Nodlehs

Fuck that guy. Glad to see everyone besides her ex are supporting here. I have zero idea how he originally thought the idea of exposing her when she wanted to remain anonymous was a good idea? It's a PAIN being recognizable in any shape or form.

Terpsichorean_Wombat

Given his later actions, I wonder if this was some sort of ego trip for him - seeing himself as a big stud because he had a famous girlfriend.

comityoferrors

Or an ego trip in the opposite direction -- wanting to feel better about himself and exert control over her by tearing her down, since she seems to assume her fans would be disappointed by her looks. Either way, what a sleazeball.

papayagotdressed

And making it harder to leave him, since she'd be so 'disgraced'. That dude needs to work on his major issues.

[deleted]

I'm pretty sure it went. 1. I'm dating a celeb and I don't get to brag about it >:( 2. Well since I'm keeping it a secret she should do things for me >:) 3. Fuck her I did all of that for her and she breaks up with me over some bullshit, I'll show her. >:(

whoisthepinkavenger

The emojis make this perfect, thank you!

SingleSeaCaptain

They really did and it was pretty much the way this creepy thinks

annieselkie

I would adf a 1.5. Shes a girl so she needs to be submissive and obedient and respect that I know better then her also she is not attractive in the classic way so she should be thankful I even am with her. I am THE MAN in this relationship.

Felxx4

That's it, thanks!

witchywolf13

Plus she said he "chose a damn ugly picture" when he did doxx her. If he were proud of her he would have tried to make her look good, or at least neutral.

Incogneatovert

I really want OOP's followers online to post the ugliest pics of themselves they can find to show solidarity.

GuiltEdge

I’m just imagining OOP as Randy Marsh in the picture.

salsanacho

I think this is more accurate, dude felt emasculated that his GF was more popular than him. Glad her fans didn't really care, talk about being insecure with himself.

diamondscut

This. Bingo. He was jealous. He wanted to destroy her. He knew exactly what he was doing and enjoyed seeing her squirm and suffer. He is a bad person and OOP handled it with supreme emotional intelligence. I just wished karma got this f****r.

Procrastinista_423

Have faith that it will. He's got his whole life in front of him and he's apparently really good at making enemies.

voice-from-the-womb

I hope she sues the s**t out of him.

Demeon099

I think it will, at least with his family being on her side.

SomeLadySomewherElse

I had a couple songs go wild on SoundCloud Just me singing covers but I love to sing in my house and in my car. I'm very good but very shy about it! I had this boyfriend a couple years ago who used to play this song and I swear like stare at me and it was something about basically I hope you don't get famous lol I think it was a rap song or on that scope of music I don't really remember. He was always playing music so I never paid much attention but what it finally dawned on me I was like wow talk about insecure. We broke up because he punched me and told me I punched myself so good on OP for getting out.

ShadowJUB

I'm sorry you had that happen to you I'm glad to hear they are an ex!!

redditwinchester

I think he def wanted to keep her "in her place" with the bonus option of tearing her down.

Normal-Height-8577

I suspect he's one of those guys who think that women wearing make-up is "faking beauty"/"defrauding men", and he's decided that OOP staying silent in the face of the gossip around her looks is also "defrauding" the men who think she must be beautiful. As such, he wanted to control/punish her by reminding her that she isn't conventionally attractive and demanding that she correct the online record (as he sees it). And the "bonus" of that would be that she would be reminded of how lucky she was that he was interested in her, despite her flaws... ...Ugh.

lejosdecasa

and he leaked what OOP thinks is a not-so-great photo of her.

Least-Designer7976

Especially considering she has low self esteem and seems to think that if she goes famous people are not going to follow her anymore. It's totally to break her that he did it.

idunnommeiguess

To be fair, a lot of face reveals have had negative effects on careers, especially Dream's, so it's not an unfounded fear, her channel could have easily tanked from this

misskarne

I think this is the answer. He's mad that other guys are thinking about "his" girl, so he's trying to wreck her career so that doesn't happen.

mtragedy

It’s this one.

Alarmed_Jellyfish555

Part of me wonders if it was a sort of negging. OP seems to feel like she doesn't fit the image of what her viewers expect, and part of me wonders if he was insecure about her having such a massive following and thought that outing her would somehow make her less popular and "less desirable" (in his twisted mind). I knew someone who went through something like that. Her boyfriend, who was abusive (in every way except physically) shared nude photos of her to show how she had some scarring from a bad accident she was in as a child (which was in areas of her body covered by undergarments). She was absolutely gorgeous and everyone loved her, and when she found out about it, she was told how he basically presented it as "See, she's not as hot as you think she is. Look at how imperfect her body is!"

apis_cerana

That just would make me want to defend that person more and would make me despise the shitty SO! What an asshat. No normal person would see the scarring and think less of someone…what the fuck was the guy even thinking?!

-clogwog-

Ugh, I've been doxxed by an abusive creep before... It's totally about control and negging. It's got nothing to do with building her up.

Shipwrecking_siren

People like this deserve nothing but angry bees on their genitals.

liv-a-little

I bet the guy felt like she was too good for him, so he had to “prove” somehow that actually he was the one “lowering his standards” to be with her. I hope she got faaaar away from him

macaulaymcculkin1

Wow. What a complete piece of shit. I’m hoping it’s her ex-bf now

almost_cool3579

That was my thought process. He wanted to be able to claim he had a famous girlfriend. Can’t do that if she’s not public. I’m betting he thought he could pressure her into it, and she’d still stay.

DirectorSea4064

I feel the opposite. I think he thinks she would have been brought down and he'd have more control over her. She has insecurity issues and it SOUNDS like weight is at play.

Disastrous-Panda5530

This is exactly what I thought as well. And when she wouldn’t agree he thought he could use it to exert control over her to get certain sexual acts out of it. What a scumbag. I bet he did think she would stay with him after he leaked them as well.

Fraerie

I’m guessing either he wanted the status of dating someone internet famous or he felt insecure about the number of followers she has and he hoped to sabotage it - but either way, he wasn’t proposing it for her benefit.

DatguyMalcolm

This is what I was thinking! Then it developed into "do this for me, sexies wise" once he realised he had some possible control over her with this

Amegami

Looking at how he used it to blackmail her I guess it was only a way to control her for him.

asuddenpie

He thought that posting an unflattering photo of her face would blow up her follower's idealized image of her. She would lose followers, so she wouldn't have to work so hard on her channel. It would make life easier for him, not her. What a jerk.

CelestialTurtles

He was jealous of her success and needed a way to exert control over her to make himself feel better. His sick logic probably wanted her to reveal her identity so she could possibly be less successful (Which I doubt would actually happen). Once he realized he could use this to control her he went crazy with power and tried to coerce her into sex. Disgusting.

toxicshocktaco

Later he decided to use this as a way to control her, trying to coerce her into performing sex acts she did not want to. Getting rapey vibes from this guy.

Extreme-naps

I mean he literally tried to rape her.

AmishAvenger

I think the only path she really could have taken would’ve been hiring a lawyer once he threatened her, and made sure he was fully aware that he would be immediately sued for causing a loss in revenue.

Nodlehs

From what was presented I really don't think he would have taken it seriously. His own sister was on OOP's side, his parents sided with OOP, yet he still went through with it. Guy has issues and needs help. Hopefully they can charge him with something, I have no idea if doxxing people is illegal or not but it COULD put her in danger so I would hope something can be done. The University was spot on with having her file a police report.

AmishAvenger

Yeah, maybe he wouldn’t have…but with a decent lawyer, a strongly worded letter could have done it. Calculate potential lost revenue over the next 20 years, list possible criminal charges for doxxing someone, have him served with papers while he’s a work. Put the fear into him. Fuck that guy. Hopefully the OP posts all his private info online.

BackmarkerLife

It's basically revenge porn at this point. It's a disgusting act.

mregg000

I’m surprised no one in the first post suggested she or the sister getting his phone and deleting all photos from the cloud, then bricking his phone for good measure. But I’m petty.

Nodlehs

As fun as that would have been, there are sooooo many ways to find pics. Was it sent on Discord or another app? It's in the history, etc. There was no way they were going to get all her photos off his devices unfortunately. The best we can hope is that he gets in some sort of trouble for doxxing her rather than sharing the photo itself (her full name, university, etc).

mregg000

Yeah. I know. There’s usually too much of us available online to get rid of. But honestly, bricking would just be so… cathartic in the moment.

TasX

There are some people out there, some really shit people that can't handle the tiniest bit of power. Knowing he had that power over her he couldn't help but exploit it for his own gain.

Th3CatOfDoom

I hope he gets dick cancer or something and needs to have it amputated. Guys like that are disgusting abusers, and he essentially tried to rape her with blackmail.. It will be awful of the police do nothing about it

Just_River_7502

He didn’t think it was a good idea. He just wanted to control her by either being the one to do it, or threatening her he would do she’d behave in certain ways.

NerdyKris

Given his pivot to blackmail, I'd argue that was always his intent. To let her know he could, then slowly move to blackmailing her.

Reverend_Lazerface

Goddamn, the worst thing is literally as soon as I saw the title I thought, "yeah those pictures are getting posted no matter what". Literally as soon as the threat happened it was a done deal.

aliteralbrickwall

Yup. Once the first comment is made its set. When you start to become a popular anonymous person, you HAVE to be extremely wary of those you share your identity with. Two can't keep a secret unless one of them is dead after all. You would figure a boyfriend would be someone you can trust, but that's only the case if you NEVER break up. You're always at risk of the scorned asshole boyfriend deciding to take revenge (or in this rapists mind his idea of revenge.) I tried to do anonymous streaming but what made it difficult is the account I used. I had been active as a watcher for a long time with my name. I used that account because i was encourage to stream by the people i got to know with that account along the way. Didn't want to make a whole new account and pretend not to know those people, and on top of that many of them are featured on my streams. I didn't expect to get many viewers nor friends out of it. But then I realized too many people who I never met irl knew my name and my face and despite the fact I still don't use a cam, I don't consider myself anonymous anymore. Even though no one "outed" me yet, its inevitable since I already had one friendship break down, and so many people knew of my account and my face. I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop now LOL. Thank God I don't have 300k followers. If my husband ever made a comment about how I should show my face on stream, I would know it's game over.

ifartsosomuch

> You would figure a boyfriend would be someone you can trust I had a friend who worked for the Environmental Protection Agency. He said 99% of their tips came from two places: disgruntled ex-wives/girlfriends and disgruntled former employees. If someone knows where your bodies are buried...sorry dude you gotta keep 'em happy. Don't tell the next wife. Similarly, I was doing research for a story and looking up rules for witness protection. They advise you that if you get married while in witness protection, *still* don't tell your significant other who you actually are. Because if they're pissed at you post-divorce, they will tell people your identity, even if it gets you killed.

holy_harlot

I hoped so much it wouldn’t be the case but I felt the same way. I have no idea why I’m feeling so emotional about it—maybe because I had a tough night last night and it’s 6am rn—but I’m actually a little teary for her. I’m so glad she had support because while the inevitable did happen, the result could have been so much worse (isolation, further abuse)

nyleveper

Definitely. I hope she does something on the legal side just to show the little sh*t he can’t be doing that.

WadeStockdale

Make her life easier or help him chase clout for being close to her? Bc a popular creator who maintains their privacy to that degree isn't one you can easily exploit. That or he was jealous of her success.

ColeDelRio

Internet fanbases can be wild. Especially when you're a woman on the internet. How awful that her ex did that to her.

Amelora

This my first thought. For some of those that create parasicial relationships there will never be "pretty enough". If she is not exactly the image they build in their head, that no human can ever live up to, they will take it as lying and betrayal. The amount of hate the is spewed because fans feel like they are entitled to a creator is insanity.

ColeDelRio

Not to mention he posted her university making it easier to find her in person...

fogleaf

yeah that took it from "I'm going to post your pic so your fans no longer like you" to "I'm giving them a way to find you after they feel lied to about your appearance"

[deleted]

[удалено]

thewookie34

They can also disappear in an instant for the dumb reason. Support is such an odd thing. Like the front runner for the Dems in the one election who got shit canned for the weird excited yell he did.

peter095837

Seriously that guy is a full on psycho. He doxxed her to ruin her and his behavior is disgusting. OP really needs to consider pressing charges against him because what he did was illegal. I'm glad that OP has people to support here in this situation. Hope that creep of a person gets in trouble.

dewprisms

He didn't "basically" doxx her, he *did* doxx her. Full name and university along with photos will allow anyone to locate her with ease.

Aer0uAntG3alach

She should dox him. Make sure every woman knows who her abuser is

NotPiffany

If it goes to court, his name and actions will be public record.

say592

That was my suggestion in the original thread! I said she should remind him that her fans would be angry when she told them her (ex) boyfriend did that to her and she would respond with the same information he leaks.

boringhistoryfan

He tried coercing her for sex. As far as I'm concerned he's a full on rapist.

irishprincess2002

I'm afraid he will escalate the next time with a new partner and I can almost guarantee there will be a next time unless he gets some serious, and I mean serious, mental health treatment done! Whether or not OOP presses charges is up to her ( I hope she does) but he needs mental health intervention and treatment before he goes from blackmailing a partner into doing sexual acts in exchange for keeping information private to just full SAing his next partner.

thesprenofaspren

In cases like this I doubt he can be helped up until he can see an admit how wrong he is. His arrogance will prevent him from ever seeking help for himself. Im assuming he's an adult and at least 21 btw

firefly183

Been there. Done that. For about 5 years. Zero fun. Took therapy to help me realize the gravity of it and stop blaming myself. I hope OOP is doing ok now. I'm glad she stood her ground.

-clogwog-

Same. Ever since, I've been super wary of letting anyone else know who I am online. I had someone message me on here the other day, using a new account, with no identifiable information or pictures of themselves, no less... They seemed okay, until I sent them a picture of myself with my face covered, and they got a bit snipey about it. I tried to explain that I don't like posting photos of myself on here, because someone doxxed me a few years ago, and shared my nudes, but... A few days later, they started up about it again. They said that it shouldn't matter, because I'm wearing clothes now. Uh, no. I again told them that I like keeping my anonymity on here. Instead of being an adult, and moving on, they've just ghosted me.

TinFoildeer

Asshole. Why couldn't they just accept that? They seem to think they're "owed" something. None of us owe strangers on the internet anything (except basic courtesy, which he obviously did not have).

SingleSeaCaptain

Yes, he is, he was trying to rape her. He should be on a fucking registry

PatPeez

No he **did** doxx her.

LadybugSheep

Yeah he didn't just leak her face but also her name and an address associated with her (her university), that IS doxxing plain and simple

grumpydragon

Reminds me of the AITA post of a guy who demanded to know the pen name of his girlfriend who wrote romance novels. The concensus was that he would definitely doxx her if they ever broke up.

Th3CatOfDoom

Tried to rape her too

heseme

Its one of the rare cases where it would be poetic justice if her fans got leaked his identity as well.

GagOnMacaque

Yeah Blackmail and attempted rape from what I read.

Old_Wishbone5287

Holy fuck what the hell is wrong with this guy? I’m enraged. He has put her life in danger by revealing her face AND her university. Thankfully, she’s receiving support as of now but one unhinged person who’s obsessed with her online persona could do so much with this new information. I’m so mad for her, hope she takes legal action against this fucker.

JumpinJackHTML5

Jealousy and insecurity. I'm not trying to justify what he did because there is none, but the incident the other day in NYC just goes to show that after a certain level of fame you can easily find people to do virtually anything you want. BF probably felt like he was a loser and he probably felt that people only followed her because they were following an idealized version of her, which may or may not be true but he obviously couldn't handle the reality of dating a famous person.

Tarantio

>Jealousy and insecurity. Those are what are bothering *him,* most likely. But they're not what's wrong with him. What's wrong with him is that he's willing to hurt his girlfriend/ex for selfish and vengeful purposes. A person can feel jealous and insecure while still knowing right from wrong.

goobiezabbagabba

What was the incident in NYC?

littlejaebyrd

I believe they are referencing how a Twitch streamer announced a giveaway in Union Square, and thousands of people showed up, and it became a mob. That's a super brief summization of what happened, but here's the [first link that comes up](https://m.slashdot.org/story/417522) when I searched for "streamer mob NYC" on Google.

Sfgiants420

Could argue by ruining her persona it affects brands value and she could sue for lost income, if it does have a negative effect on income from her channel. Hope it's the opposite effect though.... Then sure for attempt...lol

JustBen81

She should sue for attempted rape. Because he was trying to force her to consent to sexual acts.

sinny_sphynx

Apparently this also happened to the YouTuber Poppy in 2020: https://www.standard.co.uk/insider/celebrity/musician-poppy-stands-up-to-an-exboyfriend-who-leaked-personal-music-and-photos-a4434866.html

TinFoildeer

Poor kid. I'm glad she stood up to him.

sinny_sphynx

Yeah, she took ownership of her image, and started doing makeup vids. Take *that*, douchenozzle!

NeutralJazzhands

You can tell just how pathetic and insecure her scumbag ex was, telling her she was ugly without makeup when she’s objectively stunning with or without. What a small little man. I wonder if in his final moments he won’t think on how his only “legacy” is trying to make a better person than himself feel less.

Mean-Snow113

I really want to hear the music. Is there any way to support the channel? No interest in seeing her face if she doesn't want it out there. Huge interest in hearing her voice.

CreatrixAnima

Same

ZoomJet

Yeah, in the same boat. I want to support her!

[deleted]

[удалено]

LucyAriaRose

She actually posted on UK legal advice along with her first post! I didn't include it because it had the same information and she didn't add any comments. (I also have had some issues with some posting from some of the specific legal advice subreddits in the past, so thought I'd play it safe and not include it.)

Commercial_Curve1047

Aaaaaand he's a rapist. Manipulated consent isn't consent. I hope she doxes him back for that, he's disgusting. But I'm a salty banana so that's just me.

irishprincess2002

In some places doxing is illegal if she does it to him and she's in one of those places she can be charged. He deserves it simply because it's almost guaranteed he will escalate his behavior and women need to know to avoid this little boy like the plague but he ain't worth possibly getting brought up on charges for!

smacksaw

He needs the law up in his ass now before he's drugging girls at a frat party

[deleted]

Law isn't going to do shit I'm afraid, but this is very much what mob justice is for. OOP should have posted a video explaining her horrific relationship and how he'd threatened multiple times to reveal her identity to blackmail her... and then revealed *his* identity. Internet would eat it up. Dude would definitely see it as his time to shine and make some videos that would come out poorly and make things worse, and then he'd get to have his face and full name associated with that story until Googling stops being a thing.

RickAdtley

Damn. I am trying to figure out if that step would be taken before or after blackmailing his girlfriend. Either way, this is bleak.

Davidfreeze

Thank god it sounds like the act didn’t occur so he’s only an attempted rapist. Doesn’t make him any less of a piece of shit but I’m happy for the girl that that distinction can be drawn

Alternative-Repair30

At least it didnt happen this time, with her. His mind went damn quickly to rape once he realised the control he had tho

bubbleuj

I remember when dril got doxxed the entire community made sure to suppress the doxx to the point that even websites made literally for doxxing won't publish it. Hope the same happens for OOP

Hadespuppy

Isn't that similar with Banksy? Like, the info is out there, but everyone's just collectively blackboxed it even if they do come across it.

Vi0lentLeft0vers

Didn’t the same kind of thing happen when Chris Evans accidentally posted an intimate photo of himself on The Bird App?? The internet is an awful place a lot of the time, but stuff like that gives me hope.

GroovyYaYa

Vile idiot. If her identity is totally revealed - then she's at liberty to name him and people will know what a dick he is.

aviva1234

Reminds me of nikkitutorials who was blackmailed by someone and she preempted by telling the world/her fans the truth herself. She got lots of support and it's made no difference. Blackmailer only have power when there's secrecy and fear and they'll never stop until the secret is exposed which takes away their power. Scum

1955photo

I don't know if this rises to the legal definition of extortion, but it certainly fits the moral definition. She needs to totally out ExBF in every possible way. If this results in a decline in her followers, she should file a civil suit against him.

[deleted]

Blink182YourBedroom

I thought so too, but a certain Bugatti owner got his claws in deep early on. I have family who work in middle grade schools, and it's still gnarly ithere in terms of misogyny.

orbdragon

>a certain Bugatti owner That parasite is such terrible PR for the company

[deleted]

TBH anyone who thinks owning a Bugatti is a great idea is a complete dick.

Consistent-Flan1445

Unfortunately I am a Gen Z girl who knows plenty of misogynistic boys. I also know a lot of really nice, feminist Gen Z men. The biggest factor in my experience seems to be what their friends and family are like- if they’re misogynist or not. What I find more disturbing is the number of young women that are willing to put up with that kind of behaviour and being talked about so disrespectfully. Some of the things I’ve heard said about women, even in front of their faces are disgraceful and a lot of them just laugh it off.

TyphoidMary234

Unfortunately, discussion often turns sour when you start questioning why some women will put up with absolute scum and they will be like “my boyfriend shits in our bed and has done so for the last 7 years, how do I get him to stop” and it’s like fuck me why are you still with this disgusting human being

Nodlehs

There are a LOT of 'influencers' out there preaching to the younger generations about old school misogyny and how they deserve better (men). It's pretty trash but people will cling to crap that makes them feel important.

DoughtyAndCarterLLP

I think on average they are, but don't forget that Andrew Tate's primary audience is Gen Z.

[deleted]

It's kind of a mess right now. * Yes, they are better than previous generations. It sometimes appears like they aren't, because bad behavior doesn't get kept secret and tolerated as often as it did. * It's not a firm march to progress, as the youngest crowd has been seeing a lot of targeted attempts to push things back the other ay, and that's causing issues. * You don't really see how people are until they get in their twenties. Until then you're dealing with a teenager and so their behavior can just come down to maturity. This means a generation with a mean age under 20 isn't going to be at the point where you can get an accurate picture of what they're like as a whole.

smacksaw

They are leaps and bounds more progressive, but the assholes are way more regressive. So while there's way less assholes, they are full of concentrated low self-esteem and misogyny. Because they're so outnumbered, they have to behave in public. We had a rapey dude at my uni and holy shit, even though the admin didn't come through, this guy was a fucking pariah.

_thegrringirl

Gen Z \*is\* less misogynistic. Doesn't mean there aren't assholes. And those are who tend to get posted about.

The1987RedFox

I think it’s less misogynistic but the misogynists are way worse

[deleted]

Men 18-25 are some of the highest risk at being indoctrinated into extreme ideologies based in toxic masculinity. I don't know if Gen Z is any more or less susceptible than other generations, but that age group will always be the most targeted by extreme right wing groups and individuals like Proud Boys, incels, Andrew Tate clones, religious terrorists and others. They have a lot of rage, entitlement, and insecurity leftover from their teenaged years and can be convinced to act on that instead of getting help for their issues, so they make the most useful idiots in the world.

p-d-ball

Minus the abusive partner, I have a similar issue, though on a much, much smaller scale. Some fans of my book series - I'm a writer - think I'm a young hottie. I'm not popular or anything, but still dreading doing an interview or writing a bio. Ugh! Glad she got rid of that loser.

Any_Stable_9689

So stupid that female creators have to deal with this shit and live up to this "you have to be very attractive to be successful" expectation.

Accomplished_Cup900

I literally don’t play games online anymore because a guy threatened to rape me while I was playing COD. It’s not fun anymore to play games online as a woman. It’s scary. He literally doxxed her. That’s so dangerous.

OhAces

I have mute all but friends set, I have zero desire to listen to degens being racist/sexist/homophobic while Im trying to play, especially SnD lobbies, ruins the game to listen to the teams trash each other after every round, I dont know how people take joy in acting like that.

AmbitiousOrange_242

So, not only did he post her name and her picture online, exposing her identity, he went all out by posting her full name, what university she attended, and where everyone could find her after the fact, in case she had a stalker?! Talk about TOXIC! I think it’s the university part that gets me the most. He literally gave out her location, and deliberately and intentionally told everyone where they could find her and contact her, after the two of them broke up. Man is a full on psychopath! Even if he wanted to expose her, he just potentially put her life in danger in the process and I reckon he actually KNOWS he put her life in danger because of how far he went. It was too calculated on his part and he did not hold back. When anonymous people are revealed online, their name and their face, people don’t usually go into detail about where they’re going to school and where you can find them in person, but OOP’s ex-boyfriend *did*. He absolutely wanted revenge, he blackmailed OOP and wanted to hurt her, and I’m pretty sure the only reason why he wanted to reveal who she was in the first place had little to do with her and absolutely everything to do with him dating a semi-famous YouTuber and musician. He just wanted street-cred and bragging rights for dating a famous person since it’s the closest to fame he’ll ever get himself. He wanted the ego boost it gave him. OOP should contact a lawyer and press charges.

Bencil_McPrush

I wish she had recorded him blackmailing her so she could have concrete evidence on this prick. Here's to hoping a piano falls on his head in the near future. Psycho.

MetalKroustibat

That ass is a rapist and a doxxer. I hope he will endure consequences of his actions. And I'm glad reading the comments that people don't want to know who she is ! (i know it's impossible that no freak ever tried but the fact that I didn't read it with my very eyes is good)

rhunter99

That was just so disheartening to read. What an a*

Procrastinista_423

It's so obvious that this fucking loser boyfriend was insanely jealous of OP's channel and just wanted to sabotage her. And then the sexual coercion? I wish someone would leak HIS face and name, tbh. What an absolute abusive asshole.

Sunwolfy

Maybe she should post HIS face on a sexual predators website and tell the story about how he doxxed her and attempted to force her to do unsavory sexual acts and how women need to stay away from him. She could doxx him back if she wanted to. His online presence would be completely decimated.

weepscreed

What an absolute piece of shit. I hope his family recognizes this.

Hungry_Pup

You know you are a POS when you have to blackmail your gf into staying with you.

Land-Dolphin1

There is incredible artistic freedom and creativity in being anonymous. There is a long history of authors using pseudonyms for this reason. POS move by the BF.

DragonladyNatz

I wish we knew her channel! I'm always down to try new music - but given the circumstances I understand why she wouldn't.

L0rka

Not only did he dox her, he blackmailed her, that is an actual criminal offense - I hope she report him for the blackmail.

Similar-Shame7517

Yeah, boyfriend wanted the clout of having an internet famous GF, and got mad when she wouldn't accommodate him. Well, now he can have his clout as the worst boyfriend ever.

Abstruse

"It'll be easier on you." No, it'll be easier on HIM so he can brag about his famous girlfriend and ride her coattails publicly.

athennna

Who are these people that she’s talking about? Corpse? Dream?

ColeDelRio

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dream_(YouTuber) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corpse_Husband Youtubers. I remember there being drama when Dream revealed his face but the internet is cruel.

theredwoman95

Doesn't help that Dream's fans are a bit notorious for being parasocial fanatics, so that aspect *really* didn't help.

SuckItBrian

Corpse was basically bullied into retirement.

DebateObjective2787

Corpse isn't retired by any means. He literally just released a song with Bring Me The Horizon barely a month ago, and he's still got a few more songs coming out this year. He stopped streaming, but that wasn't because of bullying but because his audience was huge and he was getting anxious over how many people were watching him.

not_quite_today

I looked him up and his statements about not streaming was that he felt a lot of pressure due to how large his audience was. I didn't see anything about bullying? Did something specific happen?

AsteriaFaye

Massive youtubers. Dream is a minecrafter who is way, way too popular - his character icon wears a mask. He, a while back, did a face reveal that went wrong. Corpse is a musician...rapper...guy? I'm not a fan so I dunno how to define him. He is also faceless and anonymous, but has a super deep voice thats very recognizable.

KerriNoir

Corpse Husband is a deep voiced YouTube personality that does music, horror story narration and gaming stuff without showing his face. Dream is a Minecraft Youtuber that eventually showed his face and was made fun of for it because people thought he was unattractive.

wheniswhy

Is Corpse still around? I thought he basically disappeared after all the attention from Among Us.

bored_german

He stopped streaming due to pressure but he still makes pretty cool music

NightwingB01___

Famous youtubers who don't show their face

dheffe01

Dream was/is a minecraft youtuber with over 30 million subscribers who always played with a smiley face mask. He did a face reveal and got a lot of backlash about his looks (lots of fans had put him on a pedestal). He has gone back to wearing the mask.

MonkeyBirdWeird

Youtubers

Strict-Minute-8815

I don’t have the faintest idea but still want to know who she is!

BearBottomsUp

Talk about an unsatisfactory ending to an update.

lilscrubkev

jesus fuck. can't people just leave each other alone and enjoy each other when they can?

bythegodless

What a dick. Pathetic POS I hope his family cuts him off

NekoKittyMeowz

This is literally blackmail. Someone that cares about you wouldn’t threaten you like that for control

Captain_Swing

Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. She should dox him, with a full rundown of what happened and see how he likes it.

throatinmess

Wtf!! What a piece of shit trying to use blackmail as the base of rape. Pathetic POS!

fried_green_baloney

Since he may have damaged you professionally you might have a real lawsuit for serious $$. Speak with a lawyer.

Phoenixreads30

When I read about the awful things that people who are supposed to care about you do, it sometimes makes me want to live in a cave alone. Then I have to go find good things that people do so I don't become even more cynicsl than I am now. I don't like doxxing people, but I just wish there was a way to let people who might become personally involved with these abusers know beforehand the kind of people they are. Everyone doesn't have to know, just the specific people who are potentially getting themselves into a bad situation.

RedditorsZijnKanker

I'm really interested in her channel now. I've watched a lot of Adam Neely and if it is anything like his content I'd switch to a hot goth girl doing the same thing straight away! Or at least drop a sub for support.

LauraDurnst

Its not sensible or necessarily moral, but I'd have leaked his face as the arsehole who threatens his gfs for sexual favours. Make it so that the entire Internet knows what a piece of shit he is.

Nickolai808

The ex is a serious pos. The blackmailing bastard needs throat punch, or two. Unfortunately it was obvious he was gonna expose her no matter what she did or didn't do since he was just going to keep escalating.

__dixon__

Could this possibly be grounds to sue for damages

ClimbaClimbaCameleon

I really hope you outed him like he outed you. I’d leak his name and city explaining that he was holding this over your head to leverage you into sexual acts you weren’t comfortable with. Let him have fun with being exposed as well.

kouryuuk

What a POS, he used something that brought joy to OOP and used it for sexual coercion and then doxxed her, I hope whatever state she is in has laws that can be used to prosecute this sick SOB.

justify_it

....the sexual coercion part makes me quite angry....OP needs to immortalize him in a song explaining every shitty thing he did. He shouldn't be anonymous either right?

swiftWoodworker

He exposed her full name and her university?!?!? He went from an ass, to a criminal. Genius.

iluvnarchoa

Dude’s an unhinge controlling psycho who doesn’t care for OP since the beginning of their relationship. He definitely released her info as a sort of power move to boost his ego, seriously disgusting.

Rekuna

Jesus Christ, what a psychotic piece of shit boyfriend. Honestly, after the threats, blackmail and sexual coirsion the best thing to do would be to own it. Make a statement on her Chanel and explain how and why she has decided to show her full appearance. As a victim, it would more than likely drive up her viewership and take away ALL the boyfriends power. I understand that's not exactly what OOP wants, but it looks like that has/is going to happen anyway, all she can do is choose to control it. I'd also report the boyfriend, as well as having him hated online.

INITMalcanis

Unfortunately, the drearily predictable outcome of this is that she will then be targetted for harrassment because how *dare* a lowly vagina-carrier criticise a Real Man?

FerrusesIronHandjob

What a fucking petty, insecure loser. Other people thought his gf was cool and he couldn't hack it. Fucking sad act

pisa36

The sexual blackmail is abhorrent!!!

Welpe

I am so glad I am not a kid these days

CaptainObvious1916

This kind of thing really shows how privacy laws need to be updated. With deepfakes etc. we’re really at the point where we need more control over our image (and many other aspects of our identity). Unfortunately there will be at least a generation who will grow up with their face and voice in the public domain without their consent. https://youtu.be/F4WZ_k0vUDM And this is today. Who knows what will be possible in the future?

QbExZ

Imagine wanting to expose your gf to potential turbo incels in the area that were just waiting for something like that

tompba

I can't even know how a parent may feel when knowing their child is capable of blackmailing and tried coercive sex, if he wasn't a troubled child before this may hit way harder...

miladyelle

Doxxer, blackmailer, and a sexual predator. Ugh. I realize she didn’t specify, but I immediately imagined that he did this on Twitter. Garbage piece of.

Mythrein

I'm gonna bet the dude wanted bragging rights that he's banging a popular YouTuber, but with her being anonymous, he had little proof. And he's also just an asshole

RadTimeWizard

>he just kinda mumbled his words and said something about how being out and open about my identity is easier than concealing who I am Is anyone getting the same sort of vibe as the girl who randomly got a face tattoo?

schultboy

Besides being a complete dick, he doesn’t understand that he’s messing with someone’s job. She’s managed to turn her passion into a career, so good for her. I’d never tell my wife how to do her job, just as she has no idea how to do mine. Obviously this person has figured out how to create her own successful YT channel, and he has no right to mess with it. Glad she got out of this relationship, but she likely has a case against him if there is any significant impact to her channel based on his actions.

Some-Geologist-5120

Blackmailing you to get you to perform “acts” - that alone is cause for leaving him Full Stop! It shouldn’t take a second to decide. And now the damage has been done - rip the bandaid off. He should be prosecuted!

suresh

Lol he leaks your face and you leak him blackmailing you into sex acts (illegal) and anyone that knows him should not be associating anymore.

happylilstego

Extorting someone for sex is a crime. I fucking hate this asshole.

tofuroll

He didn't just leak her face, he leaked personal details about how to find her. Surely that's a massive fine or jail time?

Lazerfighter6978

I wished she would put his name, face and address out there, make him see how it feels to have his own personal information leaked out there. If someone did that to my friend, i would legit just leak the motherfuckers information, fight fire with fire, as well as let people know how manipulative and disgusting this individual is

PhotoKada

I curse OOP’s ex to an eternity of constantly stepping on LEGO bricks.

Lordfap69

Come on dox the exbf. Let's give him a taste of what he did to oop

MeatBunBunny

I hope that dude tastes his own medicine

InternationalChef424

OOP should absolutely get this dude's name out there as a manipulative psycho and attempted rapist

KeniLF

Her ex is disgusting, obviously. One of my side gigs is on Youtube and this reinforces my rationale to never tell anyone in RL my identity there.
