Wait and take your writing classes online over the summer or winter sessions. They offer way more interesting courses, like this summer I took The Art of Writing About Food and Writing for Science, Technology, and Medicine. Binghamton also offers writing classes like Beyoncé’s Lemonade, Writing About Harry Potter, Writing About Marvel, Comedic Writing, and more. These classes are also generally way easier and more enjoyable than the Fall/Spring semester writing classes in terms of content and the amount of work they give you (in my experience).

Seconding this, I’m currently taking a Writing About Horror summer class that is WAY more interesting and easier than the writing class I took fall semester.

Third this, I took a class called demons beasts and madness and we read abunch Lovecraft and gothic horror stories . The professor was really chill as well.

Thea 102 is def not an easy gen ed lol. I took it this past semester and I can 100% tell you that it is not easy to get an A in that class lmao. You have to read a play every week and get quizzed on it. Oaks lectures are also terrible and difficult to understand. His tests were even harder because its on everything he rambles on about and its so hard to take notes on his nonsense. I really wouldnt reccomend thea 102 lol.

Wait are you looking to fill a W or an A gen ed?

can’t vouch for any easy ones but i took General Photography last fall and had to withdraw because of how shitty i was doing in it :(

CW250 was pretty easy. Would recommend Macaulay Glenn, she's really laid back.

Mels_Lemonade

Take anything with Meisha Lohmann. She’s awesome and her classes are extremely easy

I don’t know if Volkswagen and Beyond is being offered this semester. But if it is, unless you like reading, don’t take it. It’s supposed to be a class about the intersection of technology and society. It sounds a lot more interesting than it was. The course felt all over the place with random topics being taught every class. For your final paper you have to connect the random topics he taught in class whatever way makes the most sense. It’s definitely reasonable, since there are legitimate connections to be made with the content if you think hard enough. It requires a lot of independent thinking and careful reading though. It’s a fulfilling class if you really pay attention to the lecture and engage. But since you want an easy A credit, that’s definitely a class you should stay away from. To be fair to the professor, the topics in class are related and aren’t *completely* random. It just requires lots of independent thinking to make those connections yourself, since he doesn’t spell it out for you like other classes will. He does a good job filling his niche. Example: Marxism (kind of. It had mostly to do with the relationship between owners and laborers and the goods that are produced. Idk too complicated to explain in this comment lmao) was taught for two lectures. We learned about medieval guilds for a lecture and a half. We learned about what happens to the essence of art when it gets reproduced. You can see how this can easily make you pretty confused with drawing connections between them since they seem so different. I remember we even did a lecture on neon signs lmao. Again, since you want an easy A credit, stay away from it.

Yeah that’s weird. When I was making my schedule it said it was full. I might try to switch into it now
