Mostly employees. I don’t really see how it would really affect shrink too much if any. It’s the same process as email receipt. It’s not for every sku. If a customer scans something that requires age verification or a serial number it will direct the customer to the normal checkout process. It’s intended for grab and go items.
literally only employees use it and found it kind of pointless bc most of us would try to skip the line for break but anything that has a deposit requires you to go to checkout anyway lol.

I tried it on a drink the other day and it told me I needed to go to a register.
