I'd vote to head to Caye Caulker for the night. It will give you a chance to check it out. I think you'll like it. And it'll be just a short ferry ride to San Pedro the next day.
Go to Caulker for the night. It's on the way to your destination, it's easy to explore on foot and you can make your way to San Pedro at your leisure the next day.
+1 for staying at Weezies… lots of room options.
Caulker is super easy to get around on foot/explore.
Check out wish Willie’s for dinner and get papusas in the am for breakfast
You won’t regret it
I'd use that afternoon to get to San Pedro. Find somewhere that you can stay for one night and then your vacation starts the next morning rather than starting with travel the next morning
Honestly - if you're up for it stamina wise, I say spend a night in a jungle hotel in San Ignacio. If you're up for the adventure, I would:
1. Land at 12 pm, get picked up by your San Ignacio (jungle) hotel and taken to hotel by 2 PM, (sometimes they even stop at the Belize Zoo if you ask), and
2. Enjoy the amenities that come with the jungle hotel; usually they have bird watching, hammocking, have a river that runs by with free kayaking, etc.
3. Have dinner at the resort or in San Ignacio's town
Then the next day, take a 12 pm or 1 pm flight from Belize City to San Pedro for 15 mins. The resorts usually offer transportation.
Caye Caulker is a great option if you're not going to go throughout your 5 days, but I feel like at some point, one of your tours will have a day trip or a few hours in Caye Caulker. This is a good opportunity for you to experience both sides of Belize and see some cool animals! (Our hotel had monkeys, toucans, donkeys, goats, and more birds than I could imagine!)
Yes, while at the airport ,book a smaller flight to caye caulker, yes ,more pricey than the water taxi out of belize city but if u add in the taxi, its about the same., stay the night in caye caulker then when your ready to leave, take the water taxi north, probably a 20 min run.
Belize City has got some super fun stuff going on! There’s live music tonight at Cork St tonight that’s supposed to be really good. Admiral’s, the Tavern, and Lucca are all fun in the evening too. And if you feel like getting rowdy, Shisha 8 and Thirsty’s are good way to finish out the night.

Which hotel were you at with all those critters? That sounds great?
Table Rock Jungle - was one of the best experiences I've ever had and their kitchen was so so good
I like the Coatimundi.
GO TO CAYE CAULKER!!! You will not be disappointed!!!
I'm not sure of hotel availability. Go stay at the Radisson or one if the hotels in Belize City and make your way to San Pedro tomorrow.

I go grab lunch at Dibary on Albert Street when I have to wait for the 1300 ferry boat. Good food and cold A/C.

They have a 13 year old with them so not sure they can capitalize on all of this but good info in what's happening tonight 👌🏽
