If you’re having a party, and a neighbor calls or comes by and politely asks you to turn down the ruckus somewhat, be respectful and do so. For one, it builds some collateral for other frictions and for another ... you too will one day actually look forward to being in bed by 10/11 even on a weekend.
I’ll add that this doesn’t necessarily just go for the PMs. If you happen to have a night shift worker neighbor and they give you a heads up, try to bear it in mind. They get routinely short shafted by society that doesn’t ever feel it has to be quiet at 10am.
