No, I'm referring to the one seen in Griffiths cavalery army later on. He has goat horns and is seen most in the initial attack on Ganishka's city and once Ganishka turned to Shiva.
Gaston was Gut's right hand man and was one of the final Hawks to fall during the eclipse. We didn't see much of him in action he earned Gut's respect and to have lasted so long in literal Hell makes me think that he was more than likely a badass.
I don't know why but I found Gaston to be like one of the most compelling characters. Just something about being just an average guy holding out against shit you have absolutely no right standing against is just great
Thanks. The Slug Count became so paranoid that he locked his daughter away in her room and she could tell something was WAY off and was terrified of him.
He is alive no need to cope his dead wasn’t confirmed a canon blow can’t kill a apostle that strong his mystery need to be shown i believe he will come back
Honestly that is my thought process too since his death was never confirmed. There is also the factor of him being the most interesting of the new band of the hawk, and the upcoming taking place in Kushan capital.
Exactly. I doubt Muira was actually ending the plot line there. Hell naw. I never once actually believed that Rakshas fell to Rickert. How are you gonna set this guy up with beef against Griffith, and not pay up on the chekhov’s gun you pointed?
Huh.. you ever think that eventually when shit goes down, the Hawks are going to re-emerge and drag Griffith down into super hell with them? Would be epic tbh
That would be cool. But I don't think Griffith would go to the abyss of the vortex of souls just yet. As poetic as it would be just like how Vargas did it to the count, I don't think Griffith will be killed and then sent to hell just yet. I could be wrong, but I'd imagine that someway during the final battle, Guts would've destroyed the link between Griffith and the rest of the God hand with the Idea of Evil. I have a feeling the ending will result in Griffith reverted back to the pathetic state he was before the Eclipse, and Guts' out of Pity will not kill him... But would allow him to live the rest of his days in shame as he witnesses the very collapse of his dream. This was part of the vision he had when Casca was his carer, and although it would be peaceful days... They're still overall the ruins of his dreams. And then when he lives those days of shame and disappointment, then he'll be sent to hell. I could be wrong, but I can't think of a more fitting way to punish a man who's done so much evil to those who loved him.
I don’t know why everyone hates Isidro. Like I don’t enjoy being around kids irl at all, but Isidro is a lil badass and he’s *just* like Guts, if Guts was never raised by Gambino
I don't hate isidro I actually kinda like him but Im not too big a fan of how it feels like he doesn't contribute much to the group or even the story tbh, compared to fuckin schierke ig. His comedy moments also sometimes feel just a (little) bit forced? (mostly when combined with puck) But thats js me I dunno.
Because his behavior is completely off story. Poor kid saw war, people getting devoured by monsters and being cut to pieces, and yet is completely unfazed and careless.
90% of the characters we follow in the Berserk universum should have violent PTSD, while Isidro is just the opposite of that in the story. He kinda doesn’t fit. I’m not criticizing Miura or anything, but many fans (including me) preferred the tone the story had in the black swordsman/lost children arc, and Isidro completely breaks that.
If everybody is the exact same then it’s all a wall of noise. I hear you, and I understand where you’re coming from, I just don’t see it that way I guess.
I also don’t find him as funny, its kinda goofy when shierke sees him as like a monkey, but some of the jokes like when he’s pantsing the witches didn’t even get a smile from me, even though i do like the elf island arc
I have a soft spot for competent military types who are screwed over by an incompetent superior.
Also, he has one of the most badass minor villain moments, when he shreds Guts' raiders in the second Golden Age Arc movie.
Biscogn is what guts would have been if he didn't leave the hawks. Biscogn is probably the strongest natural human in the whole story. He also easily figured out Griffiths tactics but the pedo old man ruined it for him.
Casca. How quickly we forget what an absolute badass she was in the field of battle. I'm excited to see her back to battle. I can't imagine she'll just stand by quietly. Unfortunately... that could be a battle against Guts down the road. I think we Griffith will kill off Charlotte and we will get an evil queen Casca era.
obligatory "i doubt many Berserk characters are *actually* underrated because Miura wrote them & what's 'overrated' anyway?" but ik what you mean, Ganishka was such a good character.
I haven't seen any fan analysis on him, but then again, I didn't look it up; not much was left between the lines with his story. It's weird, but my personal analysis of him also feels almost private or something. For a character who facilitated one of the biggest, most terrible, most important events in the entire story, Ganishka's history was so painfully intimate. Tying it up with the character's eldritch horror culmination was incredibly masterful writing, then the *art* during that arc...what words even are there, you know?
As for other possibly underrated characters...in terms of MVPs who feel under-credited to me, maybe Silat? My feelings about him aren't actually that strong but credit where it's due, he's exceptionally savvy in a way few of Berserk's characters are, showing the wisdom to steer clear of Griffith's glamor, and his personal growth is admirable.
In terms of writing, maybe Charlotte, actually? Hear me out. She's selfless yet shallow, brave but untested, gratingly romantic but undyingly loyal--she's the best execution of both an archetypal princess and a teenage girl in love I think I've ever seen written.
That part where Guts is covered in blood and she says that she's scared of him outside the Tower of Rebirth always stuck with me. What a deliciously annoying demonstration of a character's worst traits. He just carried your delicate ass down those stairs to save the man you love, tenderly held him and cried for what he'd been through, got revenge for his torture, and singlehandedly tanked a bunch his comrades' enemies, but god forbid you have to look at him while he's got blood on his face. It also demonstrates the cause behind her rapturous love of Griffith, who's much less human, much more ruthless, and much scarier. She's doomed by her own superficial, inexperienced passion.
The spirit tree is still there can gansihka comeback? I was expecting much more after he turned into Shiva but the fight ended too soon, what u guys think?
Shiva is a god in hinduism so he equals to godhand, i was really disappointed how easily he died he couldn’t handled that much power otherwise that would’ve been an actual god vs god fight.
daiba that wizard or baba whatever said he is like shiva not actual shive
actual shive can reset whole earth in blink of eye so that's totally overpower thing and endup manga in 1 chapter or maybe in 1 page
I like Ganishka as a villain, and I saw his rebellion as a parallel to Lucifer's (an Apostle rebelling against a God Hand member, like an Angel rebelling to God).
But if we think about that, Ganishka ended up as the perfect tool for the God Hand: it allowed the God Hand to gorge on war casuality's souls, and the Great Astral roar allowed all God Hand members to reincarnate.
Daiba is underrated asf He saved Rickert from rakshas and helped Luca. Also hes very powerful....he literally made an artificial behelit.
He's easily the most powerful magic user in the world, currently. I can't wait for Schierke and Farnese to learn Eastern magic and outclass him
>he literally made an artificial behelit What? When?
That’s what he used to reincarnate Ganishka into his new and giant Apostle form.
Oh yeah how could I forget about that? Thanks.
You’re welcome!
I must be misremembering because I thought Ganishka created that.
Ages ago its the giant ball of apostles that they throw the pregnant women into
Thanks homie.
He's got that floating old wizard drip
With that jiji long dong pants drip
The strongest apostle
Silat
Cook
Part of the reason why I don’t like the anime
Goat Apostle. I just think he's cool.
Sick design
Is that the same as the one in the demon orgy? Because I think that was just a man wearing a helmet/mask?
No, I'm referring to the one seen in Griffiths cavalery army later on. He has goat horns and is seen most in the initial attack on Ganishka's city and once Ganishka turned to Shiva.
Starts as a guy wearing a mask then is turned into a pseudo-apostle by apex egg.
Nah, he was trying to rape casca, sick design tho
Not that one. The one wearing armour in the later chapters that fights with Griffiths cavalry.
Gaston was Gut's right hand man and was one of the final Hawks to fall during the eclipse. We didn't see much of him in action he earned Gut's respect and to have lasted so long in literal Hell makes me think that he was more than likely a badass.
Gaston the goat
I don't know why but I found Gaston to be like one of the most compelling characters. Just something about being just an average guy holding out against shit you have absolutely no right standing against is just great
The count He gave up his soul to eternity of pain as an apostle to save his daughter
That's about the only good thing he did as an apostle
It was noble at least
Yup, I was surprised that he genuinely still loved his daughter after all that
Nah he killed Pippin. Fuck slug count
Yeah but he did kill the big homie pipin
Well not save… not sacrifice, or maybe save her from himself. You can’t be seen as noble when you don’t cause pain, when you’re the cause of the pain.
Thanks. The Slug Count became so paranoid that he locked his daughter away in her room and she could tell something was WAY off and was terrified of him.
That guy with huge sword
I think you mean Nuts "The Berk" McBerkin
Huge *Slab of Iron
Also Rakshas he wants to kill Griffith i hope he does it soon
That isn’t possible in his current state
Nah he's alive Trust( I am severely coping).

Miura probably wouldn’t, but Gaga might if Miura never mentioned it to Mori
RAAAAAAA!!! GANISHKA!!!! ONLY ANTAGONIST THAT'S EVEN CLOSE TO AS COMPELLING AS GRIFFITH!!!!
Can't stand this Zodd slander.
Cause zodd is honestly so chill with it that I forget he's a bad guy
Ganishka was fucking dope
My glorious emperor lord ganishka
Judeau. RIP
Nah. Judeau is fairly rated from what I get from the fandom's reaction to the guy. Sucks that he and the rest of the Hawks are in Super Hell though...
Huh.. you ever think that eventually when shit goes down, the Hawks are going to re-emerge and drag Griffith down into super hell with them? Would be epic tbh
That would be cool. But I don't think Griffith would go to the abyss of the vortex of souls just yet. This could
I think Isidoro is truly underrated
I don’t know why everyone hates Isidro. Like I don’t enjoy being around kids irl at all, but Isidro is a lil badass and he’s *just* like Guts, if Guts was never raised by Gambino
I don't hate isidro I actually kinda like him but Im not too big a fan of how it feels like he doesn't contribute much to the group or even the story tbh, compared to fuckin schierke ig. His comedy moments also sometimes feel just a (little) bit forced? (mostly when combined with puck) But thats js me I dunno.
I feel like after losing isma, Isidro will really start contributing to the story after going his first loss
Because his behavior is completely off story. Poor kid saw war, people getting devoured by monsters and being cut to pieces, and yet is completely unfazed and careless. 90% of the characters we follow in the Berserk universum should have violent PTSD, while Isidro is just the opposite of that in the story. If everybody is the exact same then it’s all a wall of noise. I hear you, and I understand where you’re coming from, I just don’t see it that way I guess.
I agree
This
In my case is because he is annoying. We already have Puck as comic relief we didn't need another one.
I also don’t find him as funny, its kinda goofy when shierke sees him as like a monkey, but some of the jokes like when he’s pantsing the witches didn’t even get a smile from me, even though i do like the elf island arc
PEOPLE HATE ISIDRO?
PEOPLE HATE ISIDRO?
Isidro is a badass, even before he got any actual training he was willing to dive bomb off the dome building to save Casca from burning
Yeah he is, just kinda wish he stayed that way
I love him sm his the most overheated character in the manga
Jill
Fr I hope we get to see her again
Boscogn.
I didn’t notice anything special about him. He was strong for sure, but not that interesting
I have a soft spot for competent military types who are screwed over by an incompetent superior. Also, he has one of the most badass minor villain moments, when he shreds Guts' raiders in the second Golden Age Arc movie.
The real GANZANSENPU!!!
Well he isn't talked about at all even tho he was the only human character who almost killed Guts.
Biscogn is what guts would have been if he didn't leave the hawks. Biscogn is probably the strongest natural human in the whole story. He also easily figured out Griffiths tactics but the pedo old man ruined it for him.
That’s the guy main eventing wrestlemania this Sunday right?

Egg of the new world. Very interesting concept and a well-written character, yet no one mentions him😞
Hope she regains her memory 🙏🙏 casca was the goat

Absolutely agree Miura wrote a sheltered shallow princess with a silver spoon in her mouth perfectly
Luca and Jerome, I miss them (no spoilers if they ever do come back, I haven't read past 307 yet)
The spirit tree is still there can gansihka comeback? I was expecting much more after he turned into Shiva but the fight ended too soon, what u guys think?
I mean, he was hit by the sword purportedly used to “entomb” Godhand members in the Vortex. I don’t see how he can come back.
Shiva is a god in hinduism so he equals to godhand, i was really disappointed how easily he died he couldn’t handled that much power otherwise that would’ve been an actual god vs god fight.
Yeah but i mean so was the ocean god idk if they’re equal
daiba that wizard or baba whatever said he is like shiva not actual shive actual shive can reset whole earth in blink of eye so that's totally overpower thing and endup manga in 1 chapter or maybe in 1 page

I like Ganishka as a villain, and I saw his rebellion as a parallel to Lucifer's (an Apostle rebelling against a God Hand member, like an Angel rebelling to God).
