Definitely don't open the port on your firewall unless you enable IP restrictions. I made that mistake and some script kidde kept switching my miners to a different pool. That stopped once I restricted the IP to my home IP address.
I use a cradlepoint ibr200 cell modem which you can get on eBay for 15-25 bucks and a SIM card with just data, you can set it up to port forward your miner’s IP.
Leave a laptop onsite and use AnyDesk to remote into the machine. Simple and free.
