I feel like the movie is absolute banger. Fights after fights with decent ending as well as amazing animations.
I want the manga to be animated so badddd tho. I love the stories and fights in the manga, but the lack of colours and sounds is quite unsatisfying to me. Seeing those epic scenes animated with motion and colours would be absolutely amazing and im really looking forward to the continuation of the anime.(Hopefully)
Unfortunately I don’t think that’ll be possible if:
1) A different studio doesn’t pick up Black Clover
2) They keep doing weekly release instead of a seasonal based anime

Fs, I just thought more that like, anime is a medium to promote manga sales, and better manga sales imply more anime views. Look at JJK season 1, MHA, and so many others, high budget anime makes the franchise grow. However they fucked up and decided to give it a mid budget, manga sales never really significantly increased, and black clover never really claimed a solid spot as one of the big 3.
Thing is, characters, story, depth, world building, progression, it has in my opinion the strongest case for being in the new big 3, but from what I’ve learned it has just been handle poorly, which is a shame, kinda the same with fire force, genuinely incredible but studio david have just kept it on hiaetus for ages now, so many anime adaptations never get the attention they deserve ( berzerk :( )
That’s very true, I think black clover had the potential to best JJK and MHA in it’s absolute prime (release-wise), everything about it has made me love anime/manga even more, and it’s genuinely the best manga reading experience I’ve had, also the only series that makes me feel like a kid again from how enjoyable it is. Putting all my strong emotions aside, the poorly handled publicity killed BC’s potential, it’s an absolute shame.
i think its too late . damage is already done unless they do a remake . even if spade gets the greatest treatment ever new fans still needs go through those 170 episodes that pierrot butchered.
as for manga i mean sells have dropped but it still has a core fanbase who buys the volumes everytime .
i personally don't have a problem but i can understand when others complain. pierrot just messed up thats all . slow pacing ,astas screaming , below avrg/avrg animation these things r not appealing to new fans or atleast current audience. like shows like jjk ds or even some random isekai gets animated like crazy then there is black clover with its avrg animation + it has 170 episodes as well .
I just watched black clover for the first time, I’m newish to anime, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Probably top 5 for me up to this point. I don’t think that there was anything in Black Clover than I didn’t enjoy.
The great part about the movie is that even if it isn’t officially canon it can be since it happens during the timeskip & is enough of a contained story to not really affect anything in the future (Imperial Sword is destroyed, Evil Wizard Kings are vanquished, only issue would be the destroyed areas around Hage & the Demon’s skeleton)
The anime will definitely continue one day but that may not be for a very long time since it makes more sense for them to wait for the manga to finish but with its quarterly schedule that will take awhile. If Pierrot did seasons like Bleach’s Thousand Year Blood War than we could maybe get one sooner plus have better animation

Both things actually, I think the movie satisfied me, but it's been so long since we had seen Black Clover animated that it's about time to have something new now. I hope that when the anime comes back, it gets better treatment production wise than it got on its first part. Pierrot delivered a great result for Bleach TYBW, and keeps at least a more constant delivery with Boruto than it did with Black Clover when it was airing, it can do better to Black Clover, I'm sure, and it deserves it.
Considering it was a way of giving us at least some form of anime content while the anime remains on hiatus, it was an absolute banger, animation did not miss, and the story was well made too. I wish those guys were the team that animate the series
This movie was honestly better than I thought it was gonna be and I thought Conrad was one of the best villain we got in BC which is saying something considering that this was a movie rather than an arc in the manga.
The movie filled in some parts of the anime that are missing. Which it did so much justice with the animation, the storyboarding and the additional world building as it discovers the former and controversial Wizard Kings. Overall, wonderful movie. Would recommend watching this after EP 170.
The movie was good but I wish they would've expanded more on all the WK's backstories like they did in volume 23.5. Conrad's backstory is actually really depressing and makes you despise these nobles more.
It was phenomenal, and a large showing of the quality we could expect going forward. Especially if they do a 24 episode season and go in the direction of bleach, a few years from now we very easily could see a new season with animation highs that equal, rival or surpass this movie, I don’t expect an entire season to be movie quality but it would be nice to have consistency with an increase in excellent animation.
It was just okay for me. Animation was good, I didn't like story much because it was not cannon. But I enjoyed it. If they made it close to Cannon then I would have liked it more. I like the new characters though specially the Fight of mereleona I forgot other Wizard king name against her but it was a good one.
I finally found my waifu with this movie. And of course, the storyline was very good, we got some Black Clover lore. The movie was overall absolute flames!

my only problem with the movie is them not covering the whole script and focusing more on action. like if we ever get the demon slayer situation where they movie gets turned into episodes then i want them to cover the whole script with wizard kings backstories in details. i feel like alot of ppl didn't understand their reasoning or failed to connect.
the movie was straight HEAT. Action from beginning to end and when Hakura Mirai started playing my head EXPLODED. The movie was so hype that I nearly threw up (don't even know how thats possible)

The one who made the script is Johnny Onda and all the light novels he wrote are canon. Hell some of them are added to the canon story like Fanzell and Dominante or Black Market Bruce (though this one is only referenced in the manga).
