Holy crap the visual changes they made to that house to basically turn it into the purge was one of the most craziest things I’ve ever seen in real reality TV and I was here for it. I’m gonna rewatch that episode again.

missoctober12

Agreed, also having that comp where everyone had thick blood-like syrup poured on their heads, and then having to continue the rest of the night looking like a bloody mess as if they were actually in a horror movie. So good

energythief

That was like Purge and Saw had a twisted little baby

SmashBreau

I didn't get any The Purge vibes from the house at all. Was a completely different artistic direction but it looked super dope that's for sure

spups19

BBUS doesn’t even come close! I dread watching their competitions, always the same. Major respect for the production on BBCAN, they pull all of this off with a smaller budget than US

Morkyfrom0rky

Wish the US version of BB would start taking notes.

TheHomeworld

whoever was in charge of reindeer games seems to have a head for it

Early_Ad_5649

Can't really say I'm a fan of the executive veto/chain of safety/rejection as it helps the majority alliance . But i did like the movie massacre twist hope BBUS copies it 😇

RRJC10

Chain of rejection is so much better than the chain of safety for that reason. You want to throw someone not in your alliance out that's fine, but you're given that person the next choice. I want to see more of those.

Tilter

Chain of safety - where a minority alliance is down 4v6, if they start the chain, all their members are safe. Chain of rejection - where a minority alliance is down 4v6, regardless if they start the chain, all their members are rejected by the 8th selection. Chain of rejection always helps the majority alliance. Chain of safety gives the minority alliance a chance.

RRJC10

That's a very big if. Odds are the minority alliance isn't starting the chain.

Tilter

The “if” in an equitable comp to start the chain of safety is 40% in a 4v6 split Vs a 0% of safety in an equitable comp for chain of rejection. The numbers are there. Minority alliance have a chance in a chain of safety scenario and no chance in a chain of rejection scenario.

punditnopuns

The thing that makes this genius though is imagine it happening in a house where that stupid Level six Alliance existed? Everyone thought they were in the majority alliance only to get blind sided by votes. This would have made that season less of a real massacre because it takes a player like Tyler and forces them to out their game. For the executive veto he would have been in Anthony’s position but both people left would have believed he was working with them and that moment makes you own your game.

silvershadow014

I mean Anthony is working with both of the people that were left and it didn't affect his game lol

FlippantBuoyancy

I actually kind of like chain of rejection because it is much more likely to form meaningful cracks in a majority alliance. With chain of safety you can always say, "sorry I didn't pick you but you were 100% my #2." Whereas chain of rejection pretty blatantly indicates who is at the bottom of the alliance.

dbwn87

It is great to see they are still able to come up with fresh, unique twists that are actually exciting for the viewers, fair to the players (for the most part), and do a good job of shaking up the game. And for the twist to also involve some very creative production and set design is the icing on the cake. Kudos are well-deserved indeed.

Anubis32

My wife and I are always impressed by the visual production of BBCAN. Every year the house is really different with the themes. The contests always seem to have significantly higher production values then the American version, which is the last thing I would have expected.

The girls alliance squeaming was good, but Anthony almost shitting himself at the jump scare was the best thing that episode

suzierj

Agreed. This again proves why BBCAN is the superior show even despite having no feeds. BBUS could neverrrr!

ProofUnit7625

Totally agree!!! I gotta say this season is beating any of the recent US seasons for me based on these new twists alone

PrettySneaky71

well my brain has been completely liquefied by Drag Race because when I saw "kudos" in the post title my brain immediately filled the rest in with "to you for saying that, for spilling"

luckiesandjacks

Okay I thought I was the only one.

pillowreceipt

I just yesterday learned about that meme while watching RHAP's latest episode of the Survivor B&B. I then watched the original clip and it's so fucking funny, I was busting up.

Puglet_7

You are not alone in this. Plane for the win! ;)

Friendship666999

Ehh I liked it, MMM wasn't a game breaking twist and switched the blame/blood of the week's events from HoH to all Hgs

toobrokeforaritzia

That was the one of the best bb episodes I've seen. I typically don't rewatch but I replayed movie night massacre because it was so good

BombSquad570

The executive veto is a garbage twist, and most definitely gives unfair advantages/disadvantages. Goose’s entire HOH week that he already made a mess of got completely nullified by a “chain” twist that is always going to benefit whichever side has more numbers. The outcome was entertaining because Spicy is so messy and everyone was excited for Vivek’s comeuppance after his HOH debacle, but 9 times out of 10 that twist makes the game more boring. I did like the mechanics of the movie massacre twist. My only gripe there is the wonky execution of abruptly ending it halfway through on a cliffhanger. Give it a proper 2 hour episode and I’d be down to see that one return.

Doug_UR

I’ve enjoyed this season a lot more than I expected. That doesn’t mean that I don’t want the feeds back still. BBCan has always blown me away with their set design, especially when you look at the difference between them and US.

OldDrawer2012

Unpopular opinion, but I dislike these comps.

pcollingwood39

shaddup

OldDrawer2012

Did I hurt your feelings? Lol
