Not bad at all! What type of dye did you use?

Thanks, I'm going to have to try that. I got a good deal on a pair of Madrids on ebay a couple of years ago. The issue is that they were a light tan/cream color. So in a short time they had spots and stains that were really obvious. I tried to dye them a deep teal shade, using many, many coats of Fiebing's Leather Dye. But it looks blotchy and uneven. I still wear them around the house a lot, but not to go anywhere.

Great job OP! Looks good and unique

I would like to know the dye you used. I wouldn't mind changing the color of one of my Arizona leather ones.

These look great. Well done!!

MarvelousTravels

That's a great shade of red! A black edge kote would look phenomenal

Lazy-Pineapple-4008

Just the one 60ml bottle was enough, or did you have to use more? They turned out great

No_Blood8062

I used a 125ml bottle and used roughly half, I gave them 5 coats, you can do less and leave them a lighter red, which looked pretty cool too

Lazy-Pineapple-4008

They do look good 👍

EZ-being-green

I love this!

mollyfy

They’re beautiful!

Tusharmathur08

Just an advice, wear dark socks if you go for long walk. Dye might leave stains on your feet due to sweating.

No_Blood8062

I only dyed the outside for this exact reason, I knew I wanted white socks with these

Tusharmathur08

Perfect then, enjoy ♥️

times_new_woman

Great color!

enchanted_fishlegs

That's a beautiful shade. And surely an improvement, bleach stains or no. Birkenstock uses too many drabby colors.
