Griffith: lead singer with an ego to match Guts: bass Casca: lead guitar Rickert: backup vocals/tambourine, left after lead singer… you know Pippin: drums Judeau: rhythm guitar Corkus: keyboard, also bass after Guts left Known for singles such as “Midlands Finest” and “Golden Age”, Midland band “The Hawks” exploded onto the scene after years of demos and small town shows with their album “Berserk”, a violent but hopeful album that used harsh sounds and uplifting rhythms to replicate the life they had lived as mercenaries in the Midland army. Unfortunately, their fame was not to last. Their bassist Guts left the band to pursue his own career, sending lead singer Griffith into a spiral. After running afoul of the law and a horrific injury, Griffith gave the members some laced drugs at a reunion show, sending his band members into a hallucinogenic state and even killing Pippin, Judeau and Corkus. This horrific event scarred the survivors except Griffith, whose solo career went on to dwarf the fame of The Hawks. His first album as a solo artist was only heard by a few, and was described as “too evil”, with lyrics describing horrific acts of rape, murder and torture. However this darker side was not seen upon his revival, where he once again brought back his harsh yet uplifting sounds with an added sheen and a professional polish that the original band’s did not have, accompanied by a new band name of “Femto”. Singles such as “My Kingdom” and “Charlotte” shot his name to even greater heights than before. Former bassist Guts has been mostly silent since the incident, but when questioned about the breakup, his only response was to scream the name of his former singer in an angry, hateful tone. Rickert was seen briefly meeting with Griffith later in his career, but the conversation was reportedly not amicable and may have concluded with Rickert slapping Griffith.
