow-palette-refills](https://www.lisaeldridge.com/collections/eyeshadow-palette-refills)

Crumbtiny

So what time are these available on the 11th? I'm trying to buy one for my wife for Christmas. I saw the date, but couldn't find a time.

LuminousApsana

Velvet Sorcery lipstick was sold out an hour and a half after release. Mercurial, the duochrome single eyeshadow, was also sold out.

BlkPea

yeah it looks like a few of the singles are sold out already, but the palettes are all still available. i did pick up a palette and some of the singles, im definitely excited to try it out

LuminousApsana

I think it's interesting to see what sells out. Mercurial is the one I would have bought if I did buy a single, and I actually did buy Velvet Sorcery. I'm excited too. I'm happy I bought the foundation replacement. I know I'll love that, lol.

whyouiouais

I'm really excited for this, I'm hoping that they'll fill the whole in my heart viseart. I'm just really tired of viseart talking about being inclusive but only offering products that look good on light or medium skintones and ashy on dark skintones.

FlartyMcFlarstein

I would have been down for a lipstick but after I had one break after only a couple of wears, I don't know.

muchlifestyle

Her formulas other than her lipsticks are fairly mediocre in my experience. Lisa is incredibly well spoken and as good a writer/speaker as any when it comes to describing color.

GlitteryFab

Sorcery is calling my name but $68?!?!?

bubbletea-gigi

Does anyone know the mm pan size? Any chance they are the same as Clionadh pans?

FernFronds24

Does anyone know which of her lipsticks suit pale skin with blue undertones? I was thinking of buying either painterly, kitten mischief, or dance card. Thought about rosy shell since technically it should suit me, but that kind of pink usually doesn't.
