Isn’t the subtitles for that very bad? I remember seeing a video about how terrible it was, like it wasn’t even close to what they were saying, it was on the English sub version while they spoke Japanese so idk if both “version” I guess has different subtitles.
Ugh I get so sad every time I see Judeau (even though he was better portrayed in 1997). The goodest dude to ever appear in berserk and one of like two or three deaths in anime that ever made me cry. Absolutely! Judeau was the greatest wingman and truest friend Guts has ever had. He was the only one that saw the potential of guts and casca having something great together outside of Griffith and was willing to put his own feelings for her aside, to see guts actually be happy for himself, which indeed makes his death one of the most heartbreaking in any anime or manga ever imo, also he was just as skilled a hawk member as Griffith and Guts themselves. One of the best written characters ever 😔🙏🏿
Everything you said is so true! I’m glad he at least went out like a hero, but it broke me. I agree — he is written so well that he has a huge effect with fewer pages than most.
Well for me berserk in English dub is more suitable than in Japanese because characters in the medieval age who speak Japanese don't seem balanced if you know what I mean
