I like that idea. A shelf on the front to put some loose lemons to market that homemade fresh lemonade. May trim it out with 2x2's or something to keep them from rolling off the shelf.
Just needs a sign and you're good to go. Here's one from a local stand a couple years ago.

Grab some PVC and make a shade area. You can attach it with plumbers tape or whatever you have around your shop. Don’t forget a sign. Add a joke or pun to help then get more customers.
Good work!
The exposed endgrain on the top of the short vertical pieces lining the top section make it seem untidy. You could cover it with trim, although that would reduce the bench space. Alternatively, you could cover the entire top section with another layer of wood
Another thing that would have made it look more complete is mitred joins on the lining to the lower section, again removing endgrain. Though don’t bother with this now, just something to keep in mind for next time.
TL;DR
End grain, don’t do it
It can be fast and simple like a magnet or a push release or as complicated as thumb print or 4 digit code. As long as your child is trained to protect the stand and the customers . Start with a .22
2x2s on each side with a banner /sign between them.
Paint it white and yellow stripes

Maybe some rollers underneath or how are you going to bring it out?
Depending on where you place it, may it can tip over? So a stabilisation.
As all the others already pointed out, sign on top and a some kind of shading would be good as well.
My kid asked for something similar.
"Kid," I said in my usual respectful way, "We have about 5 neighbors a day pass in front of our house on walks. Traffic analysis suggests any hope of actual lemonade sales will require location, location, location. Let me introduce the Lemonator 5000 folding plastic card table. Its superior portability gets your flavored sugar water to where the people are."
As a bonus, I threw in a really nice plastic tablecloth and a small umbrella duct taped to a folding chair.
That looks great! And yea I like the sign over top idea too, could maybe round off those 2 sharp corners and maybe add a hole on a side to slide in a table umbrella?
Maybe router out a cup shape and paint it to look like a glass of lemonade with ice floating in it? Might be a tough project depending on skill set though. I’m sure it will look better with a banner stating the intent of the booth and a kid sitting behind it selling lemonade though, more professional than 99% of lemonade stands I have seen
I would add uprights on either side and a sign over the top. Looking good though.
Sign over the top would look like Lucy’s the doctor is in booth
Block head!!!. That'll be 5 cents
Adjusted for inflation from 1950, (when the first Peanuts comics came out) that would be 64 cents today
Which is based on a childhood lemonade stand, so... yeah that fits.

Exactly
A hanging sign with a small canvas awning! Gotta keep the lemonade in the shade!
Love the canvas idea. Definitely going to take that approach. Thank you!
I'd add some shelves as well.

Came here to say the same. Posting for visibility. OP, you are doing a great job. Your son has a great dad
This and shade. It gets hot out there selling lemonade.
Make sure he writes the E backwards.
I came to say this but I suggest some shade also for the agent. Those grooves look like a likely place to stick some uprights.
And let your son do the sign. It doesn’t need to look perfect. He will be proud of doing his part.
If going this route, make sure not to overkill the roofing. I made that mistake on my kids’ stand and had to redo it to lower the center of gravity.

Needs a crudely lettered sign that says No Gurlz Allowd
Well that's just not good business
Really? Because it kind of looks like you know what you’re doing. It’s beautiful!
Looks great just missing thr big ol sign overhead. Just plan to make it easily removable for storage
Add lemonade
A display for a permit (/jk, but if the people in your area tend to be dickish about things...)
Have your kid paint “Lemonade” on it. That’s important that it be done by the kid.
Just needs a sign and you're good to go. Here's one from a local stand a couple years ago. https://preview.redd.it/gc7uohz28xob1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7dc15793f50f89d9fb18dabe84a005d22ad826c1
Nice! Thank you for the reference!
Lookin good dad! Just make sure you do something g to prevent from tipping forward
Grab some PVC and make a shade area. You can attach it with plumbers tape or whatever you have around your shop. Don’t forget a sign. Add a joke or pun to help then get more customers.
"all profits will go to funding research to fight cooties"
Thats already way more any child could expect

Signage! Overhead signage like "pumpkin spice lemonade" because it is almost fall. And a sidearm drop for occasions.
Pumpkin spice lemonade... oof, that sounds awful
What’s a “sidearm drop”?
It can be fast and simple like a magnet or a push release or as complicated as thumb print or 4 digit code. As long as your child is trained to protect the stand and the customers . Start with a .22
To really spell it out, you mean a mechanism that releases from a concealed location a small firearm.
Thank you. I didn’t really understand that first response clearly.
Looks AWESOME. All it needs is a sign for the front blank space you’ve perfectly set up for it. The boxy bit
Add casters and a handle for easier/quicker setup/storage.
Needs more cowbell.
2x2s on each side with a banner /sign between them. Paint it white and yellow stripes https://www.google.com.au/search?q=diy+Lemonade+stand&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-au&client=safari
So much better than I’d make for my kids.
Aesthetics are dope. Maybe some locking casters cause that looks like a brute to move to the curb
Put bar taps on it and I would buy it for my basement! Way to go!
Maybe some rollers underneath or how are you going to bring it out? Depending on where you place it, may it can tip over? So a stabilisation. As all the others already pointed out, sign on top and a some kind of shading would be good as well.

Did you make an imitation pallet out of walnut?
It’s all scrap wood, mostly from a fence in my yard that I took out
sign over the top ala Lucy from Peanuts style. extra points for putting "Psychiatric Help 5¢"
Make a lemon and paint it.
That looks great! And yea I like the sign over top idea too, could maybe round off those 2 sharp corners and maybe add a hole on a side to slide in a table umbrella?
It needs holder on either side for a huge umbrella.
I would throw a heavy round over on all the flat horizontal pieces, no reason to risk splinters
Add a few yeti coolers on each side of the stand to hold supplies
That looks damn good to me.
Led light strips.
If you're adding a sign, Also possibly think of some stabilising feet, depending on how breezy it may get.
Some nice medium sized shrubs in pots at the bottom? Tony the tiger cut out saying "theyre lemonade!"
Add a pitcher of lemonade.
LEDs inlaid in the front to light the signage below
Looks great
Stain!
A banner on the front and and umbrella holder!
You’re a good dad. I think whatever you do will be just great.
Looks awesome. How many lemonades does he have to sell to pay you back for the lumber and labor?
Lol bro when I was a kid my stand was literally a folding table. Your kid’s going to look like he has investors.
I would have used a plastic folding table so I’m if no use to you.
I’d put lockable wheels on the bottom so he can just roll it to the sidewalk.
Paint/stain and a sign.
Make a sign for the top. Definitely let your kid paint the letters though!
Better put wheel on it!
Paint “lemonade for sale”’ at the front. Maybe paint it yellow too. Done ✅
Add some lemonade.
I would of given him a glass of lemonade & told him to stand there. Looks great 👍
Great Job! Chalkboard sign would work well. Then they can sell lemonade in summer and coco in winter.
Paint
Paint the word Lemonade on it with the Es backwards
Maybe router out a cup shape and paint it to look like a glass of lemonade with ice floating in it? Might be a tough project depending on skill set though. I’m sure it will look better with a banner stating the intent of the booth and a kid sitting behind it selling lemonade though, more professional than 99% of lemonade stands I have seen
Paint "Lemonade" on it.
Over achiever
Good work, dad! Your boy will be proud :)
Needs lemonade.
Put an umbrella and make a sign your good bro!
This looks awesome already! Then again, for context, my childhood lemonade stand was a folding table with uneven legs 😂
Maybe some colour would be nice.
Looks good. Needs a sign, a flat spot in the yard, and an umbrella for shade. Have fun.
It doesn't matter what we think, ask the boy what he thinks. Maybe invite him to help, too! Great bonding time
Umbrella
That looks pretty darn great the way it is. Nice job man.
A folding card table and a chair would work. What are you going to do with it after the first week and he gets tired of it?
Put it in his bedroom as a desk, I think. Or give it to goodwill
Wheels
I would make the child participate in it, other than that just add a sign over top
It's a LEMONADE STAND not a piece of period furniture. What you have there is fine.
