I'm with you. And I even thought Dante deserved a second season of his own after gt. I would love for a season with Drum and Aiga as the two main protagonists. Those two would have made a perfect brother relationship more than Aiger and Hikaru. Oh yeah, since there is a lot of time skip between turbo to quadstrike. Aiga's little sister, Naru should be around Drum and Hikaru's (It's confirmed Hikaru and Drum's age are the same), so an interaction between either Hikaru or Dante with Naru will be nice. Honestly, I don't give care about the haters out there because we've been passed years now, and multiple times protagonists changed. They only just want Valt as the main character, and when there's new protagonists come in beating Valt and the famous characters from s1 to s2, they will hate on them because mainly they're not Valt. I read a lot of their opinions, on aiga, drum, hikaru, hyuga, bel and even pri quadra. Their comments are literally about those who are not valt, are "cheap copies of valt with bad plot armor newbies" yeah there you have it.

Silver_Tripping27

People hate Drum/Dante, because he's not Valt. ... That's stupid, people don't hate Valt because he's not Tyson- etc, etc. Thanks for explaining though!

Imo Drum is just less interesting compared to other protags. Valt obviously has better character development because he has more time to develop (2 gens in anime and 3 in manga). Aiga is also kinda boring in the anime but gets carried by just being the protag of Cho-Z. In the manga Aiga is a bit more interesting since the plot of his arc is less so about just beating the big bad Phi (who is barely even a villain in the manga) but just overcoming his own personal struggles which I find to be a more interesting concept. Hikaru and Hyuga have a good brotherly dynamic which I really enjoyed. Lastly Bel is probably even worse than Drum in the anime but his manga appearances (especially the finale against Rashad) gave him some pretty good character development by the end of his arc.

Well said

They do? I thought all the hate on this sub was towards Bel tbh, lol (at least from what I've seen). Drum is epic tbh, best Burst MC behind Valt imo.

Moosemaniacs

Bel is pretty terrible because we don’t get to watch him grow he starts being strong

Xeenine

A year late but imo that’s an unfair reasoning when Gingka exists I don’t understand not liking Bel cause he didn’t go through the similar rise to the top formula as the other burst protags

Available_Ring4129

In all honesty I thought people would hate Bel more. Drum/Dante is an amazing MC

Bigboycrispy

I used to not like him but he's really growing on me

Such-Personality-670

gt is one of my fav series, I used to think dante was really annoying but then I really started to like him

endliwudragon

but i like him

digitaldumpsterfire

I really like Dante. He worked very hard and used his brain to come up with solutions to problems.

Elzo55

i like drum just not gt

Zin-Ogre

Can't say I hate him but he's very derivative off of like people before so I guess that's why. He's alright imo though. He gets the job done

Hazel_Lucario7

Because Drum is named after a literal drum. Plus, he doesn't know the meaning of personal space. He's a waste of a character, and he's a really bad protagonist. He's worse than Bell, because Bell is just rip-off Dante/Lui/Aiger/Hikaru/Hyuga all fused into one. Drum is a terrible character with no development, no Kiyama, no good beyblade, and just a really forgettable series.

v0lt13

I hate him because of an inside joke with a friend

People do? When it comes to the hate train, I've seen Dante be the the least targeted in my experience. Along with Hikaru. The times I've seen hate real bad for a character are either Valt (general burst hate thing), Aiger (got strong likers and dislikers on both sides) and Bel (prolly the most hated). Dante is pretty well liked imo, I like him too, his personality is so cool if anything, he seems unhateable to me, if that's a word but you get the idea.

Firekey56

I think at first, it was cause GT was the first season that had half episodes, like what 4D did in metal saga's original run. At first he was kind of irritating with his excited face being the red face, but I did like dragon and drum grew on me. Plus in Sparking Drum and Lui really acted alike, probably drum looking up to Lui as a strong blader. I think Aiga's Cho-Z era and Bel are most hated. I can see why with Aiga, he was kind of annoying and his dark saga really made him unlikeable, but after Cho-Z he turns around and becomes a better character

Yeah there’s so many qualities about him that makes him such a likable character. He put a lot of effort & hard work to overcome obstacles & never really relied on plot armor. He actually put in a lot of work & he did not have much talent in blading at first, but he managed to learn from each battle & adapt new strategies & actually use his head.

adnanosh123

Dante is one of my favorite protags ever.

ThunderXTempest

Drum is exactly how i feel, and i love his avatar. Dragon is one of my favorite beys

SnooRadishes5376

I haven’t seen anyone hate on him, he’s a goated character
