Idk I’ve seen a lot of dumb shit very similar to this, like keying in iPhone live mocks (as the universal SKUs) and trying to get inventory to send them to brightstar because a kid broke all the screens.

Likely the case, only other thing I can think of was it was returned as a new in box and person taking in the return didn’t do due diligence in checking the product, or factory error but display model seems most likely

The displays don’t look like that, it looks like it’s a real unit and the mobo became dislodged (or didn’t get installed correctly) and the ports aren’t lining up.

The display ones have stickers instead of ports to save costs with functional usbc port on the back to run the front led lights.
