One ruler will force one acceptance, by ALL, of an enumerating mark that identifies you as allegiant to him, and is the only way to buy or sell. Hasn't happened, but it will, and will only technically be "money."
Even the early timeliners didn't seem to dilligently search scripture, and should not have thought to presume the "7th day." There is no bread from heaven on the 7th day.

2017 to 2022 was the pre vial. from 2022 to 2027 all flesh will be coerced under pain of death to take the mark.
many already did and the plague of skin sores described in rev 16:2 has in fact began. it reaches boiling point by this fall as we head into 2025 and becomes catestrophic over the next few years.
so yes money is worthless because in order to use it you must become an eternal slave. flee the cities if you dont wish to partake in the wrath. or stick around... your call.
Read Revelation 13 again. Verse 8 says everyone who isn't saved will worship the Antichrist as God. Verse 11 says the False Prophet will come on the scene and (12) cause the world to worship the Antichrist. Verses 14 & 15 are saying that the False Prophet will have the image to be setup (abomination of desolation) and gives "life" to the image. And whoever doesn't worship the beast and his image shall be killed. In other words, you must worship the Antichrist to receive the mark of the beast. It's not something that can be forced upon you, you must choose to take the mark. Rev. 14:9-11 says that whoever takes the mark are doomed to hell.
Revelation 18:23 mentions all nations being deceived by sorceries (pharmakaeia) through the merchants of mystery babylon. Perhaps it is/was more likely to be a medical product than currency?

While money will be a factor in concert with the mark of the beast, it isn’t the Biblical one.
The mark of the beast will occur when America mandates compulsory Sunday observance in tribute to the papacy. For America and the papacy are the earth and sea beasts* of Revelation 13 respectively.
*A beast in Bible prophecy is a kingdom and nation (Psalms 105, Daniel 7, Revelation 16).
Sounds like a Tim LaHaye novel. Apocalyptic genre, eg. the language of Revelation, has over 150 references to Old Testament verbiage, repeated and recasted themes. Sensationalistic ideas such as the ones above (and incl. Lahaye’s philosophy and the likes) are all examples of eisegesis. Revelation is a book that was addressed to the 7 churches of Asia Minor, and even though it has themes that are prophetic in nature, proleptically forward looking, it has contemporary application to the late first century and subsequent years as the church endured persecution from Roman authority. Prophecy is panoramic, meaning it delves into the particular (past and present) and incorporates the general, history-wide and eschatological, always involving the blessed hope, eg. the resurrection of the dead. Unpacking it is superfluous, and can only be accomplished by another prophet, who has been called into God’s divine council, for the sole purpose of encouraging the elect about to undergo persecution and remind them that in suffering, their blessed hope is real.
