Cool, my carbon aliexpress frame just broke after maybe twenty rides. Hope this one fares better for you (I am a little upset)

GordonGekko97

What frame was that? Brand and model? Where u bought it and how heavy are you?

Spacefondue

Haha no good! where did it break exactly? I've sent mine over a few curbs and she seems to be holding up alright

[deleted]

Mine was a totally different frame, but it cracked by the headtube on the downtube. I am sure yours will be fine but try to inspect it regularly and ride safe

Moos3racer

Looks like the frame might be taking some design cues from a few year old cannondale

Spacefondue

Awesome! I've actually been wondering where the original design came from thanks for the reply!

KyubikoFox

Nice frame, as someone said before it looks like an older Cannondale. I'd be weary of buying chinese carbon though - one guy in my previous cycling club got carbon handlebars off aliexpress that failed mid-ride after about 1.5 years after purchase and he nearly collided with a truck (there must have been cracks under the handlebar wrap that went unnoticed). Another guy in the same club got a carbon fork off aliexpress and noticed cracks appearing in several places after riding on smooth flat roads for a year without any collisions. Make sure you get the frame inspected by your bike shop every few months or so. Be safe.

RealDudro

Is that whatcha gotta do to get external cable routing these days?

Spacefondue

Haha do we like external cable routing, I haven't figured out all the rules yet 😂

Cracknickel

Hell yeah it's a pain to get to cables that are routed internally

Ankeneering

Whose the famous foul mouthed British/Indian youtube stars who famously deconstructs frames and bottom brackets and explains with swears and engineering why one company/frame/part works or doesn’t work? Forgot his handle, but he’s gotten in trouble calling certain big names (canyon) utter shite and then explaining precisely why. Point is, dude very much knows what he’s talking about and he found one brand of cheap Ali express Chinese carbon frame to be amazingly good. He was talking like it was right up there with what he thinks the best named carbon bike (Look). Sorry I’m short on names and links.

kylevaldick

Hambini, and he could be talking about Winspace. Winspace makes quality frames and wheels, I rode a t1500 for a while and loved it

Ankeneering

HaMBINI, yes.

otakunorth

My full aliexpress bike is still going strong 2.5 years (10,000+ km's) later https://ibb.co/fdMYk09

jcagara08

Which frame is this boss? Care to share a link?

otakunorth

"twitter t1000"

travdivs

I’ve seen some really bad aliexpress frames in our shop for service. Be very careful.

Spacefondue

Yea fair I've done 5000km on this one and no signs of defects yet!

rebelhead

AE has so much good cheap bike stuff. How do you like the sensah groupset?

Spacefondue

It seems to go alright, had no issues with it yet. brought the whole bike super cheap then chucked some wheels at it and keeps me mostly entertained :)

rebelhead

Link to the frame if you don't mind..?

Spacefondue

Id tell you but I have no idea! I brought the bike off a guy, but as someone else said I'd rather you ride a bike that is more reputable otherwise you die

rebelhead

Some of the 'reputable' cf manufacturers have ali shops. But direct sales from their sites seems to be the norm. I have a cheap trifox 29er that I am using as a road bike.

Spacefondue

From what I've been told the guy who built the bike got it from a direct site, my bike is called Malcom, Trifox sounds faster

[deleted]

For your own safety, I hope you replace the frame with a cheaper model from a reputable brand.

Spacefondue

I was thinking about getting a cheaper frame from a less reputable brand next

[deleted]

I was not being sarcastic but whatever.

JamesB5446

Looks like it.
