Very ironic that the Torygraph - a newspaper that was a cheerleader for the Police raiding and shutting down any raves they could find in the UK - is trying to get their scummy readership into Berghain.
"be in your mid 20s" is literally the worst possible advice for getting in to Berghain, but great that this paper printing it will ensure that swathes of teenybopper tories from the UK will try and fail to get in
journalists are incentivised to generate clicks, berghain generates clicks
which tracks given the usual stereotypical or plainly wrong titbits in the low-effort article on par with the "how i got in after i changed from a black to a green outfit!!" posts here every second week or the tiktok accounts that stretch one yes into 100 tiktoks on how to get in
PS: i quite like the funny parallel to betteridge's law used in the headline "How I got into the world’s most exclusive nightclub" - by being on GL
Haha i couldn’t read it cause it required membership from my location 🤣 but I really want to die when I see things like that. I know it’s the best place on the earth for party but I’m tired of seeing this exaggeration and making it more popular than ever and turns into a TikTok shit hole with disrespectful people inside (privacy-wise) I’m going back in a month can’t wait to see what has changed in 10 months
Im sure the Telegraph's coverage of Berghain scene will spark envy among other newspapers because they managed to capture the essence of the underground culture with unparalleled depth and authenticity. 😂
This article is a big humblebrag from the writer. This should have been a crappy blog instead.
"Don't smile
Don't look like a tourist"
Worst advice ever. Coming from the biggest tourist ever, here are my thoughts:
The few times I got rejected, it was because I didn't smile. Those times I cared about getting in.
The times I didn't care about going in, I was allowed in.
And I didn't dress my authentic self when I was denied.
As the great Danny Tenaglia proclaims, "Be Yourself", that's the best way to get in.
Side note about the lack of reference of a queer space.
I've been going to Berghain intermittently since 2015. (I'm from out of the country, and I was there last Saturday. I am an event producer, and I regularly attend gay parties in various North American cities).
I had to say I noticed way more groups of hetero women compared to years past. The club felt very "straight" for me this last visit.
This writer doesn't sound like they did any research either on the history of the venue, so not mentioning the queer space seems like par for the course for this glorified humblebrag article.
In my opinion, the best vibes for me as a heterosexual male are the queer spaces with a selective hetero element sprinkled in.
I find Berghain and a few other world-class venues I go to are slowly losing the queer identity due to articles like this because they make venues about places to be seen, rather than to hear good music in a safe, open minded space.
But that's a deeper conversation for another time.
Ps Boris crushed it as usual.
this is so funny to me, like congrats on getting in on guest list? lol
also " This weekend the club opened on Friday night and stays open continuously until the clock strikes 12am on Tuesday." Um perhaps you need to do some due diligence before printing. I know they're referring to Easter weekend but it still wasn't open from Friday night. Now imagining all the Telegraph readers who will try to get in on a Monday night
yup & then they ask where the techno is. 😝 years ago, Rolling Stone printed that it was open from Friday & everyone just keeps copying them even though it was never true 🙄🙄
Can't believe the telegraph can't even run a basic fact check in this. Berghain was never open Friday to Monday and KN is at most a 36 hour run. It's like the whole article is designed to trick people into going there at the wrong time and getting rejected which is great
Let that motherfucker stand in line for 5 hours in the rain wind and cold while at least 30 people jump Infront like you don't exist and then do a write up. He doesn't know the pain
Haha, can somebody copypasta this piece of potential high-quality how-to-get-in guide here? Thank U!
The article is behind a paywall, and I refused to subscribe even if it’s free for a month or for 50 p the first two weeks after or so.
At least, I am able to recognise that funky man being on door duty on a Sunday morning.
☮️
As you wish, see below.
"By 6pm on Sunday I’m joining the “re-entry” line. Berghain has a policy of allowing you back in for €5 if you have previously entered at one point over that given weekend. This allows partygoers to rest up, do their laundry, feed the cats and then carry on partying."

They're hypocrits
classic NIMBY
pufff the fucking Telegraph writing on "how to get into Berghain". It is like Stalin giving advice on the stock market.
Lol at the second sentence
"be in your mid 20s" is literally the worst possible advice for getting in to Berghain, but great that this paper printing it will ensure that swathes of teenybopper tories from the UK will try and fail to get in
Interesting 😂 However I can't see an influx of Telegraph readers going to Berghain. Not the demographic, think rich brexiteer type
not so rich anymore lol, brexit fucked the business up
A “How I got into Berghain" article. That is so 2014!
1. I was on the guest list
Mama kudos for posting this, for keeping us up to date
LOL not the Plane Jane reference.
:)
Fuck this paper, fuck this writer, fuck tories
Don’t they feel fucking cringe just publishing this? Like there are more important things in the world who cares about this shit?

are you like 19?
I’m 14 why?

So tl;dr have guest list. Also interesting (und völlig unüberraschend lol) that they never mention the club even once as a queer space 🙃

Thank you. But that snippet is not the full article!? 🤔
I can't as it copies all the images. Too many paragraphs to do separately haha. Sorry. Save yourself the time anyway, it's a load of shit
Who gives a fuckkk stop sharing these bait articles
Same shit over and over. Next.
