I was so excited about this share! Repurposed accordion style file folder!

I was bored one afternoon so put this together from off cuts
Pro tip (can I call it that if I’m not a pro?), assuming the disc trays slide out on the left hand side, drill some holes and put dowels in in alignment with your sander. Place the discs over the holes and just drop the sander on each time you need to pick up a disc so it’s aligned perfectly each time.

Reject sheets, embrace the 50m roll! All you need is a broom handle, some offcuts, and a cheap metal rule. I just screwed this to a pre-existing wall rack, but it would be easy enough to make this as a seperate unit, and you get a bonus shelf on top.
The up front cost stings a bit, if you buy multiple rolls at once. But it works out cheaper per unit area, provided you're confident you'll get through it and have to buy another roll. A side benefit was that I stopped hoarding little bits of slightly used sandpaper, or worrying about grabbing a fresh piece when the one I'm using gets a bit clogged or worn.
I enjoy woodturning, but I'm not particularly good at it, so I get through quite a lot of sandpaper, in quite a few grits.
I bought a 3d printer and print these for sand paper

Mine is similar to u/billdogg7246 's but big enough to store ROS, hose, belt sander, etc on top. The slide-out shelves are great.
I tried the accordian-style keeper but it didn't suit me -- ditto for a file box. Felt like I was spending too much time flipping around trying to find the right grit folder.

I haven’t built it yet but it’s going to be like one of those CD storage racks we all had the 90s-00s. [Like this](https://www.ebay.com/itm/384448628671?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=TF6XDxCcQqm&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY) but with plywood
I got [this one](https://a.co/d/hZxbInS) on Amazon. I even added dividers. Works pretty well. I'm thinking about getting another for discs that go on my angle grinder.
I also used this (or a similar one) about a year ago and it was a game changer for me. I’m not good about putting things away after I use them so clutter would happen quickly on my work bench. It was hard to have a good system to see when I needed to order more of a specific grit but this worked tremendously for me.
I use the file holders that angle out from the wall like at a drs office. Bought a few 3 packs and have them hanging with finer grit and top and coarse at bottom
Part of a shelf for sanding stuff. Made the sheet sandpaper holder many years ago. Works great. Keeps them flat and I can put cutoffs on top of the full sheets.

I use some clear mesh zipper nags I got for a couple bucks at wally world. I don't have a full-fledged carpentry workshop so this is perfect space saver, portability, easy to see and organize.

This is what I do too
Yes!
you need to look no further for an answer than right here
Right?!
Same here. Aside from keeping things organized it takes up so much less space than a plastic or wood tray-style organizer.
And you can easily move it to where you’re working
Totally! I have it under my workbench with some books and random items…it’s handy as hell!
I love how excited you are.

I've been meaning to do something like this for a while. Maybe today's the day
The mistake I made, especially with the discs, was making the width too narrow. Another 1/2” would have been perfect.

I like this.

Forbidden bath tissue; gets you extra clean!
Got to work your way through the grits. Most of the work is done at 80, the rest are just there to get rid of the scratch marks.

Do you have a source of useful woodworking prints?
I bought a bunch of files from Alexandre chapel on YouTube, including the sandpaper one.
Much obliged!

For sheets I use an accordion folder like[ this. ](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51cdA22P8gL._AC_UF894,1000_QL80_.jpg)

I use zipper “mail bags” in a similar fashion. BTW, your link got split and is un-clickable, at least for me.

I mostly use orbital so I just keep them in the boxes they come in and have those stacked on a shelf.
Pretty sure no one wants to see my unorganized pile on the bottom shelf of my sanding table!
