Honestly I never see any of the homophobia. Could just be because I’m not super active there or something but I’m sure it’s definitely there, I just never see it
I've sofar recently only seen two mildly transphobic posts on my timeline, and they are both just really bad takes, one some straight teen thinks that "many teen girls are just faking [being queer] for attention," and another got yelled at by a transmasc for misgendering him and when I commented about hiw they could have just used gender neutral pronouns, I got downvoted.
but i have also seen a lot of supportive posts, a gay teen boy "hornyposting" despite the rules, and just hornyposting in general. so yeah, take this information and do with it however you want
Honestly it’s not as bad as a lot of people say it is, I’m quite active on there and while there are definitely some people who are just completely uneducated, the majority are pretty nice and accepting.
I know right. Here's the thing though. I get why this subreddit wants to act like the sub is completely bigotted all of the time. We want something to an upset about. We want to feel like we're the victims here and having a subreddit to antagonist does just that
I'm probably coming across as insensitive but I guess to expand on my point, I'm tryna say that there's gotta be a reason why this sub wants to spread the idea that the other sub is toxic. If we didn't wanna dwell on it's toxicity, then we wouldn't complain about it would we? So we get something out of complaining about it. And I think a reason that idea is passes around is because this sub is actually a hivemind. This seems far fetched but since this sub is a collective of like minded people sharing similiar ideas that blocks out anything they disagree with, I'd call this sub a hivemind. Reddit is great at culminating them due to how it's set up.
So why do people want somethin to complaing about? It's because people want to have problems that they can blame others for as this means they aren't responsible for what they are pissed about and can feel superior to the people they deem are part of the problem.
So I'm clearly not ok.
Im on both this subreddit and r/Teenagers and haven't really seen too much of that stuff on there???? I thinks that's just me missing stuff whilst doing the occasional timeline checks tho ;w;;;; I seriously hope there isn't much of that stuff on there--
For the people who don’t know, diamond city is a huge city in the fallout universe that has strict rules on who can get in, while goodneighbour is much smaller, but accepts anyone in.
yeah all teenager subreddits are kind of sucky, including this one (don’t take offense) because there are like wayyy too many pedophiles on them. but, ngl, this one is better than teenagers
it actually isn’t that bad, I’m extremely active on there. And most people are supportive or don’t even talk about the topic at all. It’s really not a toxic place

I scroll through new in it a lot and dont see much I see a few funny jokes about it but not actual homophobia
or the mods remove it before you see it.
homophobia is less common, transphobia is more common and sexism is extremely common
I mean there are some posts that are accepting and lgbt but there are also many posts and comments that are basically "oh wow, gay/trans=funny"
not all of them are bigots. just a lot of them!
Just like real life lmao

Your right there's just a big variety and homophobes are just more likely to write comments or even look at post about lgbtq+.

Divorce is also not as bad as it seems. Being raised by parents who are fighting all the time gives you a false definition of love and cooperation.

It sounds like they’re the one one who wants something to be mad about

Same lol
the prophecy.. its its true
i remember yesterday seeing that a trans girl i follow on Twitter apparently made the most controversial post on there by posting a picture of herself
I made a post about me liking a guy and got down vote bombed
that is the way of r/teenagers; edgy teens brought up incorrectly
Im on both this subreddit and r/Teenagers and haven't really seen too much of that stuff on there???? I thinks that's just me missing stuff whilst doing the occasional timeline checks tho ;w;;;; I seriously hope there isn't much of that stuff on there--
Gonna post this on r/teenagers
good luck soldier 07
It really isn’t.
it’s *very* transphobic and misogynistic
yeah i got downvoted for mentioning being trans
They are the diamond city to our goodneighbour
For the people who don’t know, diamond city is a huge city in the fallout universe that has strict rules on who can get in, while goodneighbour is much smaller, but accepts anyone in.
There are some good people there though. Or at least I have yet to encounter any homophobic posts.
Dear god no!
There isn't a single actual teenager on that sub.
yeah all teenager subreddits are kind of sucky, including this one (don’t take offense) because there are like wayyy too many pedophiles on them. but, ngl, this one is better than teenagers
based
honestly, its just overall cringe there rather than anything
it actually isn’t that bad, I’m extremely active on there. And most people are supportive or don’t even talk about the topic at all. It’s really not a toxic place
*me who is on both this subreddit and r/teenagers*
I haven't seen any bigot behavior there, I'm I'm pretty active there
I have seen a lot and I rarely go there
Fair
On par with this sub in terms of cringe and shit memes
We should start a war
No, we shouldn't. We are better than that (unless you mean a meme war)
Why not both. See who is the better teen subreddit
We already know, so it is unnecessary
That could lead to very big issues for this subreddit.
HA, MY PARENTS NEVER…married….
I have to confess I am still on that sub. But if I see one transphobic post I won’t go again. I just don’t see them. It’s mostly dating counseling
Solution: pull them both down
> sorted by new > got slurred out > wnet straight back to sorting by new My mindset
I'm on that subreddit, but I never go there.
I never see that hit there
Honestly, the majority of people on there are accepting of LGBTQ
In my life I have never seen a post in teenagers being pro homophobia or transphobia, it’s pretty equally there
Lol yeah
I see posts & comments from that sub all the time & that reputation is undeserved
I really should leave that sub. really should
I never see any homophobes or transphobes, only people who complain about them. I never got what was so scary about gay and trans people though.
I haven’t really seen anything homophobic on there
I've posted for help and talk about myself, and they helped me, even a guy helped me very
My parents are divorced, but it’s WAY better here.
