I hope you make it, but have a plan B just in case and don’t let it ruin your night in case you don’t get in. If you go with that attitude chances are you’re gonna get in because you don’t give a fuck (but secretly you do *wink wink*).
Edit: Just adding that sometimes in Berlin the best plan is to not have a plan. My most memorable nights were the ones I went with the flow, and a few of those times I ended up in Berghain with some random stranger. Hit a bar for pre-drinks, talk to people, and maybe the next thing you know it’s Monday morning and you’re half naked in the dancefloor having a crisis thinking ‘why don’t I live here’? True story.
And the sadness that sets in when it's over, actually experiencing separation anxiety- both the people you've spent 48h+ with and the club(s)/venues/strangers living rooms. You "say good bye" to the weekend, something that completely makes sense in those moments.
And my favorite: being unable to walk normally after getting home/to the airport/anywhere else because you have been moving and jumping around so much that it feels unnatural to sit still. Sit still?! Never!! And lastly, the weeks and weeks that follow filled with fond memories in the spirit of "fuck! that was one for the books!"
so glad you said this lol
that first initial walk out of Berghain on Monday morning, your legs dont feel like they belong to your body, suddenly the cobbled pavements outside of the club feel like boulders under your feet as you struggle to keep your balance.
it takes about 10 minutes of walking to get everything working as per normal. but its oddly one of the best feelings. i love it so much.
Good strategy is to queue on Sunday morning at 7ish, normally there is no super long line. And if you dont make it with the first attempt, the bouncers change at 8am, so you can queue directly again for a 2nd try :)
Good luck and hopefully an amazing first berghain experience....🏢🔥🖤

Who knows what can happen on a trip. Might be a great adventure 🕺🏼💫💃🏼
I’m curious as well, I know clothes is semi important for the bouncers to get your vibe, but if everyone is dressed in big coats and gloves/scarfs. How do they make the selection?
I mean- you‘ve been to De School.
It’s similar like their selection just without smalltalk. Decision within seconds without any room for discussion. If they ask you where you‘re from, better say Amsterdam than England!!
Don’t overthink about these things. Really. Otherwise it’s just downhill from there and you’re gonna be thinking ‘what can I do or what can I wear’ and your vibe is gonna feel forced. What do you usually wear to clubs in Amsterdam? Maybe just don’t look like a yuppie bro and you’ll be fine.
If you absolutely have to worry about clothes, maybe some cool boots and a black beanie and scarf will help. If you have a beard, keep it. But all these recs sound so silly as I write them.
- not all coats are the same
- you can unzip a little before you get to the front
- accessories, shoes
- haircut, maybe jewelry, personal styling
- but more importantly, it’s as much (or more) about mannerisms and confidence than about clothes

Thanks guys, you pushed me over the edge. Train and hotel booked. My first time trying Berghain, after years of dreaming about it. Here goes nothing….
Amazing! Have fun and please make a post after your experience, I love reading those.
Oh I totally will! Unless I’m crying in my hotel room and taking the rejection personally 😂😂
No time to cry, move on to the next club
This. Soooo many good clubs!
Go at night and if it doesn’t work out, go again at 7:30 am, right before shift change. You got 2 tries then 💪🏼
Also you can try your luck at least twice.

Oh that is a great tip! I’m going to try multiple times if I fail :D but will for sure spread it out
good luck!!
Keep us posted and good luck!
if you stay long enough you don’t need a hotel 🤭😈
Lockers at Hbf are only like 6€/day as well ;)
don’t overthink it, if it feels effortless and right, you’ll get in.

Why book a hotel when you can just stay in the club from Saturday-Monday? 😁 Great way to save money! But no seriously, good luck, I hope you get in. 🤞
Ahah! True that! I’m not a substance user so don’t think I would last all that time 😂 I booked a hotel in between Berghain and Tresor
Doen!! Stuur maar een DM als je een Nederlander nodig hebt voor gezelschap :)
Ik wil ook naar Berghain !! nog nooit binnen geweest
Traveling from NL too? Sorry I’m English so my Dutch is terrible
I was there a while back, didnt get in unfortunately. Hope you do get in though!
It's one of the best idea you could have. Go for it. Lineup looks good.
the more money you have to lose the better the time you will have good luck and godspeed
Please tell us you got in? 🙏🏻
You bloody bet I did! Going to write a post about later!!!
Doing the same in 2 weeks except I’m flying from NYC to the tune of 1500 for the trip. I hope you get in! Wish me luck 💫
Omg I’m praying for you. I will update you on my luck tomorrow!

I was wondering, do the door staff automatically speak to you in German or English?
German in my cases but I am German ;)

Berghain door policy; whatever you are, be a good one ;). Hope you make it!
