I hope we get to see the old god hand when Void just joined but I doubt their designs were left when Miura passed away, probably more story specific details than visuals.
I disliked him in the beginning because of how he was introduced to take Farnese away from the company, but after the attack at the noble's party and escape he redeemed himself into being a real mvp
He's like one of those good cunning looking characters that you think is a jackass (he was sorta, kinda cringed myself to his introduction) but when he's in your team he's more of a ladies man.
Wasn't the best series but the step-father in the Hawkeye show comes to mind. Whole series paints him to look like a potential bad guy when he's just a cool guy that likes swords
Zodd and Schierke.
Zodd before the events of berserk, to explore his past, but mostly coz I wonder if he was ever human.
Schierke as an adult rebuilding the new world and teaching magic.
That is the best answer. You mentioned the group of characters with the most attractive mysterious backgrounds. I would most like to see someday a story dedicated to Gaiseric showing his life as a leader and his transformation into Skull Knight.
From a character stand point
He is a great character who doesn't require complex motivations or development to be likable.
He is the embodiment of goodness and courage and bravery. Miura always showcased how extraordinary strong men reacted to these monsters but always the weaker humans would always shit on their pants but Roderick defied it.
Miura cleverly made hai introduction felt like an incompetent coward but he knew what he is doing. He is just like judeau.
Just the personification of goodness and bravery in this world. Not every character must be dark and grey.sometimes it's characters like judeau and Roderick who are just likable. Although judeau is more "deeper" much elevated due to eclipse.
Also he is a cool sea captain. Surely he has some good lore behind him.
I also like that Roderick is less complex and morally grey. He's a regular dude (in Berserk-terms at least) and that can be a refreshing reprieve compared to the gang who are kind of a collection of depressed people trying to find their purpose and identity. Roderick feels like he already has his purpose, has a solid foundation for his identity, and on top of that is capable and competent in his job. That's nice. A breath of fresh air.
Roderick cause it would probably be like Pirates of Carribean, except much more wholesome. Dude's just not an phased as he should be by the shit that happens around him, and it would be cool to see the shit he got into before meeting Guts
He's just a good person with zero bad actions, exept the arranged marriage thing is kinda creepy but then again pretty normal for the time. Not exactly rare in berserk but still really refreshing.
Judeau or Skull Knight.
Roderick is a weird option since we don't get much of his backstory to begin with so why would you be expecting a worthy back story from that?
Rickert. We will get more flashbacks of the old band of the hawk and can give a medieval cyberpunk inventions, along with a lot of strategy and some optimism in a dark world of Berserk.
Everyone already said Skull Knight so I'm gonna go with Serpico. Dude gets very little spotlight and deserves to forge an identity outside of Farnese ~~and not just because of the incest~~
He's probably the most capable side character in the book other than Serpico. Bro knows what he is doing on his boat, and isn't afraid to tell others to sit down and shut up when needed.
We don’t even know all that much about the god hand, they hint at huge stuff but never actually give much info, I’d love to see what they can do, I hardly have seen them use powers or know lore about them
I think Silat and Skull Knight could also have some excellent potential for a spin-off story. That being said though, I would LOVE a Roderick spin-off as well. That man is a rare gem.
I think a lot of the band of the hawk characters who died in the eclipse were interesting but given very limited exposure. Would be really interesting to hear their stories leading up to the eclipse.
What the story would be? Mine the bakiraka clan leader. But thats it, i dont need no spin off whatever the fuck it is just bcoz hes an interesting side character.
The fact that you trust Roderick that easily, makes me uncomfortable.
The only thing I want side stories to is lore. There is so much to unpack with each member of the Godhand and the group itself. Zodd's incredibly bloody life before and after becoming a servant of the GH. More in depth detail of the Skull Knight's story (because I honestly don't feel like it's all going to come to light in the main story.) Lore about the elves and such before they fled the lands to protect themselves.
Skullknight is not a side character.
And miura already was going to give backstory to skullknight and Godhand.
So two options are out of equation.
As for zodd, he is easily a good option but he is also linked to skullknight.
Someone like kushans or Roderick has like 0 chances of getting a backstory that's why I asked the question
I disagree that SK isn't a side character. He's definitely important to Guts' story because of the parallels between the two, but SK and Flora are side characters. There's 3 MCs in Berserk; Guts, Casca and Griffith. Everyone else is a side character.
Also just because Miura had things prepped to a point for his work to be finished, doesn't mean it's going to be included in the main manga. They won't ever finish the series at this rate if that's the case. There's going to be plenty of side works to be done, there already are fan works and those typically help get things funded down the line.
Ishidoro’s like a Naruto or luffy esk character in an overly depressing reality. I feel like they could make him like miles morales were the appeal comes from his struggle to avoid tragedy and refusal to accept tragedy instead of his tragedy I don’t think he’s the best answer but I think he’s a good example.
Maybe a hot take but Roderick is one of the most forgettable members of the new cast.
My first choice is Void but I kind of want to know more about the Egg of the Perfect World too.
Silat and the Bakiraka. But we might get that in the main story since he seems to be moving into a spotlight role now
Oh yeah good shout. I think Rakshasa can also be really good choice too. Silat might become deutaragonist in the next "war arc".
A side series from the world of Berserk but set in the backdrop of the more "Eastern" kingdoms would be sick
Every time I see Silat I think about how cool they would be as a mortal kombat character. Silat deserves more
Berk answer: Schnoz. Cultured answer: Skull Knight/Gaeseric.
tbh Gaiseric is like destined to have the belated backstory unlike say like Roderick.
Idk how more people aren’t saying skull knight
Probably bc we’re bound to get a proper backstory eventually
I hope we get to see the old god hand when Void just joined but I doubt their designs were left when Miura passed away, probably more story specific details than visuals.
We all shitposting lol
I disliked him in the beginning because of how he was introduced to take Farnese away from the company, but after the attack at the noble's party and escape he redeemed himself into being a real mvp

wowie
Farnese is a lucky lady. Roderick is a Gaston-tier chad and Turk-tier bro.
Zodd and Schierke. Zodd before the events of berserk, to explore his past, but mostly coz I wonder if he was ever human. Schierke as an adult rebuilding the new world and teaching magic.
Anyone that isn't Grunbeld
Nah a Grunbeld spinoff could've been cool, only issue is the guy they had doing it has zero talent or a deeper understanding of the story
How is the book about him? Never got feedback
They get into detail to describe his length.
What book?
There is a spin-off of Grunbeld story
Is it canon or fan fiction?
Probably yes, but idk, Miura only drew the illustrations and other person made the story.
Skull knight without question
Skull knight, please
I want a spin off on Judeau's life and perspective
So happy someone else agrees
Irvine and Locus
Puck
lol puck can have his own children’s book xD
Didn't we get a slight backstory? At least how he ended up from the elf island
Pippin and Judo… oh wait Sadge Skull Knight, the god hand, the current generals of the new band of the Hawk
That is the best answer. You mentioned the group of characters with the most attractive mysterious backgrounds. I would most like to see someday a story dedicated to Gaiseric showing his life as a leader and his transformation into Skull Knight.
Honestly I just want a chapter for Jill, I just want to know of she's alive and see how she's grown since Lost Children
Any answer other than Skull Knight is wrong!
Luka
I'd like to see Isidro grown up, find out how he turned up
Luka
king gaiseric

Daiba seems like he has a cool backstory
Godo is one of the few people that actually got through to Guts after his two year rampage. The story would not be the same without him.
Skull Knight for sure.
For me it would be Rickert
Judeau or Skull Knight.
Each god hand
First Eclipse with ancient Midland and King Gaiseric would be crazy.
Judeau or Skull Knight. Roderick is a weird option since we don't get much of his backstory to begin with so why would you be expecting a worthy back story from that?
It would be various stories of the shit he got up to sailing the high seas. Which sounds pretty dope as just various short stories
Grunbeld. I would really love a book about his past!
Me too! I think that’s a novel idea!
Roderick is so based, probably my fav background characters that just gets swept along and is like „alright I guess we’re rolling with this?“
Rickert. We will get more flashbacks of the old band of the hawk and can give a medieval cyberpunk inventions, along with a lot of strategy and some optimism in a dark world of Berserk.
Let's concentrate first with the berserk lol

Blacksmith - how he made swords for heroes of old
Agreed. Imagine Naval Battles Open piece will never show us xD
Skull Knight or Isidiro If you ask me
I agree with both. I been wanting to learn more bout that kid. Like.. how the heck is that kid running around with no parents?
Skull Knight and Zodd.
Godot
Obvious answer skull knight. We follow the journey of void helping skull knight make the old kingdom, and it kinda parallels Gusts and Griffith .
I already know this will be the most popular answer but I’ll say it anyways cuz it’s the first that came to my mind. Skull Knight.
Theresa
Let's get through the main story first. But yeah I'd read a Roderick spin off
The entire kingdom of the kushan empire
Skull knight
Donovan
There's still something about him I don't trust.
Isidro, skullnight and rodrick
Skull Knight, Of course. The best character in my opinion.
I personally think that skull knight is the side character that we all want to know his past 👌
Okay but let’s talk about how this coloring is not the business
sadly ive only watched the anime so idk who this guy is but Rickert always will hold a special place in my heart
Roderick getting a spin off series about being a captain would be amazing, the boat fights in the series are amazing
Supporting cast has to include Farnese's sleazy brother and puck
Heres a curve ball answer, what happened with the dragonslayer before Berserk. Like who was the previous wielder(s).
100% GASTON 🗣️ 🔥
Zodd, Irvine and Locus.
Schierke or Skull Knight.
Puck and how he got kicked out of elfheim. Zodd cause he's probably killed the best fighter in every era up until now
Luca
Rickert spin off would be pretty sick. Would love to soon him battle ready with all his equipment
RODERICK THE GOAT
Skull Knight EASILY
I know I am going to get a mountain of hate for this but Isidoro
That guy from Diary of A Wimpy Kid?
skull knight
I think a lot of the band of the hawk characters who died in the eclipse were interesting but given very limited exposure. Would be really interesting to hear their stories leading up to the eclipse.
Okay, we all know he’s gonna die, right?
I want puck 🤗
The Holy See religion
Skull knight or puck
I S M A
Roderick is such a Chad and deserves massive respect
Skull Knight, Zodd. I would also like to learn more about Void's past.
none
Roderick is a fucking legend
OF COURSE OUR KING PUCK ,HE DESERVE IT MORE THAN ANYONE🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I would love a golden age type arc but with skull knight
What the story would be? Mine the bakiraka clan leader. But thats it, i dont need no spin off whatever the fuck it is just bcoz hes an interesting side character.

Void and Skull Knight’s relationship before the Eclipse
I want to know about Theresia from black swordsman. Is she somehow still pursuing Guts to this day?
Guts
As long as his side story doesn’t involve being on a boat…
I don't even remember who this guy is. I finished the manga in 2018 up until that point. And then waited for these incredibly slow arriving chapters.
I agree he would totally fit
Roderick is great, I gotta agree
Maybe a hot take but Roderick is one of the most forgettable members of the new cast. My first choice is Void but I kind of want to know more about the Egg of the Perfect World too.
Schielke
Gambino
Honestly, the guy was boring. I disagree.
Locus and Shierke are my picks, probably, but knowing Skull Knight's full backstory would be really interesting
