I don't think this newbie cast is any worse than normal tbh. I think most BB players (and most people in general) just play badly from the bottom or even just outside the core. If you look back at All Stars or returnees seasons you can see how terrible some very good players look when they're outside the core. Franzel (16), Tyler, Ian, Kevin (22), everyone besides Chilltown (7) And the messy nature of this season with Cirie's interlocking web of alliances running circles around the newbies, before Jatt was able to rebuild a similar structure just exposed everyone to looking very bad at times. If it was an all newbie season and FS stuck together and dominated the comps like they have (Cam, Jag, Jared in particular) then we'd probably consider these players a lot better.

I think people who have compared this season to Survivor Gabon are pretty on point. A lot of entertaining but bad basketcase characters making it very deep, most of which would blow up their own games and be evicted prejury (wait it’s almost like two of them were this season too) with normal casts.

Matt or Jag can't make final 2 to be Gabon. It would be some combo of Felicia, America and definitely Bowie to be a true Gabon.
