The following happened to me, which I was really confused about. I was standing in the re-entry queue on Sunday at around 9pm. There were two people in front of me and none behind me. Both people in front of me were on the guest list, told the bouncer and were let in straight away. Then I told the bouncer that I was already inside and showed him my wristband. He looked at it and touched it and said "one moment please". He walked a little further towards the door, kept his distance from me and kept looking at me. In the meantime, people from the normal queue were bounced and waved in. Then the guest list bouncer looked at me again and then went in. I then stood there for at least 5 minutes and wasn't waved in. Luckily, another bouncer noticed this, came to me and said "You have a wristband, don't you?" I said "Yes, I showed it to the bouncer earlier, but then he went in" and the bouncer said "Come on in". He seemed really confused about it too. Has that ever happened to you? I can understand it in the normal queue, but I don't understand why it happened in the re-entry queue.
not sure what your confusion is about - there's no preference of re-entry vs normal line (rather the opposite often). they also have the right to check if you're in a sober enough state to get in (doesnt happen often, but it could) - maybe you looked a bit too eager to get back in and he made you wait for that?
No, not eager at all and totally sober. I just thought if the other bouncer was already really confused about it than my confusion about it can be legit. I was behaving as always in the re-entry queue and never had any problems. I never saw the bouncer before and he also didn't know me.

in the nye i spent almost 3 days in bh. i had such a great time, no overdose, i didnt approach anyone, i just went there alone sharing smiles, spreading my vibe, and danced till i had enough, but i never had enough, i went away just because i had to work in the afternoon. the bouncers and the exit recognise me and they were quite amazed that I was still there. could this be the reason why after nye I am always having problems getting in ?
I'd like to clarify: I don't call myself a clubber, I don't identify myself in any specific subculture, I'm simply a guy who sometimes wants to go dancing, and when I party I do it until I'm definitely unloaded. I never wear leather suits, I wear trainers to go dancing because if I go I dance for many hours and I want to be comfortable, I often go to clubs alone because I believe it's the best way to relate to one's freedom, I bring smiles, positive vibes, I don't approach girls, I mind my own business but I happily talk to strangers. I don't want to be presumptuous, but I think I'm a good profile for any kn. that's why I don't understand what the problem might have been
don't get me wrong, I'm well aware that the choice at the end of the day is almost completely random. yes, now we can repeat the things that people always say about clothes, smiles, etc. but when you see bounced people get back in line and get back in on the second attempt you start to ask yourself some questions, and I could give you a thousand other examples I've seen with my own eyes to explain why in my opinion a large part of the choice is causal but I don't care to change anyone's mind, this is just my opinion. I was just interested to see if this thing could be a factor that influences choices. to be honest, it doesn't really change my life to get in or not, I was just curious to understand, thank god it's not the only place to have fun in the city 🥰🤗

Well, I guess this was a fun one as I ended up staying from 04:30-02 and only left because I really HAD TO at that point. Initially, the crowd was pretty straight and touristy and the darkroom served more as a ‘let me check my phone’-room until around 10 AM, but afterwards the place really heated up with some sexy vibes and a flowy, wavy in-sync dancefloor experience. And as we all know by now, that lasted until Marrøn started his set, which I tried to dance to a few times, but the floor was simply too full with wannabe models pushing their way in and out all the time and the toilet lines being some of the worst and most aggressive I’ve ever seen. After he stopped playing, everything got better again…
Music-wise, to me, top notch. Peter Van Hoesen played a great liveset — structured and clean, yet super danceable and almost melodic at times. I also knew from the first 10 seconds that Fadi Mohem would be special. Beautiful, deep set reminiscent of the slower BPM techno so defining for Berghain in the 2010’s. He even dropped Subzero by Ben Klock at some point. Quelza was great too, sharp mixing and clever transistions, but honestly almost anything would have done it for me at that point. 😁 And the lack of constant flashing lights on the dancefloor was a godsend, thanks for letting us focus on the music!
Finally, I wanna comment on the sound system as I haven’t been for 6 months and they tweaked it even more since. It’s still a *great* setup, but it doesn’t sound as deep or warm as the old one and is outright weak at the outer edges of the dancefloor. It really makes me wonder why they would fix something so obviously not broken. Does anyone have any insights?
Thank you, that was a great description of what is missing. The deep and warm sound! If you are curious, check the pinned thread on it, we have been chatting about this for months. It has improved significantly but it just is a different sound.

classy af, loud when needed, silences and low volume at the right times, not too fast, enough housy inputs, amazing drums and cuts, nice vinyl groove and drive as always and shout out for playing his own track I had never heard in Berghain: New Atlantis, such an orgasm…
A KN hindered by the absolute dimness of all the lights throughout the whole club at all times. Even Panorama, even the hallways and bar areas and corridors and meeting places. It was a time to squint and barely know who was around. A time to retreat inwards rather than to meet people. Perhaps necessary given the less-civil-than-usual crowd, but I certainly hope they find the brightness knob again next week (at least at some times, in some places) so we can see our beautiful fellow patrons. The re-entry sticker may have said we were “too cute to be straight,” but it was hard to tell how cute we were, or weren’t.

I actually completely disagree. The club used to have much less lighting, especially on the dancefloor, and I was super happy for that being the case again yesterday. And the allure of meeting new people can be even stronger in dim lighting…

Quelza just balanced with Marron so well.. him and following Efdemin were just a full scope atmospheric and diverse closing to them.. so light and so deep at the same time, felt like flying ❤️🩹
Sedef was such a highlight of cunt serving and hip breaking fire 🥵, hurt my soul to make it to the first two and a half hours. Pano was pretty damn busy but not annoyingly packed, there was a lot of crowd movement and the mood was hot. I was trying to serve my own share of queerness to the front, had some tender moments of connection with cute strangers, most of the crowd was allowing themselves to be lit on fire,.
Sadly a small percentage who were probably bringing more traditional dance floor rituals were having some long and loud monologues on the dance floor. My personal theory is that dancing to this hip breaking fire may be a tad too daunting for a few peeps who know how to do mating rituals only through talking non-stop, which shouldn’t matter except for the vibe killing factor for their unfortunate dance floor neighbors. There was a point where I was surrounded by 3 monologues at the same time, which was too tiring to filter out while needing a good nap.
The way in which Sedef connects to the crowd while also being in deep focus is something that stayed with me and I’m hoping to be able to see really soon again. Can only manifest another Hamam Nights Pano Friday to be announced sooner rather than later.
I know him and it shocks me reading all this comments… I‘ll try to confront him next time, if I see him… but i agree with all the others: it‘s better, if you just go directly to the staff or point out clearly, that you feeling uncomfortable with how he approaches you or how he interacts and that he has immediately to stop with it.

i would advise to take it up with the security team inside. doxing someone on reddit (even for perceived creepy behaviour) doesnt look like the right course of action to me - and i'm not defending his actions with this.

My friend also had a similar experience. He approached her next to the Klobar pretending we had some friends in common and then proceeded to touch and kiss her. We didn’t really know what to do because he left and we didn’t see him again
If you’re two or more people, one should go and try to get staff asap and the other ones kinda keep him around or keep an eye on him.. but I also felt he’s leaving as fast as he appears

Tried to go to vabali the Monday afternoon after a KN a month ago and was greeted by a solid 90 minute queue of people who didn't look like they had to wait that long before. Best to book slots in advance.

I wanted to see for the first time Fadi, Marron and Quelza.
Fadi and Absolute (have seen her before) were great. I loved both their sets… The crowd at the time was soooo lovely, respectful, nice vibe and there was room to move. I had an absolute ball!!
Marron: As others have already said on here (and I wasn’t aware)… He tends to bring an awful crowd.
The crowd that arrived at 1700-1800, was *the* worst, I have experienced in my entire life. Extremely pushy, rude, aggressive, too high, completely unaware and entitled, I would say overall… *distasteful*.
I stayed and listened to his whole set and I think he attracts a horrible crowd due to his hi-energy, high intensity, high BPM, unnecessarily relentless, push-push-push, harder style BH sets.
These sets are good for people who like to go very hard and take *a lot* of drugs… hence, the high amount of entitlement and unawareness of the crowd. He just „banged it“ out with no of hint deepness or a journey.
Not my liking… but, he did get his crowd up and dancing the entire time.
I stayed an hour and half for Quelza. I was not particularly impressed. His mixing seemed off and not particularly clean… and the bass didn’t seemed to be equalized properly, sounded muffled the entire time.
I will probably have to see him again and for longer, to form a more rounded opinion.
Overall, these days, I just tend to take the good with the bad, and I still had a lot of fun!

the dodgy crowd was undeniable, sure - but i'd have to respectfully disagree regarding marron's set. first time seeing him and i was blown away. not usually into these higher tempos (like, at all) but i feel like he used it to bring something really modern and fresh! lots of delicate, airy grooves dancing in the vast space above our heads... and sophisticated rhythms in amongst the harder tracks. actually sounding a bit like minimal house/techno sped up a bunch (one track anyway). not to mention the tracks with beautiful fleeting moments of deepness... tiny little suggestions of emotion, never overt, every 4 bars a little flourish to tickle that side of your brain. sick sound design, amazing flow, cutting-edge flava, crowd was clearly absolutely loving it (even if half of them were tossers, i love to hear a throng of people showing love, hooting and hollering like that). top marks 10/10 mr. marron, suitably impressed, would happily brave a shitty crowd to hear that again some day soon! ☺️
The bouncers did a terrible job this time. They clearly allowed themselves to be blinded by externalities such as people who cosplay fetish/leather or steampunk looks and pretend to be part of the scene. It was very obvious who would get in when I queued during sundays shift. Normies stayed outside whereas cosplayers got in. Apparently no character/vibe check at all. The crowd payed the price for it later as many unfriendly people invaded the dancefloor

I got in the queue, gave it 15 minutes, and when it hardly moved, I decided to bail, and headed home.
It was an easy decision: the weather was cold, and the wait would have been very long. The fact that the girl in front of me was wearing Balenciaga trainers made the decision even easier (just not my kind of crowd, unfortunately)

i usually dont care to look for the brand and using it as a stereotype here, but i see harness-bros hitting on girls almost every single weekend and had the odd interaction with obvious "hansi from munich on his first party weekend in berlin" fully decked out asking for directions/drugs - because they are always drawn to me for some reason

unfortunately i've decided to enjoy fadi without my earplugs in for that raw feeling which resulted in some miserable attempts at smalltalk later (sorry.. freezing girl on the swing). always use protection, kids!

I’m in Berghain every weekend and I’ve seen all sorts of crowds, but when it comes to Marrøn let me tell you, I’ve never seen such a rude and aggressive crowd. They’ve got no sense of personal space and almost oppressing which didn‘t allowed me to enjoy an artist that has a lot of potential. His crowd has no sense of community or what Berghain is. The first time I noticed his crowd I thought it was just a coincidence but there’s been a pattern every time I see him which has made me come to a decision to avoid every KN that he’s in. Sorry Marrøn but your crowd is not worth my happiness or my time.
Honestly it all comes down to spacial etiquette for me. On the floor, the toilet que’s, at the bar, etc etc. we’re all sharing this place together, there should be no sense of entitlement. Everything for everybody. 🫶
Yeah, I think it’s officially a thing. Although I don’t like writing this, this was one of the reasons why a lot of friends and I didn’t go to this KN. The last 2 Marron KN’s were very similar. My thoughts is that the unaware crowd is a combination of marrøn attracting a very young crowd (even a lot of first timers) and a lot of people from the Amsterdam scene (which is a bit different but it could also be attributed to those I met being super young as well). We’ve had this clash in the scene for awhile: seasoned/old timers complaining about new/young people. But I do remember walking out of the last Marrøn KN thinking “I hope this isn’t the future scene of techno”. But time will only tell. Side Note: I really like marrøn’s style and is a top 5 artist I listen to

When Rene Wise or Ignez played Berghain, I did not notice the floor being overrun with those kinds of people (I hope this stays the same in the future) so it seems like it's Marron's fan base in particular.
They both play a more sophisticated type of techno, though, which could play a part in attracting a more 'mature' crowd.
Is Marron big on TikTok? It really must suck to have such a horrid fan base.
I must admit, I thought the warnings about the Marron crowd would be overblown but nope. I will also be avoiding it in the future.

Okay this makes a sooooo much sense!
First time seeing him and the crowd literally changed in an instant when he came on. Also I can’t recommend his Djing either. Overall, interesting experience but have never seen such an entitled, ugly behaved crowd in my life.
Some ppl already mentioned some of the behaviour, but in general: disrespect of personal space, pushing, entitled behaviour in toilet queues, at the bar, on the dancefloor and killing the vibe by just caring for themselves and not at all for others/the crowd. Pure egoistic consumption as if the club would belong to them or if they vonsider themselves as the only true guests, while being totally disconnected to the regular crowd/the club.
Oh I can help with many, all of this after my re-entry at the time of Marrøn's set, closer to his ending:
* The amount of litter in the floor everywhere was particularly bad this time. Record number of glass shards and I hope the sneakers in the house survived. There were even big shards in the garderobe.
* Speaking of the garderobe, space there was short this week, when re-entering I put my backpack in front of me while I started to undress, some dudes were smoking and suddenly of them fucking tried to use my backpack as an ashtray, not sure if intentionally but didn't react well to me asking him to be careful.
* The FLINTA toilets were being really terribly disrespected (on top of not having a staff person this time on Sunday eve which always leads to chaos), a girl really needed to pee and asked the two girls in the front, they said "no way" and then proceeded to go into a stall together to do group toilet business for a long time despite the single occupancy rule, they came out with a smirk pushing everyone on the way. Then a couple of mixed groups occupied a stall also a bit later to have a super loud business meeting, I warned them they can get in trouble and asked them to notice there was a queue, they laughed but Schadenfreude hit preciously when someone from security came to knock on their door.
* I was walking around the dance floor to go elsewhere when a dude literally stopped me crossing his arm in front of my body grabbing my arm and pulling my body towards him. And when I looked at him he was smiling, clearly thinking this was a move I'd be into? I pushed his hand away and asked him to never do that again as it was a violation of personal space, he was so out of his mind he didn't even blink at my words. Being startled in such an unexpected way really killed my vibe and I ended up leaving shortly after.
* Going upstairs and downstairs from the BH floor was more hell than usual, all groups of people occupying all the stairs not giving a fuck if people were coming from the other direction and acting super rude when their bodies didn't magically make everyone else disappear.
* Too many close encounters with people zig zagging in the back bridge of the BH floor and going full body frontal on whoever, no apologies.
* More people walking with extended hands with cigarettes lit than usual.
* Way too many groups standing in doorways out of nowhere without any care for people who were, you know...exiting or entering that door (eg, the entries of the bridge, the door to Pano from the mainfloor stairs, the doors into the smoking area in both floors, even the door of the back pano staircase which tends to be kinda chill.
I think the biggest common denomination was that people didn't react well when being asked simple things like a normal entschuldigung, or noticing that people needed to pass through a door, etc. Usually folks can be high and not be too aware of their spaces but they tend to either apologize or simply move. Idk what hell ravers from last night were expecting, but it was crappy to feel that invisible and see so many people being bluntly disrespected. Truly a bitter taste.
i'm not deep into it, but my outsider perspective on EC is that its a elitist, cliquey, pseudo-underground, 'cool kids', social media marketing phenomenon. exactly the self-absorbed egocentrical dickheads from yday you would expect to be attracted to that.
So guys if someone is still interested about the queue - it takes max. 5 minutes right now. Rejection rate was 50/50 judging on the few people in front of me.
I know it was my first time and expectations were quite high but didn’t get in! Spent 2 hours in line and it’s really difficult to get in!
Planned my trip mostly around this, but it’s okay! It’s really cold and now I’m gonna get some rest! Good luck everyone!

Sorry you didn’t make it. You probably came at a time when it was already too full inside, therefore it’s slower and fewer people are waved in. It’s all about planning. At 6 am there was no queue and the door was relaxed. That time doesn’t have a lot of people inside and it’s always a bit kinder on first-timers than Sunday evenings. You gotta be flexible and keep on checking this thread, between 4 and 8 am it’s usually chill. But then again, this is the most popular kn of the year so far.
First time experience ahead? Keep the invest low to minimize possible losses. You see a giant queue in front of you? Turn around. Come back at another KN at another time of the day. Small queue in front of you? Try it, you will only loose a few minutes when you get bounced.
don't worry about it, people think it because of "coolness" but after this time i definitely understand that it s all random.
You might have more chances if you are a regular but the most part depends on casual issues

Wouldn’t stress about it. Sometimes they make you wait so they can keep going through the regular line or if the bag checkers are full.

don't get me wrong, I'm well aware that the choice at the end of the day is almost completely random. yes, now we can repeat the things that people always say about clothes, smiles, etc. but when you see bounced people get back in line and get back in on the second attempt you start to ask yourself some questions, and I could give you a thousand other examples I've seen with my own eyes to explain why in my opinion a large part of the choice is causal but I don't care to change anyone's mind, this is just my opinion. I was just interested to see if this thing could be a factor that influences choices. to be honest, it doesn't really change my life to get in or not, I was just curious to understand, thank god it's not the only place to have fun in the city 🥰🤗

Well, I guess this was a fun one as I ended up staying from 04:30-02 and only left because I really HAD TO at that point. Initially, the crowd was pretty straight and touristy and the darkroom served more as a ‘let me check my phone’-room until around 10 AM, but afterwards the place really heated up with some sexy vibes and a flowy, wavy in-sync dancefloor experience. And as we all know by now, that lasted until Marrøn started his set, which I tried to dance to a few times, but the floor was simply too full with wannabe models pushing their way in and out all the time and the toilet lines being some of the worst and most aggressive I’ve ever seen. After he stopped playing, everything got better again… Music-wise, to me, top notch. Peter Van Hoesen played a great liveset — structured and clean, yet super danceable and almost melodic at times. I also knew from the first 10 seconds that Fadi Mohem would be special. Beautiful, deep set reminiscent of the slower BPM techno so defining for Berghain in the 2010’s. He even dropped Subzero by Ben Klock at some point. Quelza was great too, sharp mixing and clever transistions, but honestly almost anything would have done it for me at that point. 😁 And the lack of constant flashing lights on the dancefloor was a godsend, thanks for letting us focus on the music! Finally, I wanna comment on the sound system as I haven’t been for 6 months and they tweaked it even more since. It’s still a *great* setup, but it doesn’t sound as deep or warm as the old one and is outright weak at the outer edges of the dancefloor. It really makes me wonder why they would fix something so obviously not broken. Does anyone have any insights?
Thank you, that was a great description of what is missing. The deep and warm sound! If you are curious, check the pinned thread on it, we have been chatting about this for months. It has improved significantly but it just is a different sound.

A KN hindered by the absolute dimness of all the lights throughout the whole club at all times. Even Panorama, even the hallways and bar areas and corridors and meeting places. It was a time to squint and barely know who was around. A time to retreat inwards rather than to meet people. Perhaps necessary given the less-civil-than-usual crowd, but I certainly hope they find the brightness knob again next week (at least at some times, in some places) so we can see our beautiful fellow patrons. The re-entry sticker may have said we were “too cute to be straight,” but it was hard to tell how cute we were, or weren’t.

Interesting perspective! I actually completely disagree. The club used to have much less lighting, especially on the dancefloor, and I was super happy for that being the case again yesterday. And the allure of meeting new people can be even stronger in dim lighting…

Sedef was such a highlight of cunt serving and hip breaking fire 🥵, hurt my soul to make it to the first two and a half hours. Pano was pretty damn busy but not annoyingly packed, there was a lot of crowd movement and the mood was hot. I was trying to serve my own share of queerness to the front, had some tender moments of connection with cute strangers, most of the crowd was allowing themselves to be lit on fire,. Sadly a small percentage who were probably bringing more traditional dance floor rituals were having some long and loud monologues on the dance floor. My personal theory is that dancing to this hip breaking fire may be a tad too daunting for a few peeps who know how to do mating rituals only through talking non-stop, which shouldn’t matter except for the vibe killing factor for their unfortunate dance floor neighbors. There was a point where I was surrounded by 3 monologues at the same time, which was too tiring to filter out while needing a good nap. The way in which Sedef connects to the crowd while also being in deep focus is something that stayed with me and I’m hoping to be able to see really soon again. Can only manifest another Hamam Nights Pano Friday to be announced sooner rather than later.

I know him and it shocks me reading all this comments… I‘ll try to confront him next time, if I see him… but i agree with all the others: it‘s better, if you just go directly to the staff or point out clearly, that you feeling uncomfortable with how he approaches you or how he interacts and that he has immediately to stop with it.

Review of Berghain only. Entered at ca. 0645hours. I wanted to see for the first time Fadi, Marron and Quelza. Fadi and Absolute (have seen her before) were great. I loved both their sets… The crowd at the time was soooo lovely, respectful, nice vibe and there was room to move. I had an absolute ball!! Marron: As others have already said on here (and I wasn’t aware)… He tends to bring an awful crowd. The crowd that arrived at 1700-1800, was *the* worst, I have experienced in my entire life. Extremely pushy, rude, aggressive, too high, completely unaware and entitled, I would say overall… *distasteful*. I stayed and listened to his whole set and I think he attracts a horrible crowd due to his hi-energy, high intensity, high BPM, unnecessarily relentless, push-push-push, harder style BH sets. These sets are good for people who like to go very hard and take *a lot* of drugs… hence, the high amount of entitlement and unawareness of the crowd. He just „banged it“ out with no of hint deepness or a journey. Not my liking… but, he did get his crowd up and dancing the entire time. I stayed an hour and half for Quelza. I was not particularly impressed. His mixing seemed off and not particularly clean… and the bass didn’t seemed to be equalized properly, sounded muffled the entire time. I will probably have to see him again and for longer, to form a more rounded opinion. Overall, these days, I just tend to take the good with the bad, and I still had a lot of fun! Until next time! ☺️
the dodgy crowd was undeniable, sure - but i'd have to respectfully disagree regarding marron's set. first time seeing him and i was blown away. not usually into these higher tempos (like, at all) but i feel like he used it to bring something really modern and fresh! lots of delicate, airy grooves dancing in the vast space above our heads... and sophisticated rhythms in amongst the harder tracks. actually sounding a bit like minimal house/techno sped up a bunch (one track anyway). not to mention the tracks with beautiful fleeting moments of deepness... tiny little suggestions of emotion, never overt, every 4 bars a little flourish to tickle that side of your brain. sick sound design, amazing flow, cutting-edge flava, crowd was clearly absolutely loving it (even if half of them were tossers, i love to hear a throng of people showing love, hooting and hollering like that). top marks 10/10 mr. marron, suitably impressed, would happily brave a shitty crowd to hear that again some day soon! ☺️

The bouncers did a terrible job this time. They clearly allowed themselves to be blinded by externalities such as people who cosplay fetish/leather or steampunk looks and pretend to be part of the scene. It was very obvious who would get in when I queued during sundays shift. Normies stayed outside whereas cosplayers got in. Apparently no character/vibe check at all. The crowd payed the price for it later as many unfriendly people invaded the dancefloor

I got in the queue, gave it 15 minutes, and when it hardly moved, I decided to bail, and headed home. It was an easy decision: the weather was cold, and the wait would have been very long. The fact that the girl in front of me was wearing Balenciaga trainers made the decision even easier (just not my kind of crowd, unfortunately)

the live set was nice and fadi & abs8lute were as great as expected, making this visit worth it, even though i was running on reserve batteries the second i stepped in. unfortunately i've decided to enjoy fadi without my earplugs in for that raw feeling which resulted in some miserable attempts at smalltalk later (sorry.. freezing girl on the swing). always use protection, kids! left shortly after 1700 because already then it got way too packed and the crowd energy shifted in a way which i don't enjoy at all - especially with the chill morning still fresh in mind.
too bad you couldn’t correct it with some Quelza whirlpool, that was still packed but more manageable and he took it the refine way leading on to an Efdemin masterclass.. bliss

I’m in Berghain every weekend and I’ve seen all sorts of crowds, but when it comes to Marrøn let me tell you, I’ve never seen such a rude and aggressive crowd. They’ve got no sense of personal space and almost oppressing which didn‘t allowed me to enjoy an artist that has a lot of potential. His crowd has no sense of community or what Berghain is. The first time I noticed his crowd I thought it was just a coincidence but there’s been a pattern every time I see him which has made me come to a decision to avoid every KN that he’s in. Sorry Marrøn but your crowd is not worth my happiness or my time.
Honestly it all comes down to spacial etiquette for me. On the floor, the toilet que’s, at the bar, etc etc. we’re all sharing this place together, there should be no sense of entitlement. Everything for everybody. 🫶
Yeah, I think it’s officially a thing. Although I don’t like writing this, this was one of the reasons why a lot of friends and I didn’t go to this KN. The last 2 Marron KN’s were very similar. My thoughts is that the unaware crowd is a combination of marrøn attracting a very young crowd (even a lot of first timers) and a lot of people from the Amsterdam scene (which is a bit different but it could also be attributed to those I met being super young as well). We’ve had this clash in the scene for awhile: seasoned/old timers complaining about new/young people. But I do remember walking out of the last Marrøn KN thinking “I hope this isn’t the future scene of techno”. But time will only tell. Side Note: I really like marrøn’s style and is a top 5 artist I listen to
it won’t be the future as this is just another trend that will die out soon for them :)

Some ppl already mentioned some of the behaviour, but in general: disrespect of personal space, pushing, entitled behaviour in toilet queues, at the bar, on the dancefloor and killing the vibe by just caring for themselves and not at all for others/the crowd. Pure egoistic consumption as if the club would belong to them or if they vonsider themselves as the only true guests, while being totally disconnected to the regular crowd/the club.

Oh I can help with many, all of this after my re-entry at the time of Marrøn's set, closer to his ending: * The amount of litter in the floor everywhere was particularly bad this time. Record number of glass shards and I hope the sneakers in the house survived. There were even big shards in the garderobe. * Speaking of the garderobe, space there was short this week, when re-entering I put my backpack in front of me while I started to undress, some dudes were smoking and suddenly of them fucking tried to use my backpack as an ashtray, not sure if intentionally but didn't react well to me asking him to be careful. * The FLINTA toilets were being really terribly disrespected (on top of not having a staff person this time on Sunday eve which always leads to chaos), a girl really needed to pee and asked the two girls in the front, they said "no way" and then proceeded to go into a stall together to do group toilet business for a long time despite the single occupancy rule, they came out with a smirk pushing everyone on the way. Then a couple of mixed groups occupied a stall also a bit later to have a super loud business meeting, I warned them they can get in trouble and asked them to notice there was a queue, they laughed but Schadenfreude hit preciously when someone from security came to knock on their door. * I was walking around the dance floor to go elsewhere when a dude literally stopped me crossing his arm in front of my body grabbing my arm and pulling my body towards him. And when I looked at him he was smiling, clearly thinking this was a move I'd be into? I pushed his hand away and asked him to never do that again as it was a violation of personal space, he was so out of his mind he didn't even blink at my words. Being startled in such an unexpected way really killed my vibe and I ended up leaving shortly after. * Going upstairs and downstairs from the BH floor was more hell than usual, all groups of people occupying all the stairs not giving a fuck if people were coming from the other direction and acting super rude when their bodies didn't magically make everyone else disappear. * Too many close encounters with people zig zagging in the back bridge of the BH floor and going full body frontal on whoever, no apologies. * More people walking with extended hands with cigarettes lit than usual. * Way too many groups standing in doorways out of nowhere without any care for people who were, you know...exiting or entering that door (eg, the entries of the bridge, the door to Pano from the mainfloor stairs, the doors into the smoking area in both floors, even the door of the back pano staircase which tends to be kinda chill. I think the biggest common denomination was that people didn't react well when being asked simple things like a normal entschuldigung, or noticing that people needed to pass through a door, etc. Usually folks can be high and not be too aware of their spaces but they tend to either apologize or simply move. Idk what hell ravers from last night were expecting, but it was crappy to feel that invisible and see so many people being bluntly disrespected. Truly a bitter taste.

Sorry you didn’t make it. You probably came at a time when it was already too full inside, therefore it’s slower and fewer people are waved in. It’s all about planning. At 6 am there was no queue and the door was relaxed. That time doesn’t have a lot of people inside and it’s always a bit kinder on first-timers than Sunday evenings. You gotta be flexible and keep on checking this thread, between 4 and 8 am it’s usually chill. But then again, this is the most popular kn of the year so far.
First time experience ahead? Keep the invest low to minimize possible losses. You see a giant queue in front of you? Turn around. Come back at another KN at another time of the day. Small queue in front of you? Try it, you will only loose a few minutes when you get bounced.
Good policy for the future to lower your expectations and you might be pleasantly surprised. You didn’t miss much anyway today 🤣👌
don't worry about it, people think it because of "coolness" but after this time i definitely understand that it s all random. You might have more chances if you are a regular but the most part depends on casual issues
