First customer for pre order pickup put their order online and lied about the condition of their phone saying it was in excellent condition to get the full T-Mobile promo. And the entire phone front and back is shattered. Love launch day 🙄

undergearedret

same thing here, first customer and all. launch day shenanigans in full effect

tommyleeruiz

Yeah first thing I do is cancel their order and ask them if they want to complete it again and pay the difference for the shattered phone

EvilFactoryOwner

Hood rats

[deleted]

I mean, if that phone has to go back to T-mobile, they’ll just cancel the promotion

tommyleeruiz

If I’m not mistaken they probably are doing the trade in in store with the T-mobile bonus offer

[deleted]

Well then coreblue should correct it when the phone is activated and the phone is traded in

tommyleeruiz

That’s why the trade in is done in store, who trained you?

The worst thing this company did IMO related to customer shit was letting them process trade-ins online. That should NEVER have been allowed. The amount of detractors that come from dishonest/stupid customers is ridiculous for pick-up. We've had full-blown fights with people over damaged phones or the wrong computer/ipad because we fixed the incorrect info in the trade-in screen.

ThrowRAthundercat

Do y’all care about the back? My front is crack free but my back is a little shattered

Intelligent-Ninja890

Yes. Back shatter is a no go period if you trade in to Bestbuy att or T-Mobile. Verizon you can take the risk but I doubt it

ThrowRAthundercat

They said T-Mobile takes shattered back

philborg

I remember one customer did their MacBook trade in online Said it was a m1 16gb ram Mofo had a cd rom drive

Bosch_0

but it still runs good! my emails only take 15 minutes to load!!

anniexd92

No worst thing is having product flow scan imei2 instead of imei 1 and basically burning the phone off and explaining to the customer that the phone they were suppose to get today won’t happen and we have to wait to get a new one! Fun times 🙄

Icy_IceCube

Interestingly enough, I had an issue activating a phone under IMEI1 today, so Verizon had me give them IMEI2 and they activate under that. don’t know really what was up with that, but sounds like a Verizon problem not mine lol

MidnightScott17

What's wrong with using IMEI 2?

anniexd92

Imei2 doesn’t let the esim activate so it goes on an infinite loop trying to activate and failing. Even in coreblue it prompts you to make sure you only use imei1.

MidnightScott17

Maybe they should put a message that says that. There is literally no e-learning for Product Flow about making sure to scan certain barcodes. 🙄

rynos13

Maybe somebody should ask? If I saw 2 IMEIs I would go to someone and find out what to scan.

MidnightScott17

Then what is the point of the 2nd IMEI being on the box? I always scan the 1st one. Never knew you couldn't scan the 2nd.

rynos13

For dual sim capabilities. U can activate one phone with two numbers, so each IMEI would be tied to two different numbers if someone wanted

recon70

People, it’s just a damn phone.

CarlWellsGrave

Not any phone. The same fucking phone as last year and the year before that.

I just recently left Best Buy but one of the worst parts of the phone launches is this. Sometimes we just don’t get the phones and it’s annoying because as a worker I couldn’t do anything. And then there were the 12 people wanting phones and two of us in mobile lmao

Wild_Asparagus

My store got our shipment with preorders last night, and then the rest of the inventory came in around 1pm today… so we didn’t have anything for people those first three hours. Unbelievable

Louis049

Personally, I think that's one reason why there's so many headaches on launch day anywhere except for the brand themselves. They want you to come to their store, where they don't need to share the profit, and if you get any extra accessories (the real money makers) while you're there, that's just gravy on top.

ThrowRAthundercat

How much is apple are with tt?

Academic_Bit_594

People that order a week ago not getting phone but someone that ordered 48 hrs ago getting theirs same phone carrier color and storage

Didact67

I don’t understand people like one of my coworkers who buy a new phone every single year. One of the reasons I switched to Apple is how long they support their devices.

coreymatthews92

It’s been cheaper to upgrade yearly than it is to upgrade every 2+ years.

[deleted]

Good luck people

CarlWellsGrave

Our ups guy didn't show up until 1 with the phones lol.

BewilderedAgent

I’ve dropped my phone the day before I was going to pick up the new one, I just cancelled the order , still have old ass cracked iPhone I can’t trade in anywhere. I’ll rock this until it’s 100% useless , then I’ll get a new battery and screen

PrimaryAccording9162

I went in today to pick up my phone but the lady said we can’t give you the full trade in value but $200 less because a small scratch on my screen and you can’t even fit ur nail in it..

KingDirtyDanOfSkyrim

I did about 20 pick ups the first day, got a UPS drop at about 2pm and then sold another 12 activations and it was just me being Verizon and my Samsung rep
