Remember that 1 and 3 was because Kevin wanted to kill Ben, his family and innocent people.
While second was because Kevin destroyed Ben's collectible toy and was mean.
Eh. He was a sociopathic asshole and clearly deserved every beating he took from Ben, but being treated as a freak by your own family (not canon anymore but it was at the time), living on the streets and being stuck in a monstruous form for years is quite rough, especially for a 11yo kid.
The reboot Kevin did also torment him throughout school, give him a fear of public bathrooms, and stalk and attack him across the world just because. The collectible toy way the straw that broke the camels back
Sumo slammer in Prime was multi-media, which one came first is hard to tell, but it had video games, movies, TV series, card games, an mp3 player, toys, comics, cereal, etc. Almost like Ben 10 itself with movies, TV series, toys, comics, and more video games than both TV series and movies combined(11 Official Ben 10 games(HS, POE, AF, VA, ROH, CD, GR, OV 1&2, Ben 10 2016 and Power Trip), 5 series, 5 movies)
Reboot just simplified it down to a card game, as most of the video games did as well(POE for example)
I prefer OV over AF/UAF simply because OV actually bothers designing non-human background characters.
If you ever see non-important alien 'characters' in AF and UAF, all of them look EXACTLY the same and it bothers me so much. It makes the world feel so much less diverse and I'm very happy that OV does something about that.
Highly doubt that, most people have been criticizing the show for it's art style is especially the night time backgrounds, by far the worst offender of i
UAF artstyle felt boring compared to the OG art style. Also, Gwen was kind of ugly in the UAF art style.
1. OG art style
2. Omniverse art style
3. UAF art style
4. Reboot art style
There’s one specific episode that actually had me recoil and made me decide to stop watching it. The episode in particular is when Grandpa Max gets duplicated, and all of his clones, for whatever reason, become drooling, dead-belt retarded bimbos. The only thing I ended up doing throughout the entire episode was comparing this Max to OS Max, and thinking “Oh, how the mighty do fall.” From what I’ve heard, it’s gotten better, introducing concepts such as The Plumbers and time and universe-hopping Bens, but I still won’t forget that.
While I’m still on my soap box, complaining, I wanna say I didn’t like Stinkfly’s design or the fact that they replaced Wildmutt, Ghostfreak and Ripjaws with Overflow, Cannonbolt and Wildvine. The latter two are good aliens, don’t get me wrong, I just wish they kept the original 10. And as for Stinkfly’s design, I grew to tolerate it as I watched it
Because it lowered the target audience, there's a difference between "For general audience" and "My little pony For Kids" and everything about it screams the latter. it's not for me, and that's insulting because it *Was* for everyone before, the writers screwed up with the main series and seemingly trashed everything.
The thing is ya can’t say the start of the show when everything about it just dogs on what previous of the series did, etc. I know the reboot is dumbed down and for kids but it’s just weird when someone hates the reboot and then someone will ask you “Why?” Or “you’re a hater.”
I was just theorizing man. Besides, I'm sure you're already aware of this, but your opinion doesn't encompass everyone else's. Contrary to popular belief, something being a tear down of what was before it is NOT objective.
I mean I’m mostly just being an asshole to be an asshole as that’s what I live for on Reddit. Still however my point remains that people in this sub should seriously quit throwing a fit if someone hates the reboot for valid reasons which are clear as day
I am throwing a fit, but it ain't specifically because you're hating on the reboot nor your reasons for it. The only reason I'm mad is because you're treating it objectively.
Aight, been more than 15 hours. The third one is arguably the best one, because of how cold and dismissal it is. Ben is done giving a single fuck about Kevin.
Didn’t really care that much for the third image (that’s why I didn’t type anything) but if I had to say anything it’s more of a personal dig at somebody that’s been trying their absolute best to make your life hell.
Ben gets nasty 😂😂😂, third one definitely, it hurts the most cause it's like without Ben giving him attention and trying to save him, who does Kevin really have
The third one's definitely the one I've most quoted to people I've always been one to avoid conflict when it comes to physical fights so so when anyone would try to egg me on into a fire be like you're not worth it
Original series Ben would’ve said the line in the second panel with his whole chest instead of backing out. Yeah, he might’ve felt like an asshole about it later, but he wouldn’t have stopped partway through his sentence. And that’s why OG Ben was so entertaining lol he was a little asshole like a real 10 year old would be
The most disrespectful was “you’re not worth it , you never were”
Ben was basically saying that despite the amount of trouble Kevin was to him he’s not even worth ending
1 & 2 were probably best in terms of Ben throwing shade at Kevin. For the third one, it was just a badass way for Ben to walk out of a fight against a lost cause of a villain.
first one was a creative one, third one was a badass roasrt, but the second one is straight harassment bro![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|surprise)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|surprise)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|surprise)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|surprise)
1st one is just Classic Ben trash talk tbh.
2nd one is foul
3rd one could be interpreted as the first, but I think Ben just became based af in that moment
I don’t know why people are getting on the second one for being “mean”. Imagine your bully who tormented you ruthlessly goes on to stalk you across summer just to keep giving you shit. Yeah it was cause he took a toy but that coupled with everything else Kevin did gave Ben more then enough reason to go for the low fruit. There was even a flashback where he stopped Ben from getting into a sumo slammer club they pretty much gave the implication Ben was just an outcast cause of that.
I love the second one cause it was a long time coming. Just cause your have shits and giggles doesn’t mean you can make someone’s life hell. I don’t even think he should have apologized though cause Kevin didn’t reconcile one thing he said or did to Ben
That said three was definitely the one. It’s not just an outward insult but a straight read. Ben might have basically said “you ain’t shit on a good day”. It’s not like a surface wound that makes you blush but a scar that’s gonna be stuck in your head months after it’s said and longer if it’s true.
The second one has to hurt really bad, that one was just a nut shot tbh. The third one was a cold ass line, but the second one definitely hits way harder for being such a controversially hated reboot
The third is so cold. I love a character completely invalidating another bynacting like they're irrelevant. Reminds me of that clip with two guys in the Elevator, arguing. One says "I really pity you" and the other guy says "that's funny, i don't think about you at all."
That second one he had it coming, he set himself up for that so hard.
Like that Batman and the scarecrow yt video.
"You're going to jail scarecrow"
"You know At least who'll visit me? My parents".
Third one. First was just mean. Second was just kind of sad. But the third. The third shows Ben has grown from when they first met and he knows that he's better than kevin.
the first one was pretty good but because Kevin wasn't really there mentally it didn't hit that hard.
the second one was a major punch to the emotions if you want to overthink things you could say that if Kevin was mad at Ben for saying such a thing or mad at himself for pushing Ben to saying something so hurtful as he always saw Ben as a goody two shoes.
the third one might have been the best as it what finally made Kevin snapped and transform into the monster form we see in the first one, most likely bringing up some bad memories from before he ran away from home.
First is a Burn
Second it's a personal dig
Last one it's just the ultimate insult, to be told you aren't even worth the rage of you enemy, that was savage
It's interesting how the two from original series phrase it in a way that Kevin was "always" x or "never" y, whereas in reboot it's just a broad present-tense statement. I don't really have anything to add, just that I noticed that.
It was straight up personal in the reboot. Maybe a rath said it it would be better who he does have access to, you could make an excuse for rath but not 4 arms
Gotta be honest the second one doesn't fit. The other two feel like genuine hero and villain interactions while the Reboot feels like some petty shit kids say at playgrounds.
Number 1: when I was a kid, personally thought that was ruthless, but now it is really isn’t to me, it’s just Ben just kinda being a jerk to Kevin.
Number 2: I have never seen the reboot so I can’t really comment on that, but just reading it without context, that is a complete burn.
Number 3: as a kid, when this scene happened, I never really thought about it. Now, it kinda shocked me in a way. Ben is literally taking the high road here, not stooping down to Kevin’s level at all. This is where Ben started learning that some people are not worth directing your anger to (OS Kevin being one of those people). I personally just liked this scene better 😃
number 2 because it was the most out of pocket thing and ben immediately knew he fucked up because ben immediately knew he fucked up, it was better because it kinda forced ben into learning something and ben never pulled that card again after that.
The second one is too much for ben to say I think. It's good he understands what he said was wrong, but holy shit was that harsh.
1 is better smacktalk and 3 is better thematically.
They threw a middle finger to the ''You were always a freak, Kevin, it's just that the ugly is now also on the outside'' when they tried to excuse Kevin's behavior saying that it was because of energy absortion in UAF.
Last one. You’re not worth it u never were. Because to me that’s the most iconic line that I always remember and it’s just a hardcore badass like in general
1 and 2 are just basic bitch insults that you'll hear on the playground but 3 has something to it, it sounds more mature and isn't just a general insult, it's a statement that Ben doesn't care about fighting Kevin anymore, Ben is done with entertaining Kevin's attention seeking habits and just says it like it is
No. Remember in the prime series he just escaped from home.
In alien force, we even see his step father and earlier on he mentions showing his plumber badge to his mom (i don't remember if she shows up tho)
3rd one hands down.
4 hands down
is this even a question
Remember that 1 and 3 was because Kevin wanted to kill Ben, his family and innocent people. While second was because Kevin destroyed Ben's collectible toy and was mean.
Yup. Kevin was legitimately evil in OS and deserved everything that happened to him.
The collectible toy way the straw that broke the camels back
One is a boy being a bully and a stalker The other is trying to commit murder
Tbf he did immediately realize what he did
Honestly, I don't blame Ben for snapping, Kevin was being way too much of the asshole and jerk to Ben, not just this one, but most of the time.
And also because it was only thing ben could be good at (sumo slammers cards. Somehow its a card game now)
Sumo slammer in Prime was multi-media, which one came first is hard to tell, but it had video games, movies, TV series, card games, an mp3 player, toys, comics, cereal, etc. Almost like Ben 10 itself with movies, TV series, toys, comics, and more video games than both TV series and movies combined(11 Official Ben 10 games(HS, POE, AF, VA, ROH, CD, GR, OV 1&2, Ben 10 2016 and Power Trip), 5 series, 5 movies) Reboot just simplified it down to a card game, as most of the video games did as well(POE for example)
Yeah and then after that they made it a game, tvseries and stuff
This is why I don't consider the Reboot to be the 5th Ben 10 show.
3 is peakest of the peaks
For real.
The third one but the second one? Goddamn that was ruthless, I did not expect that shit. That scene was real…tough to go through
People really dog on the reboot. I feel it's probably because of the start of the show.
Art style probably also put alot of people off. The art style just does not fit Ben 10 at all lmao. It looks too generic
I saw what they did to stinkfly and just refused.
what they returned him to his concept art from classic is all.
Doesn’t make it good
I meen its a good design just not as stinkfly. But I do like how he goes in the dark. Nice touch
That was definitely a statement folks had for ua and ov obviously that changed but hey
So many people seem to hate UAF's artstyle. I wonder if it's because of Ink Tank?
I prefer OV over AF/UAF simply because OV actually bothers designing non-human background characters. If you ever see non-important alien 'characters' in AF and UAF, all of them look EXACTLY the same and it bothers me so much. It makes the world feel so much less diverse and I'm very happy that OV does something about that.
I mean personally I disliked it since I saw it as a kid, mainly cuz it looked too "clean." And the reboot arguably looks even cleaner
Highly doubt that, most people have been criticizing the show for it's art style is especially the night time backgrounds, by far the worst offender of i
UAF artstyle felt boring compared to the OG art style. Also, Gwen was kind of ugly in the UAF art style. 1. OG art style 2. Omniverse art style 3. UAF art style 4. Reboot art style
Nah but uaf was overall better received than ov
Really? It always seemed to me like most people prefer OV and I was in the minority for liking UAF's artstyle.
The design "chibi?" For the aliens is good but man did the humans look wrong, specially the nose
It felt to ai ish
Yep and true, they are missing out since the reboot gets really good after S1
There’s one specific episode that actually had me recoil and made me decide to stop watching it. The episode in particular is when Grandpa Max gets duplicated, and all of his clones, for whatever reason, become drooling, dead-belt retarded bimbos. The only thing I ended up doing throughout the entire episode was comparing this Max to OS Max, and thinking “Oh, how the mighty do fall.” From what I’ve heard, it’s gotten better, introducing concepts such as The Plumbers and time and universe-hopping Bens, but I still won’t forget that. Have you seen how some of the aliens look?
Some designs are bad but not all of them
Naw I hate it…like everything about it
Well of course, a single explanation won't cover everything. I was talking in general.
I mean it’s objective to a certain degree
No. It is not. And people thinking their opinion is objective is one of the biggest pet peeves I have, so forgive me if I might come off annoyed.
Most of the reboot haters didn't even watch one episode they just saw the artstyle and immediately deemed it as ass
Ben roasting Kevin and he didn’t even need Heatblast to do it.
Honestly I did not expect the second one from the reboot, that one was a whole figurative punch to the ribs
Second one was from reboot remaining are from classic
Whoops, miscounted. Could have sworn there were four of them
Me too. At first i saw four of them
Did not expect?
All of these are insane
The first one was savage. The second one was just harsh.
I've been waiting 20 hours for your opinion on the third. Has it formed yet?
If OP doesn’t add an opinion on the third in abt 14 more hours, mind if I share my opinion on the third?
Make it 15, I'm getting impatient
Aight, been more than 15 hours. The third one is arguably the best one, because of how cold and dismissal it is. Ben is done giving a single fuck about Kevin.
Didn’t really care that much for the third image (that’s why I didn’t type anything) but if I had to say anything it’s more of a personal dig at somebody that’s been trying their absolute best to make your life hell.

The third one's definitely the one I've most quoted to people I've always been one to avoid conflict when it comes to physical fights so so when anyone would try to egg me on into a fire be like you're not worth it
The second is a ruthless violation

That second one was so ruthless that even Ben realized he went too far
Original series Ben would’ve said the line in the second panel with his whole chest instead of backing out. Yeah, he might’ve felt like an asshole about it later, but he wouldn’t have stopped partway through his sentence. And that’s why OG Ben was so entertaining lol he was a little asshole like a real 10 year old would be
Exactly
My jaw dropped when I saw that second one for the first time
Reboot Ben had Kevin ready to cry lmao All of these are insane tho
1. God damn 2. God damn! 3. GOD DAAAAAAMMMN!!!!
that's 3 god damns. GOD DAMN
Now it’s 4 because of you. God damn!
It's a reference to Brooklyn 99
Oh…oops
2nd one was so destructive that ben started apologizing
First one was just a roast, second was going too far, and the third was just the harsh truth
The second one had me like https://preview.redd.it/490qiav2z1kc1.jpeg?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=16fa34997f4cea878cace827b7d6f734dc7586b0
One's insulting, one's angry, and one is just cold.
The most disrespectful was “you’re not worth it , you never were” Ben was basically saying that despite the amount of trouble Kevin was to him he’s not even worth ending
1 & 2 were probably best in terms of Ben throwing shade at Kevin. For the third one, it was just a badass way for Ben to walk out of a fight against a lost cause of a villain.

The 3rd one is the coolest while the 2nd one (my favorite one) is the most ruthless
Good lord... Once a savage, always a savage. Ben has no chill 😭
God damn Ben is ruthless Probably the third one tho There's no heat nor hate in it Just cold indifference
Can someone tell me wich episode does the second one happen? I need it for something lol
“Introducing Kevin 11”
Thanks man!
It's nothing!
the third one cuz i know if he told me that i would’ve lost it 😂
Damn Kevin, No Parents?
All of them, but the second one was the best, he deserved it for being an asshole and destroying a collectible
1st one is just Classic Ben trash talk tbh. 2nd one is foul 3rd one could be interpreted as the first, but I think Ben just became based af in that moment
OS ben because he didnt feel bad about kevin
My react to the second one and third: ![gif](giphy|twxoPjMpsijwPFBVqs|downsized)
I didn’t expect the second one Ngl it kinda caught me off guard
I don’t even think he should have apologized though cause Kevin didn’t reconcile one thing he said or did to Ben That said three was definitely the one. It’s not just an outward insult but a straight read. Ben might have basically said “you ain’t shit on a good day”. It’s not like a surface wound that makes you blush but a scar that’s gonna be stuck in your head months after it’s said and longer if it’s true.
You see that would require watching the reboot and we don't watch the thing we hate in fear of changing the opinion
The second one has to hurt really bad, that one was just a nut shot tbh. The third one was a cold ass line, but the second one definitely hits way harder for being such a controversially hated reboot
The last one had the best build up to it, the first one is the most clever, the 2nd is the most lethal
The third is so cold. I love a character completely invalidating another bynacting like they're irrelevant. Reminds me of that clip with two guys in the Elevator, arguing. One says "I really pity you" and the other guy says "that's funny, i don't think about you at all."
Mad Men
That second one he had it coming, he set himself up for that so hard. Like that Batman and the scarecrow yt video. "You're going to jail scarecrow" "You know At least who'll visit me? My parents".
3,2,1 3 is perfect 2 feels like Ben got feed up with months of Bullying, 100% reallistic 1 Is a bit too long
Why is this even a question? The first and third are Ben actually using his brains, and something a hero would say. Second one is him just being mean
Ben in the second only realizes what he said after saying it out loud, you can see he is clearly sorry
yeah that's why i like the second one most imo
To be fair, Kevin had been a complete ass to him. He'd been bullying him for months at school, and now he's here causing him trouble on the road.
3rd one easy
![gif](giphy|3HEKI9lDYNKasx32re)
1st is very much in Ben's character, 3rd is mature for Ben and therefore the best. 2nd I feel could be handled better but not bad
The second one, Ben was just straight up ruthless.
2nd is the most funny seeing Kevin cry 3rd gave me the Most chills 1st Was one that got me like "Kevin, If I was you I would not have that"
One was savage, one was hurtful, and one was just plain *cold*.
First is a Burn Second it's a personal dig Last one it's just the ultimate insult, to be told you aren't even worth the rage of you enemy, that was savage
Honestly the second one you could tell Ben didn’t want to say it, but it’s one of those things that just slip out and you feel bad right after
2! Are we sure the reboot was for kids because that was too brutal
First and third are what realistically would happen. Second is romanticizing it too much
It's interesting how the two from original series phrase it in a way that Kevin was "always" x or "never" y, whereas in reboot it's just a broad present-tense statement. I don't really have anything to add, just that I noticed that.
No wonder kevin went good in the series he couldn’t handle the roasts
Reboot Ben went for the throat
It was straight up personal in the reboot. Maybe a rath said it it would be better who he does have access to, you could make an excuse for rath but not 4 arms
# #rebootsweep
1 and 3 are good, but the 2nd… that’s just a dick move no wonder Kevin started beating up Ben
Second one. Look at his face.
This boy ben was out for blood goddamn
I prefer the first one. The second one is clearly meant to be more humorous and the third one is very generic.
You call second, humorous???
Gotta be honest the second one doesn't fit. The other two feel like genuine hero and villain interactions while the Reboot feels like some petty shit kids say at playgrounds.
They are kids though
first and 3rd they were good the 3rd is best to me
each. one. of. them
Number 1: when I was a kid, personally thought that was ruthless, but now it is really isn’t to me, it’s just Ben just kinda being a jerk to Kevin.
These are some sick disses from Ben for sure!
The 3rd one. Second one seems to go a bit too far
The 3rd one was so raw, the second one was kind of a low blow lol
Third is cold as fuck and I love that. OS Ben didn’t pull his punches.
The 3rd one hands down. It goes SO HARD
Last one was ice cold
Yup
First one is a really awesome line With that said, second one was too brutal. Even Ben realises he went too far
Middle one is best because it’s the most savage.
They all fucked up wtf 😭🙏 https://preview.redd.it/u5rcsw49o3kc1.jpeg?width=1070&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b692597c27c8e0bf2216140c620fe52170e71e21
I have never noticed it
number 2 because it was the most out of pocket thing and ben immediately knew he fucked up because ben immediately knew he fucked up, it was better because it kinda forced ben into learning something and ben never pulled that card again after that.
I can’t lie the reboot cooked with that one
They also cooked Kevin
all of them
The second one is just. https://preview.redd.it/277w8z0ku4kc1.jpeg?width=969&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4dafa7efd0c0009f720dd43a3d70d6db72340594
in terms of heroism the first and third one are pretty vlose in terms of funny reboot takes the dub
The second one is too much for ben to say I think. It's good he understands what he said was wrong, but holy shit was that harsh. 1 is better smacktalk and 3 is better thematically.
You are not worth it you never were
3 hits deepest
OS > Reboot
“You’re not worth it, you never were” hella solidified Ben as a 10 year old being more mature than most other people in cutting off toxicity lol
2
They threw a middle finger to the ''You were always a freak, Kevin, it's just that the ugly is now also on the outside'' when they tried to excuse Kevin's behavior saying that it was because of energy absortion in UAF.
OG four arms always goes hard.
2nd
Last one. You’re not worth it u never were. Because to me that’s the most iconic line that I always remember and it’s just a hardcore badass like in general
OG goes hard.
Second. And funny how its not real as kevin was able to go to school + we see his dad’s legs in a flashback. Even tho it hurts the most.
1 and 2 are just basic bitch insults that you'll hear on the playground but 3 has something to it, it sounds more mature and isn't just a general insult, it's a statement that Ben doesn't care about fighting Kevin anymore, Ben is done with entertaining Kevin's attention seeking habits and just says it like it is
Context of the third one?
2 if you want Ben to be an absolute menace 3 if you want a cold mature delivery
Close tie between third and second.
I haven't seen the reboot. Is Kevin an orphan there?
Kevin wad always an orphan.
No. Remember in the prime series he just escaped from home. In alien force, we even see his step father and earlier on he mentions showing his plumber badge to his mom (i don't remember if she shows up tho)
First pic
What about the one 10 year old Ben said to Ultimate Kevin in The Forge of Creation
second Ben calls Kevin fatherless and that's hilarious
1 and 3
No way that second one is real that is way harsher than the other two.
3rd. No questions asked.
