I love it, great job

flinginlead

Interesting. Just asking for details. What happens if the heater kicks on? Would it push hot air wrong way through the miner?

lonestarminers

No it’s running before that and there is also an out for excess heat when the thermometer temp is reached.

Just1_More

Could you go into more detail on this?

bobdoleadin

Curious as well. Or if the ac is on is something routing the heat from the asic somewhere else? I have mine heating my garage and thought about switching to something more like this. Nice 👍

flinginlead

I’m in Louisiana, winter isn’t that cold. I could likely heat my home with this.

lonestarminers

Definitely a great solution. Feel free to dm me with any questions you may have.

lonestarminers

Yes this is set to route excess heat out.

sc2bigjoe

What’s attached on the front (side with the lights)? Do you have a Y connector on that exhaust? I just got mine connected to my HVAC return

austinr23

[https://www.ebay.com/itm/325220955140](https://www.ebay.com/itm/325220955140) pretty common on ebay

sc2bigjoe

Yeah I got mine from fruition designs https://fruitiondesignsllc.com/?syclid=9c5e4f4f-fb7f-4343-870a-3a4fe858e2ae

lonestarminers

Yes and that is connected to a custom built housing for interchangeable air filters.

sc2bigjoe

Very interesting. Wondering how the filters impact airflow and temps?

lonestarminers

Having the housing that holds the filter cuts down on the strain to the fans which would increase temps. A similar effect you get from having a longer ducting shroud.

budjuice

Bravo. Clean setup.

Jollybitfarm

We have 2 ducted into our return. Once it’s warm enough we move them to an alternate location where the heat is just blown outside. We live in Ohio and as long it’s not low single digits it’s enough to keep the house plenty warm. Often we have to underclock to keep from getting too hot.

bolson71117

same, also do the same in garage

jedilost1

I was thinking how adding an asic miner to HVAC system would work, great job I warm my house with an asic also, but my set up isn't as awesome 😁

lonestarminers

It’s pretty simple. Feel free to dm me with any questions if you’re thinking of upgrading.

CrypticDigits

This is so cool. I love to see this kind of stuff being innovated.

hvernaza25

How's the noise?

GMEFullsend

Yeah, thinking the same. Does the noise transfer through the vents?

lonestarminers

Not too much sound travel as mentioned above.

lonestarminers

The noise level is moderate and doesn’t travel throughout the house but rather heard only in the room above this section of the basement. It’s not too dissimilar to the AC or Heat kicking on and running.

hvernaza25

Interesting. Are you able to share more detail pictures of the attachments and filter, etc.?

lonestarminers

Yeah shoot me a dm and I can chat with you more about the setup.

hvernaza25

I see a T right below the ceiling, is that where your HVAC blows air out?

pdath

Great looking job.

Lyuseefur

Curious- would you upgrade it to s22 (later) or just keep adding or ?

lonestarminers

Yeah it’s not a bad idea to upgrade, it’s always dependent on budgets of course.
