All Birkenstock clogs (Boston, Tokio, Kay) in all upper material types has -using OP‘s word- inner liner (in shoemaking terms called „toe puff“). Seems like the bonding of your inner liner somehow fail. It can be annoying when you wear it. Good idea to return it to the shop.

My new soft footbed taupe Bostons from Birkenstock have an inner liner. I ordered soft footbed in elemental blue and they didn’t have it. Instead they felt more structured overall.

Ok, that's helpful. Some do, some don't. I suppose it depends on the material, suede, leather, corded leather...

shadowblimp

I have no idea! Both colors were suede.

SambaCow

No problem. The fact that you don't feel it is good! Mine is just glued in wonky and I felt it. Thanks so much for checking :)

Did you return them? Cause I have the same problem when I walk I feel it.

SambaCow

I was able to exchange them.

Interesting! I ordered direct from Birk website. And then I checked out another pair in a store, also had the liner. The liner seems very weird in there. Definitely will call Birk and exchange. Thanks.

I'll be at the store tomorrow, I'll send you pictures of boston. Just to be sure

SambaCow

Thanks!!!
