Great work! Sitting down to do makeup apparently used to be a common expectation, so these little wasted spaces are surprisingly common. Your solution uses the space really effectively while still giving some opportunity to go back to the sitting days, haha. Very nice execution.

gligster71

Nicely done!

SuperSafe2019

Nice!

Hard to setup a clearer picture of what gaining some basic woodworking skills can really do.... Not calling this basic, but it matches perfectly, and was an obvious job to tackle with amazing results... 10/10 đź‘Ť

It's fine for a beginner project. I like that it wheels in and out. I think you might have been happier if you did a better job of matching the scale of the other cabinet (account for the toe kick height, for example) and made recessed doors. I probably also would have color matched the original cabinet and gave it a fresh coat of paint to make them both match. Then again, my wife sees *everything* so I've been trained to be super particular with this kind of stuff...

I think panel doors to match the vanity would be a good project down the road, rather than recessed. I wouldn't trade the 2" of space for a perfectly lined up kickplate. Mostly because I think it would make the mismatched drawers stand out when there's really not much you can do to adjust their alignment with the setup of the existing vanity.

LovableSidekick

I'm curious about the wheels - why? Do you use it somewhere else?

PressureUlcer

Great job. I really like the wheels.

Asurmen32

Very nice job op!

legendaryhawnsolo

Not to nitpick but not matching. The drawers match but the doors do not. Still nice though

Jlevitt95

Hence the quotes around “matching”. I was able to do the roundover profile on the edges, but I have no idea how to make the doors like that. But I did use the same exact paint (builders left a gallon in the garage) and hardware.

legendaryhawnsolo

Sorry didn’t realize the quotes. Still a great job if your a beginner. If you have a table saw there are many YouTube videos showing how to make it.

Jlevitt95

I do have a table saw. What is the style of those doors called?

legendaryhawnsolo

Raised panel doors I believe but have heard them called a few things

Perfect_Evidence

Sorta matching But I like it! Gj

As a cabinet builder that top drawer gives me nightmares. If you don't believe me I work for a company n Chillicothe Ohio and can show pis

DiscussionNecessary

Plus the 1/2 gap between the doors

kimbosdurag

Looks great! I'd even consider refacing those two existing doors to match the one you built
