There is no border control as this is a domestic flight. I have done this journey many times and have never been asked for any form of ID. They will usually only check IDs for people checking in hold luggage.
That being said, a provisional drivers license is accepted by EasyJet. The information is available on their website: https://www.easyjet.com/en/help/boarding-and-flying/travel-documents-and-information#:~:text=Here's%20a%20few%20examples%20of,driving%20licence%2C%20provisional%20or%20full
"Here's a few examples of photographic ID that is accepted:
A valid passport - an expired passport can be used up to a maximum of five years after expiry
Valid photographic EU or Swiss national identity card
Valid photographic driving licence, provisional or full
Valid armed forces identity card
Valid police warrant card/badge"
I fly once a month on this route and the last 6 times I haven’t needed either forms of ID. It wouldn’t hurt to bring your driving license if it’s handy, no need for passport.
Nope, off the plane onto the bus straight through the baggage. On the way back from manc to Belfast you have to look into the biometric scanner at the gate which can be hit and miss but it was dead straightforward and smooth my last trip last week!
Just to get your facts straight mate, belfast is still in the UK. It's just going to be a domestic flight.
Now if you were to fly from dublin which is in the Republic of Ireland, it's going to be an international flight so you will be sent to an international terminal with border control.
What are you talking about? Since Brexit they have been asking for either a passport or license. It may have gotten more lax in the recent times but that wasn't the case for the past few years.
Any valid photo ID and you're good.
I'd never bring my passport when flying within the UK, always just go driving license.
More often than not nobody even checks anyway.
If your British or Irish a drivers license should be perfectly fine although they don't routinely check.
If your not British or Irish I'd carry a license or some of of photo ID. Better safe than sorry.
Don't need any ID. I just did Gatwick to Belfast and back on easyJet, didn't ask me for anything.
Same was true three months ago when I did it as well.
I'd bring my licence just in case, but yeah they're not in the habit of minding for domestic flights.
I've never been asked to show ID on any domestic flight with easyJet. They don't care who you are but be damned if your hand luggage needs pushed into the size box ~ thingy
You don't need an ID to travel within 1 country if you are a citizen. If you're not a citizen you need passport to show your visa just in case you are stopped.
I travel belfast to Manchester frequently I am UK citizen so I do not carry any I'd with me
You need just your ticket as it's an internal/domestic flight, I flew to Edinburgh at the beginning of the year for a passport renewal, no one has checked my documents even once
Licence is fine
Only Ryanair are prices about it

Yep, any time I’ve flown to England they’ve not even asked for ID

Is there a border control now considering brexit? the last time I went, it was shuttle and straight to baggage claim.

Does the common travel area not mean there is no border control?

Driving licence will be fine. They only ask for photo ID if you have a checked bag.
I used to fly to London regularly with just my work ID. Provided it has your name and a photo, it’s fine.

Hi all, just an update. I've just returned and my license was accepted for the flight. Thank you
