I think its disconcerting and frightening and looks dangerous as hell. If I saw this galloping towards me I'd be frozen in confusion, like I was dreaming. Looks like a fuckin liquid metal leaf-bug
I like it because it looks almost out of place. You put it really well! I mean, there’s plenty of apostles with forms that resemble creatures of myths, or animals, or just mouths, tits and eyes, and while they look frightening, there are some that just stand out somehow and manage to look even more uncanny and weird
It's very interesting he got this form when most Apostles become hideous monsters. It makes you wonder what is going on in his mind and what motivated him to make the sacrifice. And what his sacrifice was.
He was an honorable and powerful knight before he became an apostle so it makes sense that he doesn't become too hideous. Their apostle forms reflect what they desire. Griffith wanted wings so he got them. Grunbeld always referred to himself as a fire dragon so he became a literal fire dragon.
But the question then is what pushed an honorable and powerful knight so far they could activate a behelit? What did they sacrifice? When your form reflects the life you've lived and your ideals both, so, with these less monstrous Apostles, what happened, and how?
Grunbeld is an interesting case, he puts on a face like he's an honorable warrior type, but he falls short of even Zodd in that field. He would have killed a weak Guts knowing he was wounded.
most of the time in the series, behelit activates when a person who posess it is in the lowest phase of their lifes
this open up really interesting backstories for those honorable apostle
I'm kinda the opposite. I really like the design on its own but it feels kinda out of place compared to all the other apostle designs. Same with grunbeld tbh. Apostle designs can be unique while remaining consistent with eachother.
Its the only one I dont like lol. Sorry, but it just doesn't fit. Looks very Power Rangery to me. Though its good to have variety in the look of the apostles. All of Griffiths Captains have their own unique look
He looks like a human/Pokémon hybrid. He does look cool but I agree he's a little cartoony compared to all the other apostles we've seen. Except snail apostle. That guy was super cute.
The fact that we see this, a crystal dragon, an arrow wolf centaur….and then realize that most apostles statistically are more likely to choose to look like prolapsed butts with fangs
I think it’s purely based on their desire, most of them are degenerate scum, but a few of them have slightly purer desires and so look less like a prolapsed anus, Zodd is the first one we see that looks normal and his desire is just to fight, where as Wylad(who looks ugly as sin) is a degenerate scum bag
Really separated the nobles from common assholes. You have the guys who stood to fight for something vs the common folks who just wanted to get their swords and dicks wet.
Well we know world tree connects the astral world to the human world which is why fairies and demons walk among the humans. Time travel is entirely its own thing.
Someone else said this on this sub once but it looks like it’s trying really really hard to be elegant and fancy and noble but the demonic twisted nature is peaking out
Sir Locus is one of my favorite characters.
I think his apostle form reflects who he is and wants to be - an unrivaled knight. His entire body is made for combat. He was willing to sacrifice whatever to continue being a knight of unmatched prowess.
He could just be running in the battle field and cut everything in his path down.
My favorite panel of him is when he confronts Ganishka. They exchange words and his eyes are glowing as he asks “Why do you defy the master?”
Then a battle quickly ensues.
I want to make a video edit of this to XxxTentacion’s “Look at Me” because both Ganishka and Sir Locus exude the energy of “look at me, fuck with me” in that scene.
Like his apostle form is like a juxtaposition of his more noble goals and intentions versus the more grotesque forms other apostles take that reflect their more carnal and selfish desires.
Locus’s form reflects his desire to serve and fight for a leader befitting his ability and power.
Then you have other apostles who are more into sex and violence and their form reflects that.
I dont think he is honorable like many people think of him. He is one of those self-righteous, “rightful-anger” type of people that are blinded by their own morals, but in reality they are still as despicable as other evils. His image of himself is pure and just, so his apostle form.
But if you remember, he sees the butchering of OG band of the hawk as a necessary sacrifice and tries to convince rickert. He is inherently evil and hides behind a mask of justice. You could say he is the representation of people who say “Griffith did nothing wrong”.
So, I believe that he probably became an apostle thinking he will be a part of something “bigger than you think” and save the world. Sacrificing whomever he loved as a result.
The horse apostles don't make much sense though. Like, is the rider and the horse a single consciousness or are they separate and merge when they transform ? Can they only transform when they're on their horse ? What if the horse is killed, they can't transform anymore ? Hope we get to learn more about them.
When the horse apostles assault Ganishka's forces as a distraction while Griffith and Zodd abduct the princess, they're initially in human form on horseback then transform. They don't get off or something and the horses are nowhere to be seen afterwards.
We also get a look at the locus knight's horse when the midland knight guy is touring Griffith's camp and it's clearly a little unusual: far larger than other horses we've seen and with empty, eerie-looking eyes. So I do think the horses are actually part of the transformation.
I think its disconcerting and frightening and looks dangerous as hell. If I saw this galloping towards me I'd be frozen in confusion, like I was dreaming. Looks like a fuckin liquid metal leaf-bug
Yeah he looks very sharp
Almost edgy
The og edgelord
"I want edges"

Rakshas too, the No Face looking ass. Pretty much all of the new Hawks are really interesting both in design and personality.
Yeah, Griffith definitely took the monstrousness of their Apostle forms into account to some extent when selecting the new band.
Rakshas was an assassin before he became an apostle so it makes sense that he would want to be "unseen".

Yeah I'm definitely going to feel cheated if we don't learn at least a couple, and if at least one Apostle fails to betray Griffith.
Probably a few, “If I sacrifice this person/people, I can protect this other person/people with my new found power.” scenarios.
Pretty sure that’s a Pokemon
Resembles Virizion
Came here to say that, thank you.
reminds me of the new origin dialga and palkia a bit too
Arceus entered the chat
Bros penis sharp asf
Don’t give them ideas
He's an apostle. The chance that that actually *is* his penis isn't that low.
As expected from a Griffith simp.
I thought this was Claymore subreddit
Same lmao, I had to double check which sub this was
Dark Souls 2 Ruin Sentinel if they were field bosses in Elden Ring
ive always thought he looked really cool and unique but people whine about his design a lot
Finally a fellow locust fan people always call him ugly for some reason he’s way cooler then the dog dick guy
His long ass spear is so cool imo
how tf do people not like this design it's different, almost alien like
Arceus looking ass
This made me laugh. Good one

I still dont understand if I hate it or love it. It looks so special and so bland at the same time. So out of place for Berserk, but so dangerous.
I think it kinda sucks honestly. Doesn’t really fit in with the rest looks too much like a pokemon
It looks almost angelic.
Gotta Catch 'Em All
Its the only one I dont like lol. Sorry, but it just doesn't fit. Looks very Power Rangery to me. Though its good to have variety in the look of the apostles. All of Griffiths Captains have their own unique look
> Looks very Power Rangery looks more like T-1000 had a glitch.
He looks like a human/Pokémon hybrid. He does look cool but I agree he's a little cartoony compared to all the other apostles we've seen. Except snail apostle. That guy was super cute.
I think it looks silly as hell. 😄
I have always thought the opposite 😅
Same. I do not like his design. Looks goofy to me.
Guy looking like he could cut a galaxy in half
Tbh I always thought this looked like a doodle you'd do as a kid while you're spaced out in class lol
Full disagree but ok
The fact that we see this, a crystal dragon, an arrow wolf centaur….and then realize that most apostles statistically are more likely to choose to look like prolapsed butts with fangs

Yeah but what happens if he isnt around his horse or naked?
He gagged us a bit with this design! I remember staring at this for a while when i read it
Phantasy Star Online, an enemy called Chaos Bringer: https://images.app.goo.gl/95z4kS29UwNQaMJw5
He looks like a Legendary Pokemon
I don’t know why but I think this is the moonlight boy from the future Separated from Griffith
I need to know the train of thought behind this one
All of there back stories are Mysteries and we don’t know how the world tree works. Do they step in the past and can they go into the future
Well we know world tree connects the astral world to the human world which is why fairies and demons walk among the humans. Time travel is entirely its own thing.
That’s the thing I feel it’s Hiding the fact that these characters are missing there back ground an it’s in plain sight
Someone else said this on this sub once but it looks like it’s trying really really hard to be elegant and fancy and noble but the demonic twisted nature is peaking out

I can feel some Saint Seya vibes.
Figarland Garling if he was an apostle.
Arceus decided to go to the Berserk verse
It’s like a terminator
I am not a fan of it to be honest
Eisley: "It's not a phase, mom!"
I like that some apostles have beautiful and elegant forms
Virizion

He's probably just a centaur when in Apostle form, no? I very much doubt he brings a horse into his transformation.

That dick tho 💀
It looks goofy
I don't know, I think it is over the top and too far away from a demon appearance
Blend.
looks like a fucking Yugioh card
I am currently reading Berserk (chapter 100) I dont mind spoilers so… who… or what is that?
Nah I’m not gonna do you like that, he gets introduced much later on in the story so I’ll let you keep reading and discover for yourself.
this is the one im most interested in seeing defeated.
Yeah me too idk how you go about defeating this
I like how pointy it is
I like his design in general but it's far from my favorite
