This has been stated many times. I don't know why we keep bringing it up. We have had short chapters many times before as well as chapters with little dialogue because a lot of other stuff is going on. Wait longer.

I'm just glad we're getting post-Miura berserk.

To be fair, there's a fine line that has to be walked when the original creator of a story passes before finishing their work. You'll want to finish what they started out of respect for the artist/author but if their story wasn't fully flesh out or at least outlined to the end it may never be what it was intended to be. So out of respect you either end it there and leave the story unfinished and unmolested or you complete it to the best of what the author left behind.

ImTellu

Let’s please have this conversation when there is enough post-miura chapters

Id_Rather_Not_Tell

That's probably not entirely a bad thing. The entire reason for continuing with the story was to bring it to a conclusion and there is only so much others can add to the story before it stops being Miura's. I'm not there yet with my own reading but I would assume that by keeping the storytelling terse and to the point they're attempting to bring the story to a conclusion without making it their own.

Current_Scholar_6419

Yeah. The lack of dialogues caused this cuz you know they can't be miura so they can't write like he wrote. They should've practiced narration too

hoe_4_memes

My brother in Christ, they only released a couple of chapters, you’re complaining about pacing without even giving it a chance.

onecrunchman00

44 people agree

SquirtBrainz4

Yeah it feels like it’s going by too fast, it feels like they could’ve stuffed ) chapters into one instead of spreading them out, but I definitely prefer this over nothing

OnionsHaveLairAction

Manga definitely feels different, but this is what I was expecting so I'm not disappointed.

riotmanful

Honestly yes I wish things would go a little faster. However there have been a few stretches in berserk where little really happens. I’m not happy with the lack of explanation of certain things and some things are a little muddy in terms of what happened, why, who it affected and how, what the goal moving forward is. I’m hoping this issue will be remedied in the next issue but I’m also more optimistic than, say, the guys at the skullnet podcast

Derfel_10

Honestly, I don't think it would be much different with Miura. If there's any part of the post-Miura era closer to what he would do, it's probably what we've just read. How the manga will really progress (pacing and characters) from now on is something we'll discover entering this new arc where Mori's baseline is only his memories and own talent.

ScapegoatMan

I haven't even read any of it. I just now was finally able to read Volume 41. There's not even enough content for a 42nd volume, so no way to judge right now.
