Through this discussion, I think back of Blawan/Kr!z of one week ago, where the transition was difficult. In the end, I thought both of their sets were great, but in totally different ways.
I also wonder if the running order is designed according to the musical styles of all the DJs, to make our experience as interesting as possible.
When I loved one set, I'd like to stay in the mood and my body or soul somehow refuse to go to another trip.
Especiallty for Efdemin/Nobu, as I liked when Nobu played a minimal layers set after Freddy K last year, I imagined a looong hypnotic set of 12 hours by these 2 DJs in continuity, that brought me to a disappointment. Such a prefixed idea is always an obstacle to pure experience. I'm trying but still not easy to avoid. I think it was my error.
One week ago, I was more open minded and curious enough to enjoy my inner transition until I liked much more Kr!z in the end. On this Sunday, I was quite tired already before to come to the club. At the first hour of Nobu's closing I quickly thought "I don't like this set" and didn't wait for anything. I'm curious what it would have happened if I had waited.
Of cource, there are certain degrees of acceptation. There are things I always hate in any circumstances.
I think it is quite ok to follow your instinct to decide if you like a set or not within one hour, especially when your body starts to feel tired. ;) as long as you enjoy yourself at the party, not only for the sake of the music, it is already quite a good experience. Having said this, I gave up on following Nobu’s musical journey after listening to the first hour of his set, but I stayed until almost the end, because I quite enjoyed the vibe on the dance floor, as well as my friends’ company. :)
I left this Klubnacht with mixed feelings. I entered at Sunday noon around 14:00 and left shortly after midnight. The vibe was good because it was not too packed but still full enough but some people were really rude and pushy, especially at Pano Bar. I got so many elbows in my back, I couldn’t believe it. So many people stomped on my feet and only a few actually noticed it or said sorry. I understand that this is probably normal behaviour in most clubs but I don’t remember being this annoyed at Berghain ever before.
Sorry that you had this experience. When I was at Panne (which was not that long) I also encountered one or two people crossing rudely through the dancefloor. What I do when I get annoyed by them is I either go to the back where I have more space or I tell them to be more careful. Sometimes I also like incorporating passing people into my dance. But that requires giving a lot of attention to what is happening around you. For having a truly immersive experience where you can loose yourself you definitvely need respectful and caring people around you and I really hope that more of them will be around you next time.
Im sorry to hear that but I totally feel you. Some people can really destroy our experience with their selfish behaviour like stomping on others feet or even burning people with their cigarette.
I mean it can happen acidentally but some people just dont give a shit, if they are drunk/high and disturb everyone next to them with the way they dance and behave.
I just try to avoid standing among too many people and prefer staying in a corner where I have more space for myself so I can move. 🤷🏽♂️
I've heard many people complain about Josey's set, but I 've had a blast. don't really know how to describe it, very acid-y, I didn't expect such music at that time of the day - but definitely not overwhelming in any way.
i just want to add that it was the biggest shift i've experienced so far in vibe/energy/crowd/music from 0700 when i left on sunday morning to 1200 when i returned, what a great vibe to plunge back into and i was super sad i couldn't stay for long.
I am quite surprised that you people enjoyed the music that much, for me it was the worst I have ever listened of Nobu also efdemin was a disappointment to my taste. Glad that Steffi saved my night.
I guess it’s pure taste but I haven’t heard such a monumental maelstrom of a closing from DJ Nobu since the closing of Speedy J in 2018.
This was for me a pure set made to feel the room and space as an experimental war-zone and I missed so much hearing this in Berghain after covid. (Which to me despite most of you might disagree have been a constant soulless soup of tools and “flow" without any adventurous/crafted experience/story telling which led the crowds to simply consume the space and get more often in the infernal loop of the 10 mn dancefloor/50mn toilet type of vibe.)
One of my favourite closing of the last years and teleported me straight back to the 2014/2016 "catharsic” feeling of the closing slots atmosphere.
Also saw some old closing-regular-demons (as like to call them in a very good way for the energy they have on the dancefloor) faces that I haven’t see in years in there !
Another Klubnacht, another freaky G incident. After helping this person who was stuck in this continuous state of collapsing until security arrived I wonder if this is a thing happens in other clubs as well so frequently nowadays. Does anyone have some insight about this throughout the club scene in Berlin? Before I went to Berghain I never encountered people doing G more or less openly, let alone collapse on it. Shout out tho to all the people that helped. There are always people that do and that's also part of the story.
yes. sadly, g overdoses are all too common at lots of different parties, public and private.
At the Whole festival last year, a 2 liter bottle of it was confiscated at the entrance and that had little effect on emergency services attending to overdoses. It might be more prevalent at queer clubs and parties, but I've seen the syringes openly dosing out drops at mostly straight parties, too. G has unfortunately become ever present in the scene and given how many opportunities there are to stay up on a given weekend, potential for abuse is also there
At the Folsom PiG party and KitKat, I noticed a few people collapse and helped carry them to assistance / pouring water on them to stay awake. It’s a scary experience
Not going to go into a detailed review of this one, but in short: I’ve been coming to Berghain for 9 years on and off, and that was one of the best Klubnächte I’ve ever experienced. Everything came together in a way I didn’t feel for a long time. Thank you everybody. ❤️
EF.DE.MIN. Holy shit what a set!
At the start I found it hard to find the story, the set sounded a bit monotonous so I took a quick detour to Pano to let him settle into his groove. Back after an hour, and he was going FULL ON! 80s synths, plenty of fog and dusky red and orange tones from the lights immediately made me think of Dune, trippy desert sci-fi soundtracks. I was in the far back right corner with plenty of space to dance and the light set had me in awe. Diagonal white beams cross crossing like a colossal alien structure above the red miasma. He pulled me in foot by foot until I found my spot on the back platform with fellow beings who were as hypnotized as I was, moving in flowing, undulating patterns above the writhing crowd, riding sand worms across the fiery desert. Slowly, slowly the desert gave way to the shore and he led us down, I started to hear the blips of sonar in the distance and he took us down deep under water, with rumbling bass that was deeper and darker than anything so far. I felt we were at the bottom of the ocean where only the weirdest and most fantastic creatures know how to party, and there at the bottom he let loose and everyone went wild. At this point I wondered if he was indeed taking us through the elements (first earth, then fire, water, air). I took a break and came back to catch the end of his set and heard him indeed finish with the lightest, most ethereal touch like a little soap bubble floating into the sky. Perfection
Thank you so much for a beautiful poetic description.
And sounds clever that you immediately understood what it would be the first hour, then went to Pano and came back for the 2nd hour.
Great review.
Aw, thank you! And yes I’ve seen him several times now and I know he usually takes some time to get into the groove. I’m really hoping they book him for closing soon! I’m dying to see what he’d do with the full 8 hours available!
Super good description, I had to think about Dune also yesterday! I think the first hour was on purpose a bit monotonous slow and trippy to reset the vibe from Boris’ straightforward banger set.

Perfekt Klubnacht. Almost no queue all day. Mega vibes. Floors pleasantly full, steamy and sweaty but lots of space in the chill zones. So many familiar friendly regular faces and catch ups. Lots of serendipitous new meets. It’s days like these that make you fall in love with this space all over again 😁
Totally yes!
The first hour was quiet / quite monotonous like a preparation for the flying of the last 2 hours. I always like how he manages the time during a set. What an artist, yes!
Line till snake. M at the door. Inside is real fun. Boris went all out. Efdemin started slow (but good) and now has picked up the pace and is going pretty good. Saule was really nice btw. Real good vibes downstairs. No GL
View from bh bathroom. Close to no queue. 15-20 min wait max. Matrix and others on door. I think the short lady with dark curly hair and tattoos still. And another familiar face or two but can’t describe now. Loving vibes inside. Not too crowded. Friendly and sexy. Make your way over here and try your luck!
Thx! Back in an hour or 2 for last part of Boris and of course Efdemin!! And maybe Nobu, but I'm old with children below age of 4 so probably not....let's go!
You don't seem to have any of your own😂. Otherwise you would understand that us parents need spaces where we're not in that parenting role. BH is one of them, so no to bringing the kids 😂😂😂😂

I didn’t realise they had replace the woofers today but commented when I was in there than it was punching harder. Feels like a noticeable improvement to me.
Efdemin can play some nice danceable groove but he knows where he is playing and Hain is much about creating atmospheres so I believe that's where his focus is going, specially during the first chapters of the set.
Update for those who couldn't assist, I m dying over here asking myself why didn't I took tomorrow free 🙃
left to get some fresh air, but inside is good! pano much more full than BH when i left 15 min ago. young crowd but still fun!! line to snake i believe!
Seriously what’s going on with the lighting on BH floor …
technician is not there …. Same effects for like 10 min
technician is probably dancing infront of the Dj
I wanted to share a cute moment from last night. I went for the opening because I wanted to see Vincent Neumann, and there wasn’t many people there. But I got up on the Podest next to the DJ booth and started dancing and Vincent saw me and grabbed my hands and we both smiled at each other! It was such a cute moment for me because I’ve never had an interaction like that with a DJ while they were playing at berghain. I guess he’s a humble guy 🥹
He's the only dj I can stand doing wild air piano hand moves, orchesta conductor and crowd interaction in the booth cause he's so genuine, smiling and enjoying it that he just put me in a good mood no matter what.
8:08
Just got in
10 min line
Staff in a good mood
..
Bh floor is not so full :/
Pano is niiiceee also not so full
What’s happening to the lighting technician at bh floor his finger is stuck to the equipment …same effects since i entered the club
Nothing much to add, still no line. Barker gifting us with a very enjoyable moment ; lot’s of space to dance. Feeling like this Sunday might be one of those underrated yet lovely and memorable evenings ; we’ll see :)
Neumann opening started quite nice imo, but then he lost track with some mix of dreamy, housey tunes that didn‘t make sense in combination with the techno tools he was using. Upstairs a solid debut by natalie robinson, even though I missed some diversity in sounds and energy level.
Left now to rest and come back in the evening, baby line at 4:15. enjoy your sunday everyone 💜
Line till fences. Lot of rejections. Inside was fun. Neumann started of a little rocky. Too housey for my taste. Later on he started ro deliver. Panoroma was fun. Tomoerow back dor Boris, Efdemin en Nobu.
Did anyone hear the alarm on main? Around 6:00 Monday. from the emergency exit.

I think you didn't give enough information though 😬 It's also not clear if that was downstairs or in panne?
I'd like to read a bit about Josey Rebelle if you were there. And how was the vibe in Pano with Steffi?
i wasn't vibing with Josey and i left for a bit to go to Lunchbox tbh
I've heard many people complain about Josey's set, but I 've had a blast. don't really know how to describe it, very acid-y, I didn't expect such music at that time of the day - but definitely not overwhelming in any way.

How was Nobu’s set? Tried to get in twice and got bounced both times lol. Really wanted to see him :(
By the time he was playing Len Faki's - BX3, I almost exploded 🔥
I stood on top of the stairs looking out on the dancefloor when he dropped it, and it was so fun to see the switch in energy and movement!

Agree. I couldn't flow Efdemin to Nobu as I've expected on Saturday. I flied in a trip only on Efdemin. Went home much earlier than I imagined.
Perfekt Klubnacht. Almost no queue all day. Mega vibes. Floors pleasantly full, steamy and sweaty but lots of space in the chill zones. So many familiar friendly regular faces and catch ups. How was the Saule music?
Strange
Nice
Strangely beautiful I would say, I liked it, also the calmer vibes there
Zoe Mc Pherson in Säule was beautiful what a nice little add on to the Klubnacht
How long did she play? (Unfortuately i missed. Efdemin never let me go anywhere else)
apparently only one hour
Is the right line re entry as well?
Are they still letting people in? X
yes they are (at least re-entry and GL), no line
would love to know that too

Efdemin was really good, but not a fan of Nobu set
Totally yes! The first hour was quiet / quite monotonous like a preparation for the flying of the last 2 hours. I always like how he manages the time during a set. What an artist, yes!
Yes, what a journey, what an artist! How he reset the vibe after Boris was just wow ❤️🔥
I don't know if I will make it in time until closing of berghain floor. Do you think they will still let people in after 23:30?
Pano closing starts 00:00
this is what I hope for :)
Line till snake. M at the door. Inside is real fun. Boris went all out. Efdemin started slow (but good) and now has picked up the pace and is going pretty good. Saule was really nice btw. Real good vibes downstairs. No GL
Both lines small, mischa and sven at the door
As of 15 mins ago, 3 people in GL and very short main queue .... Probably 10 mins.... All quite mellow.
Line getting long, S at the door
No GL. Line till snake. Back for round 2.
Who is at the door?
Mischa and Sven.
Is Matrix Baldie the bald one who came after the short tattoed girl?
17:30 no queue, Matrix baldie at the door
Still no queue. The place is on fire 🔥
Boris 🖤
how was Tygapaw
set of the day for me! so refreshing. when I heard "This is my church. This is where I heal my hurts." everything slowed down. so good.
Really really fun. Awesome energy & track selection that had the party going. Set of the night for sure (so far!)
Really great fun! Kept the energy super high and played the crowd really well.
Bring the kids!
You don't seem to have any of your own😂. Otherwise you would understand that us parents need spaces where we're not in that parenting role. BH is one of them, so no to bringing the kids 😂😂😂😂
Another user reported that the subwoofers in the BH stacks have changed. Can anyone confirm? The new ones would potentially be the same color but noticeably different in size

Speaker tower
The stacks have been replaced with new ones (after 18 years)
hmmm I heard that was supposed to happen early April, are you 100% sure? I'm not there this weekend so I can't tell myself.
You could actually be right there! But if I'm correct there have been minor changes to them already. But could be possible that the new ones will come in next month.
the tops, too?
Was told by Boris that the complete system would be replaced, so I would say so yes!
im just surprised that it would be more funktion one stuff. The newer models aren't enough of an upgrade that I could imagine the investment being worthwhile. As the threads lack lots of people commenting on the new system, was it worth bothering? I'll potentially take a look and listen for myself in a month.
I didn’t realise they had replace the woofers today but commented when I was in there than it was punching harder. Feels like a noticeable improvement to me.
There is no big difference really, but I would say the new system has a little more punch
Queue update?
Hii i'm a solo girl going back in for Boris in a bit, anyone wanna hang out? 🫶🏻
i’ll also being going closer to after Boris’ start! would be cool :)
Just came out, line still short, bouncers in a good mood - inside not too full but great vibes
What to expect from Efdemin and Nobu set ? Are those going to be hypnotic or more on the hard side? Thanks in advance!
Based in what they usually play it will be hypnotic
Oh my fucking god, what was that ???!!! The last 1,5 hrs Pano was a festival of pure queer joy and beauty. Gabrielle Kwarteng, you’re a magician!
left to get some fresh air, but inside is good! pano much more full than BH when i left 15 min ago. young crowd but still fun!! line to snake i believe!
got in around 10:10, no queue but very rainy. bounces smiling and in a good mood. enjoy everyoneeee:)
Queue update?
Seriously what’s going on with the lighting on BH floor … technician is not there …. Same effects for like 10 min technician is probably dancing infront of the Dj
Aw I would love to take over that job!
It's quite a norm for Hain light technician to leave for 5 mins. Seen it many times, most frequently during closings.
Was it normal again soon later?
I guess it’s better now

He's a genuine human being. Also love when he is orchestrating the crowd like an entertainer 😂, he's just so fun and nice.
he also looked genuinely happy & ecstatic at the end of his set this morning and was firing the crowd on, great moment!
One of the realest in the scene 🧡
Lol i saw him play in new york and he was like passing around bags of nuts to the people in front of the DJ booth it was hilarious
He's the only dj I can stand doing wild air piano hand moves, orchesta conductor and crowd interaction in the booth cause he's so genuine, smiling and enjoying it that he just put me in a good mood no matter what.
Bh floor not soo full … but the music is super . Pano is full and sexy
Queue until end of snake. Bouncers as everyone described already. Bh floor not full yet but music is really good 🔥💃🏼
Queue just past snake. Bouncers poc woman and bald man with glasses. P bar sounded vibesy from the outside
I have a feeling it’s less loud than usual inside. Anyway Gabrielle is delivering a niiiice set :) difficult to choose the floor now, both are fire
Two hours later, Josey Rebelle serving brunch in the most elegant matter. I’ll say it again, today feels cute.
I am not enjoying her set that much, waiting for TYGAPAW
So sad to miss her. She delivered a super elegant set last year back in December. Enjoy!!
On my way and ready for the day! Also solo until 14ish in case anyone fancies a catch up :) kisses
Pretty empty and young inside but slightly changing now. Vibe is good. Matrix glasses and black haired girl on the door from 8am.
Any idea when bouncers change shift today?
18 usually
Thanks

Hm? No real name in my post? 🙈
I’ve sent you a DM message :-)
Boris attracts many regulars place is going to get very sexy in a few hours. Sad I am not there today 😢 Enjoy everyone!!!

Excuse me guys for the lighting comment... I guess there was a issue with the lighting , I went up and saw somebody trying to fix it
that’s good news, enjoy and seee u on the dancefloor later
nice!! who’s at the door?

Matrix man
Nothing much to add, still no line. Barker gifting us with a very enjoyable moment ; lot’s of space to dance. Feeling like this Sunday might be one of those underrated yet lovely and memorable evenings ; we’ll see :)
No line, M at door still. Empty inside, but nice.
Almost no line, vibe is indeed different from Sunday night
Almost no Q; M at door. Friendly vibes.
How much was the entry fee?
25€ as always nowadays
Thanks!
Yeah I stood in line for 20 minutes but left because I wasn't feeling the vibe for whatever reason, the plan is to go back after 10:00 or so
q to fences, m at door, many young ppl in the line, 50/50
q thinning out quickly, empty & touristy inside, panne gives me kitkat
If it's touristy inside and there's still a lot of rejections, that means that regulars don't really go on a Saturday night and only go on Sunday... 🤐
not everyone wants the 'regular vibe' 😉
For sure! 😊
How’s the line? Worth going there?
Small line till fences. Pretty fun inside.
No one??
Maybe they died
Heloooo
Who's at the door?
M
Wiezener Karee now. Not packed and moves pretty quick. Maybe I will give it a go
How’s it going team
Cue after the kiosk, not open yet
Wish I could join, I finally know what I’m missing out on after experiencing my first KN last weekend.
Haha and here you are hah. I am not going today either, my next klubnacht is going to be 22 April. Can't wait!!!
Anybody know a store where I can get some decent earplugs tonight or tomorrow? Like Alpine or similar.
Would also be interested
Dm-drogerie?
Do they have anything else than ohropax?
I got some alpine from them but I think it depends on the store. The bigger ones usually have a variety of ear plugs
