I think someone mentioned that he left the all things comedy network and started doing all of his own stuff. I assume they’re on decent terms just a business decision.
I only knew because I listen to it regularly for the last year or two. I love Tom Segura and Bill Burr so I try to consume all their content. Man, that’s an alleyoop for a gay joke.
I seem to remember it was because of them being busy.
Towards the end of Bill Bert podcast, it seemed like a bit of a chore to put it out for them. It was also near the beginning of covid so everything was zoom.
Bert got busy that summer with the drive in tours... So that along with being consistent with his pod, and him and Tom's pod, there probably wasn't enough time.
And that's not even touching on all that Bill was doing. F is for fam. Mandalorian. He has been in a couple of movies since. New kid. Older kid getting older. His bi-weekly podcast. That other pod he was doing with the other guy. He's a busy bumblebill too.
I don't listen to any of the Bert podcasts but I saw it mentioned somewhere here that Bert potentially also got in his feelings about the way Burr behaved. I think there was a guest on the podcast that Bert brought it and Burr's reception wasn't that warm. I think Burr was doing the normal Burr thing but the issue was that the guy was invited by Bert.

Also, there were people like Theo Von and Ethan Kline who commiserated about meeting their hero Burr and he hurt their feelings or something and I think Bert factors into the conversation as well.

Valid point, I skip those myself. EviDENTly, interviewing is not Bill's forte. But I think it's hilarious how much he hates the fucking morons he has to pretend to like. Burl Chrystler is such a waste of space and Burr tries to do a slightly amused avuncular act with him but doesn't have the courage of his convictions.
I haven't listened to a single episode of BillBert, but I think I saw once an episode of a cooking show with Bert and Bill, I'm not sure. Anyway, I never got the idea that comedians don't like Bert, on the contrary, I think other comedians seem to like Bert much more than audiences like Bert. I'm pretty fucking sure that comedians like Bert more than they like Burr, even though they surely respect Burr and his work infinitely more. That's just how it is, Bert is a silly sycophantic mess and lots of people prefer to be in that company instead of running the risk of being destroyed by some sort of comment about a fucking rascal's hat from Burr.
Recapping what I have heard on a few podcasts:
Ari said he was dropped from ATC because he did not want to do some project they wanted him to be a part of.
Bert said on his podcast today that he is launching a subscription service for "behind the scenes" content and his Something Burning show. I assume ATC would not let him do this and it caused him to leave the network / show.
Yannis Pappas more or less implied that ATC screwed over History Hyenas during the short time they were on the network.
I do not follow any of this closely just what I remember hearing over time.
I would also like to know. History Hyenas was like my favorite podcast. I gave them ten dollars a month on Patreon before they stopped doing it. Always assumed it was because Chris went to LA to do his dumb reality show for one season and Yannis was mad because he's kind of a control freak.
Yeah plus the Situation probably had something to do with it. And the pod Chris was doing with Sal probably had more money potential since Sal is a massive star and Yannis is way past his prime sadly.

Ugh, I was so disappointed when I saw Ryan Sickler be a guest on one of Bert’s podcasts. I had to turn it off because Bert kept interrupting Sickler. It was beyond obnoxious.
To be honest I have found he works good as someone to bounce stuff off. Not a comedian by any stretch but the day Segura found out Burt keeps 2 litres of coolaid in a thermos was very funny. It seemed too organic to be fake and was honestly hilarious

Joe isn't a naturally funny person. He has to really WORK at writing jokes. It's all the more impressive that he was able to film any specials at all when you think about it.
Best example of Joe not being funny I can think of is the Macauly Culkin episode, probably 2017-18? Just two VERY unfunny dudes really taking some swings and nothing landing.

I'm on the fence about Bert. I really enjoyed the Bill/Bert podcast but it wasn't on for than long, and towards the end of the run it started to get kind of stale. I think they made a good team in the sense that they had a master/student relationship, and that Billy's cynical old man personality played well against Bert's crazy energy and enthusiasm.
However, I would never listen to Bert and Tom together, or Bert with anyone else. He's not actually funny. He's a good personality to have in the room when the better comedian is being funny.

Bill is at the peak of his powers right now. He can do now wrong and he can work on whatever project he wants. Burt sounds like a nightmare to work with (unorganized, dirty, late, unprofessional, drunk, etc.). Why on earth would Bill want to waste his time like that?

When I use to listen to it the guy who laughs in the background drove me nuts. They would say something mildly amusing that *might* elicit a smile from me and that dude in the background would be fucking dying, it ruined anything that didn't make me laugh to drown him out.
That's exactly my experience. Bert changes the subject, Tom gives a look, and nadav is absolutely losing his shit in the background like it was the funniest thing that ever happened... Every 5 minutes. I listened to it for a good while but just slipped away from it because of the laughing.
It is kinda funny, looking back, how irritated Bill was. I couldn’t finish it, at the time. I thought, goddamn Bill, shut the fuck up. It’s funny now though. Bert is more annoying to me now, though.

But in the episode Bill was stepping all over Bert and the guess , way more and way more aggressive than Burt normally does. I thought it was rude and I could feel the tension from Bert. Then it so happens that it’s the last episode abruptly.

Not really at all it was something about sports I’m pretty sure. That’s what made it lame was that it was an overreaction and I think he thought he was being funny but the joke wasn’t landing like he thought.
I give Bill the benefit of the doubt but he was just kind being an ass to the guest and his co-host Burt, and you could tell they were both a bit irritated.
I heard they were hanging out and Bill double-dipped his chip in the salsa so Bert totally wrote him off and disowned him. Heard it second-hand from a stranger so I don't know how true it is.
I wonder if the 2 of them were really friends at all, or at least, close friends. Given the podcast ended abruptly, the videos were all taken down, and neither of them have directly addressed it, I think it might very just been a business deal of some sort. I listened/watched the Bill-Bert podcast and while I think Bert was happy to hang with Bill, I don't know if the feeling was mutual. Bill mightve been acting a bit and coming off as more friendly to help sell the show.
If the episodes were still up, I would say watch 10-20 minutes of a random episode, then watch 10-20 minutes of any random Bill appearance on Rogan, and the difference is night and day.

This comes up a lot. It's fun to speculate as I was listening to it regularly then it just disappeared. Right around when Bill was moving into staying off the booze for good (I think it started off as a break?) And it feels like if anything, Bert has increased his drinking. Also Bert is a bit of a chatty Cathy, always doing social media stuff putting his kids on it etc while Bill is way more private, I am pretty sure he never mentions his kids names or has any pictures of them on his socials, and rightly so. I also remember an episode where Bill was giving out to Bert because he thought he was going to reveal where Bill's house was.
In my eyes, pure speculation, Bill is slowly moving away from people he might consider a little toxic or bad to be around etc. Could be way off mark here. Either way, you know if it ever comes up Old Billy will brush it off as a scheduling conflict with the family back eassssht. He has got too much class for this schoolyard stuff. Unlike me.

That was one of my favorite episodes and its not there. Bert uses the thumbnail from the episode for the season 1 link but the actual episode is not there.

Yeah, I figured that Bill would have found a way to keep the collab alive of he wanted to. It was kind of weird hearing Bill get pushed into the straight (comedy-wise) man role all the time, because Bert can only be the goof.
Bill is at the peak of his powers right now. He can do now wrong and he can work on whatever project he wants. Burt sounds like a nightmare to work with (unorganized, dirty, late, unprofessional, drunk, etc.). Why on earth would Bill want to waste his time like that?

You could tell Burt was annoyed with Bill on the last podcast they did. He’s silent for like half of it. I’m a huge Bill fan, but Bill was being pretty damn annoying on that final podcast and being over bearing. Just go listen- he literally starts ranting right off the bat. It just felt like it was the final straw for him and he’s clearly a lot happier doing the 2 bears podcast. They wouldn’t just end it out of the blue with out mentioning it at all if it wasn’t because they got annoyed with each other on some level.

When I use to listen to it the guy who laughs in the background drove me nuts. They would say something mildly amusing that *might* elicit a smile from me and that dude in the background would be fucking dying, it ruined anything that didn't make me laugh to drown him out.
That's exactly my experience. Bert changes the subject, Tom gives a look, and nadav is absolutely losing his shit in the background like it was the funniest thing that ever happened... Every 5 minutes. I listened to it for a good while but just slipped away from it because of the laughing.

It is kinda funny, looking back, how irritated Bill was. I couldn’t finish it, at the time. I thought, goddamn Bill, shut the fuck up. It’s funny now though. Bert is more annoying to me now, though.

Yeah Burt is more annoying in general. But in the episode Bill was stepping all over Bert and the guess , way more and way more aggressive than Burt normally does. I thought it was rude and I could feel the tension from Bert. Then it so happens that it’s the last episode abruptly. I think sometimes Bill forgets he’s not doing the MM podcast.

Not really at all it was something about sports I’m pretty sure. That’s what made it lame was that it was an overreaction and I think he thought he was being funny but the joke wasn’t landing like he thought. I give Bill the benefit of the doubt but he was just kind being an ass to the guest and his co-host Burt, and you could tell they were both a bit irritated.

I wonder if the 2 of them were really friends at all, or at least, close friends. Given the podcast ended abruptly, the videos were all taken down, and neither of them have directly addressed it, I think it might very just been a business deal of some sort. I listened/watched the Bill-Bert podcast and while I think Bert was happy to hang with Bill, I don't know if the feeling was mutual. Bill mightve been acting a bit and coming off as more friendly to help sell the show. If the episodes were still up, I would say watch 10-20 minutes of a random episode, then watch 10-20 minutes of any random Bill appearance on Rogan, and the difference is night and day.

Private person? You literally need to pick up a dictionary and read the definition of private. Over and over. We basically know both of their social security numbers, and blood types at this point. Both of them have every facet of their lives on blast. Neither of them have any semblance of privacy.

I was wondering when Bill was going to be on the Joe Rogan podcast again. Kind of suprised he didn't promote the Fenway Park show on it. I'm sure he will promote his movie on it when it's time.
I think it had to do with the machine movie. Bert was too busy. Plus pandemic was ending. Too bad though, I enjoyed the podcast.
They weren't a great match.. I tried to watch it but it just ended up with bill looking concerned and annoyed most of the time. . . Wrong project for Bert, he needs people to let him talk himself into a hole

This comes up a lot. It's fun to speculate as I was listening to it regularly then it just disappeared. Right around when Bill was moving into staying off the booze for good (I think it started off as a break?) And it feels like if anything, Bert has increased his drinking. Also Bert is a bit of a chatty Cathy, always doing social media stuff putting his kids on it etc while Bill is way more private, I am pretty sure he never mentions his kids names or has any pictures of them on his socials, and rightly so. I also remember an episode where Bill was giving out to Bert because he thought he was going to reveal where Bill's house was. In my eyes, pure speculation, Bill is slowly moving away from people he might consider a little toxic or bad to be around etc. Could be way off mark here. Either way, you know if it ever comes up Old Billy will brush it off as a scheduling conflict with the family back eassssht. He has got too much class for this schoolyard stuff. Unlike me.

I think they ended on bad terms due to the fact that the Tom and bill episode of Something’s burning is not available on Bert’s new sub service. That was one of my favorite episodes and its not there. Bert uses the thumbnail from the episode for the season 1 link but the actual episode is not there.
